I was in the area and in the mood for a simple Italian lunch and thought this would be a perfect choice, but was kind of disappointed with the food. I ordered a Caesar salad and a margarita pizza, pretty much the most simple items on the menu, and found them both to be extremely bland, no seasoning on either one. I could tell the ingredients were good and fresh, it just was completely lackluster food. My server was very nice and brought me everything I asked for in an effort to make the food better: salt, pepper, red pepper flake, Parmesan cheese- But it’s still just wasn’t very good.
The food was great and the server was awesome!
I have eaten here several times and always had a good time and a good meal. Get Courtney as you server and you will certainly enjoy the service and the warmth of a great waitress. The Boar Ragu is excellent.
Collet our server was amazing. Really good specials too
Very nice waitress. Food was fine.
Service and food was excellent!
We went to the Burlington location due to the fact that at the seaport location they didn’t do the pasta in Parmesan at the table. When we got there it wasn’t on the menu, different than the online menu. When we asked we were told it was only available on Tuesday. Then my wife decided on a dish on the menu that wasn’t available any longer. Once we got over those disappointments the food we did order arrived. The butternut squash pasta was so sweet it should have been a dessert item.
As for the service it was just adequate. The waitress was pleasant but very slow and did not set a good pace. The only time she was quick was to bring the check.
Overall it was a very disappointing experience.
Wonderful experience. The food and service was excellent. We are looking forward to coming back soon.
They have 8 pasta dishes of which 4 are ravioli. The ravioli taste as if they are out of a can. The prices are outrageous with small portions . I think the restaurant is to large with to many customers at once to produce quality authentic Italian food. Would not recommend to a friend!!!
New Year’s Eve
We went to Tuscan Kitchen as a party of four for an early New Year's Eve dinner. The ambiance was perfect, our waitress Jessica was top-notch, the pacing was very good and the food was, for the most part, excellent. I'm not sure what they do with their bread, but the bread, which seemed to be pre-soaked in olive oil, was seriously yummy.
For dinner, I ordered the dinner size portion of the Tortelli Brasato which was, for the most part, excellent. The sauce was absolutely perfect. The tortelli stuffed with short rib was melt in your mouth good. My only slight criticism was that the pancetta in the sauce was a little too fatty for my liking. I brought home my leftovers and it was delicious the next day as well.
I have to say that the calamari appetizer with crispy cherry peppers was a little disappointing. It arrived at our table crispy and hot which was great. However, I wish there had been more calamari and less peppers and also the whole plate was pretty over-salted.
I had the cannoli trio for dessert and, by that time, I was pretty full. So I ate one (which was a full size cannoli) and brought the other two home. The shells were crispy and the filling was sweet and creamy.
One of my companions had the Butternut Squash Cappellacci which she said was very good. Our other friend had gnocchi in a bolognese sauce which he practically inhaled (because he loved it) and my husband also had the Brasato. In addition, the cocktails were delicious, the coffee was hot and we were never rushed which made us all very happy.
It was a lovely holiday meal and we would come back again.
Ordered the calamari appetizer and it was burnt and very greasy. I wish I took a picture of it as I’ve never been served such low quality appetizer in my life. Waitress kept interrupting us literally every 10 minutes even though the restaurant was empty. And always when we were in a middle of a conversation. She will just stand there and lean and interrupt us when it was clear that we didn’t want to be interrupted. Will never go back. Service and food quality was absolute worst. Especially for the prices they charge.
Slow service in a half empty restaurant. Tries to be fancy and upscale, but fails on service.
We always get a great meal here and are regulars. Love the sirloin. And pizza.
Wish the dessert had been better, but our wait person was very accommodating.
Food was average tasting and kinda overpriced for what you get. Waitress took orders and then was nowhere to be found when one meal came out wrong. Took a while to flag down a manager.
The food was absolutely amazing! The prices are higher but worth every penny. I loved everything about the night and the place is so pretty too.
Gluten free ravioli is hard to find!
a disappointing Christmas eve dinner -the service was slow and had to remind the server for the drink ordered, the pizza was not done with soft crust and block cheese, the fruits were bad- tasted like they were left in hot summer sun for two days then put back in refrigerator.
Overpriced for the amount and quality. Was very disappointed. Worst shrimp scampi I have ever had. Salmon was good.
This restaurant is a terrible value. Portions are very small. One meatball cost $6.50 US. Not worth it at all. Never eating here again.
We have been coming to the Tuscan Kitchen in Burlington for about 4 or 5 years and truly loved the food back then. It’s been about a year since we visited and this time was really disappointing. The food was mediocre. The service was mediocre. And because there was a Patriots game on, we had to listen to yelling and whooping and hollering throughout dinner. We came for a nice dinner but felt as though we were at a Sports Bar. So disappointing.
Extremely burnt octopus, very loud birthday party next to the dining room, but otherwise good experience.
Great service! Great food!
We had the best time. Our waitress Judy was knowledgeable and attentive, the food was yummy, and the cannoli with candle was well received by the birthday girl. Thank you for another great meal.
We did an early family Christmas dinner after seeing the Star Wars opening. Everyone had a great time.
Great meal and excellent service by server. However, the front desk staff needs improvement. They need to understand, or be told, that a live person waited to be seated (especially when there are multiple parties to be seated), trumps a prospective customer on the phone.
Gary’s service was excellent & food was great!
Best service around. Delicious food. Menu could be a little more diverse but what they have is great. Will be back again.
This was a special dinner with friends to make up for a very poor experience at this restaurant.
The staff and management really stepped up and provided one of the best dinning experienced that I can remember.
The food was wonderful, the server was perfect and the manager came to the table many times to ensure we were well taken care of. I was very happy that this restaurant wanted the customer to have a great experience and be happy.
Unfortunately there was a large party in one of the function rooms and the doors were not being kept closed so the noise level was quite high.
Food was fine but service was lacking, had to ask for refills of water, ketchup, they never brought our coffee. Maybe they were overwhelmed, not sure
Thought the wine prices were higher than comparable places. Everything else was good
Nice Sunday evening dinner with good friends.
Food was delicious.
Waiter gave us enough time to chat with our friends without having to rush our orders.
Not as good as previous visits.. Quality was not worth the price paid. Doubt we will visit again.
A group of 4 had lunch on a Sunday. Our waiter was not
The food was average at best. Very pricey for the quantity and quality. Service was very good. It reminded us of an Italian Cheesecake Factory.
Everything was delicious as usual. Never a bad meal there. Had chicken scampi, was great. Had a very nice server, wish I remembered his name.
Excellent food & service by our server, Judy, who took great care of us.
Great experience, again. Consistently good food served by friendly faces who know how to make you feel at home. Always enjoy my time there, and ask for Christine - a great server!
Enjoyable dinner for 4 people. All had one of the pasta dishes and apps, pasta’s were all very good with good sauces. Would recommend.
