I had always wanted to try the chicken Parmesan so I ordered it. It was just Ok. I am Italian so my expectations may be a bit higher. The portion was very generous ( 2 chicken cutlets) I only ate 1/3 of one cutlet. Took the rest home for the dogs. Will not order that again.
little to no garlic options. allergy makes it necessary. probably just bad luck but the server needs some charm school.
Some of the best Italian fare around, always enjoy our visits.
Authentic ...........Wild Boar very good...............................
We had dinner at Tuscan Grill for our 50th wedding anniversary. The appetizer and salad were great. I ordered veal scallopini - the meat was tough and in a sauce that was not familiar to me and which I did not like. The waitress was great as was the service. It seemed quite expensive to me for what we got.
Ok, a surprise here! We were here last a few years back. It was excellent that time. This time really not that good. There were 4 of us this occasion. They're food was good(in their opinion)As for my self I don't like Marinara sauce(just never have) so this limits things like Chicken/Egg plant Parm, which the others had. I started with the Calamari, which while crisp, was definitely over cooked. The dipping sauce was decent enough. If only the Calamari was cooked the correct way. My main was the big disappointment. I had the Veal Scaloppini, which was tough as nails.(woefully overcooked) It was also what I would call an "App" sized portion. For the $25 for the entrée, I expected something more substantial. The veggies that came with the entrée were dripping in butter sauce. Normally, I would have sent it back, but our group was going to the Elton John concert in Boston & time was of the essence. I also miss the nice market that used to be outside the rest. Maybe sales weren't what was expected & they 86'd the store. They are expanding rapidly with several now from south of Boston up to the Portsmouth area. I think they should slow down & do a regroup & concentrate on upping the quality. The only reason I gave a "fair" rating is the others in the group seemed pretty happy. I'm more gourmet & it's the reason I wasn't happy. If not for the others, I would have rated it as poor/terrible. We'll wait a long while to see how they straighten out their act, before going back.
Gary, our server, was outstanding and attentive only when need be. The food was well prepared and it is
nice they offer half size portions. Desserts were wonderful and it will be a definite return. Have been
visiting this restaurant for years and never been disappointed.
Always A great place to go when you are
Looking for good food. Have been there several times and will continue to go back.
Had reservations 9/28/18 at 730pm girl at computer not very customer service, she said it will be a moment, so we step aside and look at pastry for 17min, then she comes over and says are we all set, I told her we were waiting for her to seat us, so we get seated ,drinks taste good but lite on alcohol, waitress forgets to put pizza In, but she took off bill, she tried and was nice, we were celebrating my wife getting a promotion as manager to a very well none property owners all over us, to top it off we had drain flies or fruit flies, around are table , very disappointing, not worth 2nd chance.
The food was pretty bland, veal was tough, the calamari was good but mostly cherry peppers.
Great food with some out of town visitors. The pasta was the best we have had in some time.
Convenient location, extensive menu, food was plentiful and good. Attentive service but not intrusive.
Went for a weekday lunch. There was only one server and she was in the weeds so service was not the best. Luckily, Catie Biggs the asst GM, saved the day and because of her, we will return.
Each of our entrees was very good, nicely presented, and of good quantity. We also enjoyed the molten lava cake...yum!
I had the ravioli with short rib stuffing...the flavors were delicious!
Go! You won't regret it!
Most enjoyable evening but I already posted a review.
The atmosphere was very inviting and comfortable. Our server, Elizabet, was patient and attentive to our table, with a nice personality. We’ll be back!
Excellent, as always. Great food, bread and wine selections. My kids love it.
My husband had been there with coworkers and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, our visit was underwhelming. The appetizer he raved about all week was terrible (scallops). The calamari had no taste and the sauce didn't go well with it. My pasta and shrimp was dry and was in desperate need of sauce. In addition, the waiter, while very friendly, took a long time to come back to us between courses. The table next to us waited at least 25 minutes to order. I wanted to live this place bc the ambience is nice but we won't be going back.
We had a great time for our anniversary. Food was delicious
We had dinner for 4 on Saturday night. It took over 2 1/2 hours as the service was incredibly slow and inattentive. The food was OK. The burrata arrived without any bread to accompany it. We asked and they never returned with it. My husband's veal scallopini was comparable to a children's menu portion. The shrimp in my shrimp scampi was beyond overcooked. At $25+ an entree, the value/quality is poor.
The restaurant is incredibly dark and noisy. We waited 20 minutes for our waiter to return with our check, finally flagging another waiter who did help us. Overall, we were very unsatisfied and will not ever return.
the food and the service were both very good.
Only complaint was with the person working the front
check in. Very cold,HE was not welcoming at all. Attitude needs
a lot of work
Aside from that, our server Sarah was great! and the food was
Really fine food and value. Nice atmosphere and good service.
Love this restaurant very allergy friendly would definitely recommend
Food was very good but all the wines were too expensive.
The food was delicious! Good thing we look at our bill because our waitress charged us for a bottle of wine that we did not order!
The drinks were great, but pricey. The bar service took a long time.
The salami and cheese plate was very good and well-priced.
My son had the smoked duck appetizer and the tuna and quinoa entree, both of which were plentiful and very tasty.
My husband and I ordered the entree portions of the short rib tortelli (ravioli) and the veal scallopine to share. There were FIVE tortelli (4 bites each). There was ONE, TINY piece of veal served (6 bites total) with pieces of potato and butternut to make the meal look whole. We were so astounded that we inquired about it. The server's response was casually dismissive.
We were NOT expecting platters of food with boxes to take home, but we were so shocked and very underwhelmed!! This used to be one of our favorite places.
Great restaurant! Food was exceptional. Was staff knowledable about food and wines. Parking easy. Loved it and will definitely return.
Great asset to the Burlington community of dining. Great authentic Italian Style food.
The food was delicious and up to our expectations, as we had been there numerous times. Our waiter was a bit too much of a commentary offering his personal opinions on all of our choices. Our disappointment was the negligence of even a small acknowledgement of my mother's 89th birthday, even after our waiter acknowledged it at the beginning of the meal. It would have meant a lot to her.
I love the octopus appetizer. I also enjoy pretty much everything else I ever have there, but the octopus is my current favorite.
All the food from appetizer, main entree, and the dessert were cooked to perfection.
Great ambiance, too.
I eat at the Salem one often and love it. This location I was disappointed in how FAST the food came, I mean within 10 mins of ordering - like it was already made and sitting there. Nuts. Also I was shocked how small the portions were compared to other meals I've had at their Salem location. Like surprisingly small - i mean 6 Gnocchis? 6? thats nuts for the price. So sadly this is why i've rated it so low. I'll come back but wow - step it up a little.
The food is great and the staff is very nice, we always have an excellent time here.
The food, service and ambiance are excellent. Four friends shared a lobster ravioli dish as an appetizer and it was delicious.
The food was good but not exceptional and felt like it was priced too high for the portion and overall value. The service was quite slow. We went on a Tuesday night so it was not very busy and the service was very slow. Overall, it's a good place for an Italian meal. Not exceptional but not bad at all!
Extremely pretentious and slow moving front desk staff who fail to realize that TK is not in the same league as Nobu - I recommend a long overdue reality check and attitude adjustment.
Food is decent, but way overpriced for what you get. Have also noticed great variability in prep quality between weekends (very good) and weeknights (spotty to just plain poor). They are clearly staffing with B and C players in the kitchen during the week.
Our servers have been great and deserve recognition for creating a pleasant experience. Also worth noting that the bar will consistently mix good drinks.
There are too many decent restaurants that are priced right with friendly staff in Burlington to recommend TK. Too bad - I really wish it was better.
This was for a birthday celebration. All was very good...food, service, and ambiance. Thought it was unusual/odd to have a cup of coffee be the freebie instead of the birthday dessert.
Ordered Gray Goose martini- $16 - not even in Boston do I pay this.
Ordered the Caesar salad- all the romaine was dark green and in very long strips and wilted, no light green crisp part of the head was used. The dressing wasn’t like any Caesar dressing I ever had - more like oil and vinegar, not creamy in any way and lacked any flavor. Was asked if I wanted anchovies and I did - salad came with one anchovy.
Ordered fried calamari and peppers - delicious! The basil aioli was wonderful.
Ordered the farrow salad, also delicious. Farro was cooked beautifully.
The service was wonderful but for $190 including tip, I had much higher expectations. Would go back again to try other things but would avoid any pasta dish and the Caesar salad
Ordered the shrimp scampi - the shrimp were very large and tasty but I have no idea what the concoction was that it was served with. Typically a scampi sauce is lemon, butter and garlic. I have no idea what this sauce was but it was absolutely horrible, like a starchy thick gravy. Tuscan Kitchen makes all their pastas in house so you would think it would be fabulous but this pasta was so over cooked it fell apart when you twirled it around your fork. Inedible and very disappointing.
Ordered the wild boar ragu with gnocchi. The portion was much too small but the ragu itself was amazing. I realize that gnocchi is by nature, a soft pasta but these were also like mush. Disappointing.
Beautiful setting. Busy waitstaff
