Fantas authentic Italian on the waterways
This was our first visit here. We arrived 45 minutes before our reservation time because our performance was over earlier than we expected. The restaurant was lively but they were happy to seat us right away on their outdoor patio, which we preferred anyway. Very cute place overall, and busy/popular. Wait staff came quickly. We were not offered any specials though later we heard a different waiter describe specials to another table. Since we were only sharing antipasto and salad it didn’t matter on this night so we can’t make a judgement about the rest of the food though we could see that pasta portions were large. Our antipasto was large 4 or more could have shared it. The cuts of meat were not exceptional but there were several types, and small bowls of green olives, Parmesan cubes and marinated mushrooms. It also had a caprese stack that was good. Very salty overall. The bread they brought was crunchy, garlicky. The Caesar was overly dressed. We would give the another chance to try entrees.
Their homemade pasta was worth the trip in and of itself!
This is the deal, it's not a huge place but every table was packed. They run this place very well and are smart about it. Multiple servers bring out the food all at once. The manager comes to each table to make sure everything is fine and compliments the guests (smart business man). This is the kind of place that makes a first-time guest feel like a regular. Wonderful place to bring a first date. If you order a single glass of wine they bring it to you in a carafe, an old school tradition forgotten these days. Very friendly PROFESSIONAL staff (knowledgeable, career-oriented waiters vs college kids looking to make a few bucks), with a wide variety of food. And most importantly, the food really is well done!
I had been to this restaurant a number of times when it was under a different ownership and chef. It has not sustained the changeover very well. Service was spotty (the waiter was a bit annoying and didn't provide the requests we asked for) and the food was just ok. Not bad by any stretch, but I used to really want to come back here, now I don't.
Good italian food ! I mean really good ! Every meal ,as we were 5 family members were astonished the taste of our choices. The octopus salad was really marvelous, we ordered the second one after the first one was göne in seconds! Good food and deserves every penny!
The food was excellent, I had the pumpkin ravioli! The best.
Very good food. Excellent service! Daniel was great with the kids.
We went for our 1st anniversary. We sat outside and were able to enjoy the Las Olas sights and sounds. Service was awesome and the food was delicious!
We will definitely be back!
Nice food in a pleasant terrace for evenings, good ambience and music, great service .
Wife and I had a lovely night out. We enjoyed an outside table by the street to people watch. Waiter was jovial and helpful. I elected to go with a veal Milanese with sautéed spinach with a Tuscan red wine and was just like I enjoyed in Italy.
We are always treated so well, it is like family to us.
The food is always excellent. The pasta dishes, branzino perfect, and the veal chop milianese outstanding. Service is friendly and accommodating. Venue with outside dining great.
Our waiter Vinny was a hoot! Straight from NYC. Fast ,efficient, gregarious. He knew how to please. The pizza was hot. The crust was crisp. The olives were whole (not sliced), seedless, but probably Greek and way too salty for our low salt diet tastebuds. I had a beet/arugula salad starter which was exceptional and almost a meal in itself. My wife had the recommended some kind of white, soft, Italian, beginning with a “B” cheese mixed with tomatoes, and red peppers app that was equally as good. We were headed to the airport for our return home flight and this fit the bill.
Our experience at Tuscan Grill was all-around average. The food was decent but very overpriced and the venue was very noisy. Not bad but not coming again...
Nice place, nice staff, but terrible food. Nothing authentic about. They even managed to make a terrible caesar salad. Very misleading.
The food is excellent, the ambiance in the outside seating area was great. I was a little disappointed in the service. May have been short handed. I asked for 2nds on bread (twice) and never got it. I was only drinking water (my husband had a couple of beers). They never refilled my water glass so I drank my husband's and they never refilled his glass either. The wait staff was very friendly just not efficient. Would definitely go back for a second experience
Thank you for a great evening.
Fabulous when in town will go again
The below street level dining is attractive. Food good and service professional.
Food was outstanding. Veal chop fantastic. Bolognese Pasta Great.
Calamari Beautifully done. Meatball Appetizer is a whole meal. Garlic Bread outstanding.
Food is excellent!
Outdoor seating is a plus on a beautiful Florida day (which is almost everyday).
Wonderful ambiance, food and drink. Service a bit brusque and surly but maybe just an off night. Will return and do recommend.
Antipasti plate, calamari fradiavlo, pappardelle, pear/ricotta ravioli all nicely done. Next time dessert and cappuccino.
Everything was wonderful, the table, the service and the food!
Upon reservation we were not provided with the option to select the terrace. Upon arrival requested for terrace however was told we would have needed to request it at the time of reservation. Lower level terrace was completely empty yet hostess did not offer to sit us there. Overall left us with a negative experience and not inclined to return even if the food was good. It’s not the what but rather the how.
Good food, bread “to die for”👍, charming server and support staff. A lovely experience.
Don’t ever ever ever order Dover sole from this place they don’t have a clue as to how to prepare this dish but they do know how to charge $45 per plate I don’t care about price but when you present a plate like this with skin on not seasoned brought to a table beside you and then to watch it butchered and put on your plate is disgusting unprofessional And created the worst I need experience of my life I was sick for two days warning try this place at your own risk I will never return
The best carpaccio anywhere. Fantastic bucatini amatriciana. Varied menu...always outstanding. Other than the food, a big part of the experience is the best restaurant manager I’ve ever observed: Gabby. Be sure to say hello to him...you’ll be part of his “family” before the night is over.
This is an outstanding restaurant. Everything was excellent. Better yet, prices were a bit less than others in the area. By all means, go here. I can't say it strongly enough. We will DEFINITELY return.
This place is often skipped by the locals because they tend to grab "touristy" folks off the street. I have been here twice in the last 60 days and it is a true gem. Food is fresh and authentic. Make sure you sit outside.
Best food and service on Las Olas. Amazing seafood cooked perfectly.
Food and service were excellent.
One suggestion... The limoncello offered at the end could be better. Too watered down, no lemon taste. Otherwise, everything else was great!
Every platter- from the unbelievably delicious grilled octopus salad to the fabulous gnocchi and irresistible pappardelle - was awesome. An absolutely memorable meal!
Great experience. Really loved the patio. Service was a little slow but my wife and I were not in a hurry. Appetizers and meal was excellent. We had calamari, meatballs and shared a Rib Eye for dinner. The steak was prepared VERY well with minimal seasoning. We would go back.
Me, my husband and brother-in-law went on Christmas day since our families were scattered around the Country this year. It was our first trip and I found them by googling places open on Christmas. It was a wonderful surprise. Everything from food to ambiance. I have already recommended it to many people and will definitely go back. It is not a large place by any means but I think that's what made it even better. But they do offer both patio/sidewalk as well as waterfront seating. Plus you get to walk Las Olas after a nice dinner, if you so choose. It was all in all a very nice experience.
Great food and service in a relaxing setting. Exceptional wine selection. More than substantial menu with many choices. Will definitely dine there again.
Nice location, food is good but not exceptional. Prices are average for the restaurants on Las Olas Blvd.
The staff did their usual great job, though were a bit slower than usual. Not a problem.
Using supplementary heating helped with the comfort level on the patio.
The food was extremely well prepared and delicious.
The outdoor dining area is located very. The food is authentic northern Italian. Service is excellent. Great place to have in the neighborhood.
Great food. Nice location in the heart of Las Olas Boulevard. The parking lot next door is priced accordingly.
