Tuscan Grill - Fort Lauderdale Ratings and Reviews
We make it a point to visit Tuscan Grill at least monthly whether it be for a special occasion or just for a great meal. Have a drink @ the bar, while you wait for a table on the spaciaous patio where the concert pianist is not only a terrific addition but incredibly talented adding to or completing a wonderful environment. Couple that w/ terrific sevice from Bobby or Valentino and you know your evening will be one you won't forget. Be it the specials or something simple from the menu, you can be sure the food will be fresh, beautifully prepared and to your liking. Cant recommend Tuscan Grill enough!
We Return To This wonderful restaurant Whenever in the area. Great menu choices...excellent food...good service. The snapper was delicious. They have a lower level outdoor garden which is open on weekends but the outdoor covered veranda was cozy. A great find...one of the best on Las Olas
We had originally booked a table outside near the river, but instead chose to sit outside on the patio facing the street. We felt the piano music directly in front of our table would make conversation difficult. Next time we would ask to be away from the music. The staff were most accommodating and kept checking throughout the meal if everything was to our liking. Our waiter, Douglas, was excellent, and we all enjoyed the food and ambiance. Good location on Las Olas.
Food ok but not great. Service terrible. Pushing and rushing experience even though we were the last seating on new year's eve and some people were just arriving. Many open tables...no excuse. $35 rigatoni...c'mon??? $62 veal chop....if you guys were only a *.....
Delightful experience! The service was impeccable. We had dietary restrictions and several questions and each one was patiently answered as the chef and waiter checked ingredients.
The bread was delicious. Gnocchi probably the best I've had. Nice outdoor area.
Tuscan Grill never disappoints. The quality is 100% as is location, service, and atmosphere.
The garlic bread is something out of this world- hard to push aside, but you must, the next course is delightful. Great location, at the beginning of Las Olas, far enough away from the crowds and wait, but still part of the vibe.
The ambiance and service were great, the food was the problem. The traditional Thanksgiving dinner was truly tasteless and bland. The arugula salad had too little dressing and the eggplant parmesan appetizer was mostly cheese and little eggplant. Maybe it's unfair to judge based solely on an uninspired Thanksgiving meal. but we felt a restaurant of this caliber should have done much much better. All in all we had a discouraging dinner and would not return.
The appetizer was great(Caprese). The entrees were excellent. The waiters know when to refill, bus and be seen and not heard. Terry is the best bartender in Ft. Lauderdale. David knows wine like Italy knows art. The entire experience was very professional. I would recommend this to anyone who likes Italian food. I will definitely return. Jim Exum
We had a great meal and a great time at the Tuscan Grill. We sat outside by the dock. There was a very good pianist playing too. Very romantic spot. Food was the best Italian we have had in Ft Lauderdale. Waiter was excellent making excellent recommendations for food and wine.
We will be going back!
Been here in the past and always had a good experience. This night was no different. Busy night with Boat Show in town, but evening was a true delight! Waiter was was a bit short with us and lacked personality, but his service was acceptable, and the food was very very good! Mussels fra diavolo were perfect, and the complimentary bread may have been The Best I've ever had! Papardelle with sausage ragu was perfectly prepared, although I would have preferred fresh pasta over dried....but still enjoyed it very much! All in all it was an excellent experience. ..I will return.
Absolutely perfect combination of great service and very tasty food. We had a relaxing evening with wonderful piano music, a patient server who readily answered our questions and capped off with food that was absolutely delightful. The cheese ravioli appetizer had a wonderful combination of flavors. The saltimbocca special melted in your mouth. Definitely a place to return to for a wonderful evening with great food and friends.
Our meal was fantastic. The Octopus appetizers superb as were the Gnocchis a la vodka and the short rib. To top it off, the Ricotta Cheesecake!
Service is always very nice and having a parking lot right next door makes it very convenient.
4th time dinning here and will come back many times.
Best food on Las Olas. The prices are reasonable the quality is superb. The owner, manager and their entire staff do everything possible to make this a great dining experience. Try the new wood burning been chef by the name of Marco is a master in the kitchen.
Food and waiter were very good. Expected a romantic dining experience, which began well with a quiet table in the corner. Unfortunately, shortly after placing our order, a group of 10 rather loud teens were seated at a table next to us and put a damper on the evening. Poor judgement by the host. Probably would not return after that experience.
Food and service was good The outdoor seating area by the water was closed so that was a little disappointing. Also if a restaurant is going to add gratuity to the bill they should tell you. I did not notice it until after I had completed the credit card receipt and then had to change it..
I will start with the only negative. I chose this restaurant for my wife and I's anniversary based on food reviews and strongly based on pictures of outdoor dining in a garden setting with flowers trees umbrellas etc. I thought it would be romantic. Only to find out that this section is closed during "off season". Indoors was empty on a Thursday night, so we dined at an outdoor table by the street out front. It was not romantic and we sweat our you know what's off. I wish that was noted on the website about that area not open year round.
The food was very good as was the service. Richard was excellent, especially showing patience choosing a wine, as we are not wine savvy! The Mozzarella cheese in the appetizer was like dessert. the slow cooked short rib over a nice Risotto was really rich and flavorful. Although I am not a big fan normally of Tiramisu, this was the best I have had-awesome. We were given complimentary Bruschetta to start and a complimentary shot of Lemonchello, which by the way was extra smooth. All in all, a nice meal, we will dine there again, but maybe inside until fall. We are locals.
We have not been to Tuscan Grill in a long time. Decided to try it and were not disappointed. The menu has an excellent selection of Italian dishes. The special veal chop was very good. We ordered a side of broccoli rabe that was YUMMY. The service was attentive and friendly. Great dining experience. We will return soon.
One of the factors I take into consideration when making dining choices is consistency. Dining at Tuscan Grill always rates high on the list . Comfortable outdoor dining [ our choice ], crisp Italian bread doused in oil and garlic with olive's and tomato's as a chef's tasting gift. help complement a wide choice of wines or cocktails to start the dining experience. Many appetizer, salad and entree options make your choice difficult, but try the Branzino in Parchment Paper, or the Rigatoni in Bolognese sauce. It's Cabaret dining as a wonderful pianist plays classical and popular songs to dine by throughout the evening. Ask for Valentino to take care of you when you check in. Best of all, you don't max out the credit card to pay the bill.
I ordered from the 3 course menu and selected the snapper. The fish had no taste and was elastic. It did not taste good at all and all I tasted was the egg white it was dipped in. Th e presentation was fine, but the food was not up to my expectation. I think the fish was previously frozen or old. I would order pasta next time.
The Hostess was a little curt with my 87 yo Dad ,who has trouble hearing, when he asked her a couple questions. This put a damper on the Father's Day dinner celebration on June 20, 2015. The server however was excellent.
Will I return? Sorry, that Hostess killed any chance of that..
We visit every time we come to Fort Lauderdale and on our last visit we had a group of ten. Reliably excellent food and service. We almost always choose the specials which change regularly. The outside downstairs seating area is great for groups and service there is as good as in the restaurant proper.
