This place never disappoints, the food is reliably good every time I go and the service is always great.
The quality of Of the flavors combined with the visual appeal of all the dishes made this a wonderful dinner for us. In addition, the staff was incredibly accommodating for a group of six Adults, one with a broken foot, and two infants
Great Mediterranean cuisine, friendly service, obliging kitchen.
This was my forth visit to Turquoise. I had with me a "fussy" eater who was a little skeptical at first. After the terrific bread his skepticism seem to wane. After the Lemon Chicken it had ended...by the Crème Brule he was planning his next visit. I always choose the Chicken Kabobs - they are tasty and the most juicy I have ever eaten.
The service was terrific. That has not always been the case. We had a new server who recently joined the staff. He was personable and very attentive. He recently moved to Chicago from Iowa...good for us!
Second time eating there. First was quite good. This time was disappointing. Service was very slow. Mussels appetizer bad enough to be sent back. To their credit, we were not charged Well past fresh and tasted off. Main courses were fine but not exciting. Not at all like previous experience in the summer.
We orderd a round of gold raki, it was pretty strong, but we wanted to try it. For an appetizer we enjoyed the Patlican Salatasi, to us it tasted like salsa mixed with guac. It was fresh and light. My friend ordered the Beef Kebab and I had the Turkish Delight. Happy to report that both the meat and vegetarian options are good here. The portion sizes are generous as well.
Turquoise is a great neighborhood find. The food is authentic and always delicious. The bread is my new addiction. There is an eggplant spread on the list of appetizers that is a must. Their chicken kabob is always juicy. I have had some really dry kabobs but not at Turquoise. At lunch the crowd is not as large as in the evening and the place quieter. This is a place that I return to and take clients.
Our second time at Turquoise. Excellent bread, our vegetarian friends stuffed themselves with egg/cheese pide, I love the ground lamb pizza. The Shepard's salad without dressing (does not need any) is excellent for low fat option.
We had a great lunch, outdoors on a beautiful day. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, the food was interesting, fresh and very tasty. All in, a terrific experience.
Great food. Great service. Excellent menu. Hard to decide what to order
Wonderful neighborhood gem. Great location on a quiet Roscoe street.
Authentic savory, healthy and diverse menu.
The salmon and the branzino fish are outstanding (I had them on 2 different occasions :-). I’ve been coming back for few years now and never disappointed. Highly recommended
Service was just awful. They try and serve thru trainees at dinner time!! Why? Pls don’t go there.
We are not usually in this neighborhood, but had occasion to be. I went online and from what I saw, I picked this restaurant. Everyone with me loved it! The food was delicious!
Great first time dining at Turkish restaurant. Server provided great suggestions Wonderful experience
Food was not exceptional for the price. Not terrible either.
The waiter said he can't split the check, he never asked if we wanted to.
Once and done, not going back.
Turquoise's food never disappoints. I have been for lunch and dinner and each time, the quality and authenticity is outstanding. Service is very friendly and attentive.
Great neighborhood dining. The carrot and yogurt dip an freshly made bread are delicious. White tablecloths give this place a bistro feel.
Good authentic Turkish food. Probably as good as you can get without all the very very fresh vegetables and fruits in Turkey.
Turquoise never disappoints me.
I love the carrot salad they start with and the bread is sooooo worth it! I can’t eat there without getting the Mujver (zucchini beignets).
The fries look amazing!! Total weakness! Getting them next time.
It’s a classy place that you you don’t have to dress up for and quality food! Nice atmosphere also. My Aunt always orders Salmon when we dine together and she loved it. It is wild caught. One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago!
Excellent Mediterranean cuisine. Good choices for wine. Great service.
Neither of the dishes we ordered was very good. The salt baked fish was too salty and the lamb with eggplant purée had a tiny amount of meat and was not very tasty. The staff was nice and service was good.
Great spot with an awesome atmosphere! The staff will take excellent care of you!
Everything was great. The only hiccup was the initial service. We waited a good 10-15 minutes before someone got to us.
4 adults and a two-year-old. Perfect setting, great food, good wine. One of the best meals we have had in a while.
It was the longest dinner we have ever experienced. We thought the waiter forgot about us each time he left. But I will admit he was very nice when he was present.
One of the best meals I’ve had in my life!!!!!
We really enjoyed our dinner, the service at times was a little slow and water was slow to be filled. Loved the Lemon Chicken & Lamb shank!
Great food, terrible service. Took 30m to get a glass of wine after being seated. We had to keep constantly asking the waiter to come back to the table for more water, bread, drinks, etc. Have been there 3-4 times & service is extremely slow and inattentive. Great food, location, & ambiance keeps us coming back but we don't always have 2+ hours for dinner.
The food is very good and the portions are perfect. They have homemade bread which is out of this world that they serve with a wonderful carrot like spread. The outdoor seating is so nice but not to many tables. Server was quite helpful with the menu choices. I would surely go back.
I love this place! Best hummus and falafel in Chicago. Nice ambiance inside. White table cloth service inside. Outdoor seating is relaxing. Easy street parking usually.
Food is delicious. The spread served with the bread basket is worth the visit alone.
Already planning a trip back! The app platter was vegetarian friendly and we're still talking about it. I had a stuffed pepper dish that thinking about today makes me salivate. So glad we took an Uber driver's advice to experience Turquoise!
First time at Turquoise. Loved the Mediterranean menu with more than typical options. We were a group of eight and everyone ordered something different. All happy with our food! Service was attentive, waiter was good with food suggestions. We will come back.
Not the first time we dined there. Love the food especially the Turkish Delight. Service was great as usual. My only complaint is that when it's crowded it's loud, but that won't keep us away.
We so enjoyed our time there -- from entering until departure. The food was excellent. A couple of us had salads: the Turquoise salad and the Shepherd salad -- F.R.E.S.H. with a nice serving of the many proteins from which to choose being only $5.00 additional. One had shrimp, the other salmon. Then the others ordered Imam Bayildi -- an eggplant dish -- and the Doner Kabob-- both lamb and beef. Both dishes were attractive looking and quite enjoyed by their eaters. The wine drinkers ordered a bottle of something red that pleased them both very much. Because of a birthday being celebrated, we also ordered both Creme Brulee and the Turkish custard, Kazandibi, because we wanted to compare them. Both delicious. I need to get back to this restaurant as there are may other items on their menu that I wish to try.
It was so good there. We went for dinner and sat outdoor. It was so wonderful.
We enjoyed the meal. One appetizer was not made by mealtime. I thought we had cancelled it but it came when we were thinking about dessert.
We have been wanting to try this restaurant since we saw it on TV. What a complete disappointment. The service was simply terrible. The food came out cold and every dish was mediocre at best. We would never go back.
Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Great food and people. So many fantastic dishes!
Fresh, delicious food. Service was lovely. We enjoyed a Turkish wine and tons of salad, mezze sampler and kebabs. Everyone was happy with the bread and dip that came out first since we were really hungry. Outside seating though it was 90, so we sat in. All in all, great experience.
