Delicious food. Great ambiance.
I think we’ve found our favorite seafood restaurant in New England! Highly recommended!
Good food, great service. Good value.
Loved the cozy atmosphere and fireplace after walking in the cold from our nearby hotel. My filet was perfectly medium rare and came with a delicious crabcake. My hubby got fish 'n ' chips which he loved but wished he'd ordered the bistro portion as the full portion was way too much for him.
Our waiter was attentive and got everything right.
Overall, excellent. We'd go back!
As always a delicious meal. Our favorite server, Kim, helped us make the perfect choices, and added to our fun. It was another great night at Turner! Thank you guys!
Turners in Salem is one of my favorite restaurants. They never disappoint with food and service. However, this weekend I was very disappointed to see the restaurant made the choice to put televisions in the dining area. I never mind them in the bar, because I feel that is where they belong, but not while I’m dining. I feel part of the reason to going out to dinner is to get away from the screens - tv and phone. I hope you reconsider leaving them in the dining areas.
This is a pleasant place with good ambience and service, but I was disappointed in the seafood. I had crab cakes that were mostly bread. My friend had swordfish in a heavy sauce -- a waste, according to me
We had the perfect evening at Turner’s. Our waitress Kelsey was amazing. She was attentive but didn’t rush us. She also found out we were celebrating a Birthday and offered a complimentary dessert. The food was outstanding and not over priced. It was the best meal I have had in a long time. I highly recommend this restaurant and will return for sure!
I went to the Salem location this past Sunday on 1/6/2019 for a birthday dinner. We were sat immediately after having made a dinner reservation, however there was no one waiting in front of us on a Sunday night. We waited only a short minute before being greeted by a nice guy in his late 20's. He was very relatable, and made us feel right at home. He took our order. The Lobster stew was TO DIE FOR. A short while later, our meals came out. No issues with our order or preferences were noted. However, he was clearly new as we were not offered bread (we noticed this after many other tables around us had bread and we asked for it), and did not provide the history of the restaurant like other waitstaff had. All in all, he was still very good, clearly training/new in his role, and did a fine job otherwise. Thank you Turner's! We will be back.
Good place for fish dishes properly cooked. Service was a little slow, but not enough to affect opinions. Fish chili appetizer was a pleasant surprise.
The Buffalo scallops appetizer was something we ordered out of curiosity and found to be amazing. Our waitress was also very attentive and gracious as well as all the other servers - wonderful experience overall.
Celebrating friend’s birthday, waiter, Jason, let us talk, was wonderful to us. Cold day, fire blazing was so nice!
Turners is consistently my favorite Salem restsurant. The food and service are always top notch.
New Years dinner. We have been going here for NYE dinner since it opened. Always fresh seafood and great service.
New Year’s Eve early dinner
Have always been happy with our visit to Turner. One of the best Restaurants on the North Shore.
I have one complaint after arriving home I received a email which I felt was insulting as to why I did not
Make our reservation and what to do if we needed to cancel. We would never not show up with a reservation in place. Would certainly call if not making the reservation. Was very annoyed by the email.
We went right to the desk inside the door and gave our name and was seated.
As far of the meal and service it was excellent .
Standard (adequate) lobster cocktail. The crunch salad was, as expected, excellent. Pistachio-crusted tuna did not have much of a "crust," but was otherwise fine. My Gloucester sole, however, was a major disappointment, surprisingly tasteless and utterly boring. Perhaps my ignorance of what a Gloucester sole is, but the individual filets were tiny, undercooked, and underwhelming in flavor.
Turners is a normally excellent seafood establishment. So, don't order the sole and you'll be fine.
Fantastic from start to finish! The food was amazing and the service was top notch!
Great food and excellent service. Highly recommend the lobster bisque, fish and chips and the chopped salad.
From being greeted by your hostess, to suggestion for a drink while I awaited my group, The chocolate and chambourd martini was best. The fireplaces were light, the holiday decorations beautiful and our waitress was right there when we needed her. Free Sunday parking just across the street. Will make Turner’s a future meeting place for family get together, equal distance for all!
Thank you for making our holiday get together special
My dish, the lemon pepper shrimp, was horribly over salted and the shrimp over cooked. My husbands dish, the baked stuffed shrimp was very good as was our appetizer of mussels. The service was good. They were very busy as always, our waiter, Michael was attentive. We had reservations and were seated in under 10 minutes.
Absolutely amazing! Everything from the oysters to the crab cakes were the best I’ve ever had!
We were visiting Salem for the first time if your doing the same you must have dinner here. Best Seafood in all of Salem
We love Turners Salem but would never go again on a Saturday night. Way over-crowded, very loud music and got a crappy table way back near the bar (not even a window) with a Rez and waiting extra time over that. Service was sluggish despite our nice wait staff best efforts, clearly overstretched. Couldn't even get a water refill, waited to be able to ask - and get - wine refills. I brought important guests for their first time there and was embarrassed. We'll stick to our lovely quieter lunches there from now on. Maybe it's a chaos-loving crowd on Saturday nights and we Day regulars are too old! :))
Service was great. We sat at the bar and had a great experience. Food is great
A very pleasant experience. Beautifully appointed for the holiday season. Very good meal. JS
Perfect ending to a visit at PEM. Nicely prepared fresh seafood, good drinks.
What can I say? Turners knocks it out of the park every time. We go to turners when we want the freshest and tastiest seafood. hands down THE best seafood restaurant around & the service & ambiance match the incredibly delicious food. I had the pistachio encrusted yellow fin tuna and it was the best I’ve ever had & my wife had one of the pasta specials with chunks of lobster and it To was very good, oh ya we started off with the Napa salad and that was a very, very good salad! We both love turners, they never disappoint and we cannot wait to visit them again!
Really excellent food and service! Chowder was great as was everything else!
Tables are very close together and it is a bit loud
We went for dinner but filled up on lobster bisque and other apps. Really enjoyed it. Will go again. Had a cozy table in the back and great service.
This restaurant accommodates our dairy-free diner. The seafood/fish is always fresh and delicious.
As a Salem local, Turners has become one of our go-tos for family celebrations and special nights out. Food is on the expensive side, but is always delicious, especially the seafood. Extensive wine list as well. Service is impeccible and staff are friendly, attentive. I don't think I've ever walked out of Turners disappointed.
Not a place to go if you have plans afterwards. Took an hour and forty minutes just to get our food. Food was good and atmosphere was wonderful.
Loved our experience at Turners on Saturday night. Everything was perfect. I had the surf and turf. My fillet was perfectly cooked and the crab cake was delicious.
Love the atmosphere as well as the food. Baked stuffed Shrimp is my favorite its one of the best recipes I have come across. Service was wonderful as well. Very clean, including the rest rooms.
Our small business had our holiday dinner out at Turner's for a table of eight. Everyone with pleased with the experience and price was fairly reasonable considering how good and local the food was!
Seems like a tired place, in need of refurbishment and a more contemporary menu. The salmon and tuna burgers were overdone and lack much taste, and the sides were also bland.
Turners provides consistently great food everyday. Best k
Our server was very nice. The stuffed shrimp were over-stuffed w a very rich stuffing. The shrimp were a bit tough. The oyster Rockefeller were delish!
