EXCELLENT MENU GREAT CHOICES GREAT APPS GREAT DESSERTS
The best seafood ever with consistent quality and service and wonderful creations. I find Turners to be even better than Maine seafood.
Always a great meal although sometimes there can be quite a wait on weekend nights.
We love this place. The fish is always super fresh, and they have great craft beer on tap for a good price. We love sitting at the bar. We do not order from the dinner menu. It is just ok. Appetizers and raw oysters, soups are the best value for the money.
Our reservation was not on their computer...as of February 1, 2019 they had dropped OpenTable. Luckily they were able to seat our party of 4. Your system needs to be updated.
The oysters are the best! The waitress was begonia. The food is always delicious. The best dessert I have ever had was the chocolate torte. I get it every time and it never disappoints. That alone is worth the trip.
My sister from Malden recommended Turner's, especially its seafood. I was with a party of four from Maine where the seafood is excellent, but Turners would have been competitive with anything from Kittery to Bar Harbor. I had the scallops, my wife the shrimp, i washed it down with an Oyster in Purgatory bloody mary and shared a plate of Belgium Muscles with one of the others. All was great and Turners is definitely on the list when ever I visit the area (wish it was there when I lived at South Cedar Park!)
The fish here is very fresh, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The quality has been consistent over the decades. We love the Salem location, too.
Food was underwhelming and overpriced. So disappointed.
Experience outstanding! Chowder was superb, meals were exceptional, service was professional yet friendly, —all in all a gem of a restaurant!
Seafood was cooked just right; soup was creamy; highly recommended. Wine list was extensive; price reasonable!
In the past I have been critical of the service at Turner's Melrose. During this visit the service was tremendous. What a difference. The food is always worth going there for. But now if the service is good too, well now they have it all.
Another excellent experience at Turners!!!
Turner’s offers high qualityfresh seafood in traditional and innovative preparations. Prices are quite reasonable, and the staff is friendly, efficient, and professional.
We had an awesome experience at Turner’s. The food was exceptional and the service 5 star. The only draw back was we were sitting at the bar and the guy next to my husband was invading his space. Because his wife took a single seat at bar and he did not have one
Turners never disappoints. We always enjoy the delicious food and the cozy atmosphere. A gem!
Great seafood restaurant that I find beats Summer Shack and Legal Seafoods. Oysters are always delicious and perfectly shucked. Good variety on the menu from sandwiches to entrees and fried seafood platters. Sides are good too. Service is always professional and prompt. Decor is cozy and well thought.
Surprisingly great time given the poor reviews regarding service
Noisy but food freshness quality and service outshined the noise
Will definitely go back
Food very tasty ..... fish is fresh .... nice sized portions.
As always, GREAT food and great service! We had friends visiting us from San Fran and they were both VERY pleased with our dinner experience at Turner's!
Consistently good quality. Love the ambiance, especially at Christmas. Warm and cozy. Friendly and welcoming environment. Superb fish!
Our waitress was wonderful, attentive without being overbearing, bartender at oyster bar acknowledges us right away . Will be back again..
Waitress was awesome she made our night! Wish I caught her name but she was great! Food was delicious as always. Can’t wait to go back!
Been here a million times and service and food are usually always exceptional. I know it is a busy time of the year, but service was not up to par at this visit.
Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Two of us had one of the specials, which was a crab cake stuffed haddock with lemon caper cream sauce and it was outstanding. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. The dining area was a little crowded and noisy but it did not take away from our wonderful meal. We were very pleased with our experience overall.
Always great food and great service!!! Seafood is the best all year!!!
There were 4 of us and we had salmon with peas and pasta, bake stuffed shrimp, crab cake, and fish & chips. All were good, although the salmon dish was a little overloaded with cream sauce. Less would have been better. The booths are also a little too cramped for a party of 4, but overall it was very good and I'd recommend it.
What a nice eating atmosphere. We really enjoyed the experience. I like more than Legal.
Love the food, service very good but really noisy and loud
What a great find for seafood in the area. Thankfully made a reservation and were seated quickly. Once seated, we were greeted and taken care of as well as anyone could expect. The raw oysters served were good and decent sized and the grilled swordfish was excellent as a choice. All of the seafood options available seem to be very fresh and delicious. I would recommend this to anyone seeking a local (not a large conglomorate chain) restaurant. The dessert options were delicious and very recommended.
We three thoroughly enjoyed the Harvest salad with apples, pecans, etc and a bowl of utterly delicious Lobster Bisque! What can I say, it was heavenly! We finished with coffee and tea. We were too full to consider dessert - next time!
Turner's is a neighborhood favorite: cozy, fun, boisterous, good times for everyone!
Turner's has the knack to make everyone feel like family. That's why we keep coming back.
Great food, loved the atmosphere and witty waitperson. Will be back!
Consistent, fresh, great combos for meal options.
Fun place. Festive for the holidays. I even placed my Christmas order while waiting(waited 15 min-not bad for a place you can’t get into)
Our waitress was great. The two bartenders were terrible. They were not aware, it took 10 minutes before we were acknowledged while one of wiped the counter staring off into space. Once we sat down it took 15 minutes to get a drink. Truffle oil, tomatoes and brussel sprouts do not go together - disappointing. The scallops and oysters were fresh and delicious!
Went during Christmas time and the entire staff wore Christmas sweaters. Loved the decorations and lights, food was great and loved the ambiance! Would return and recommend!
Delicious! We had raw oysters and clams! Had wonderful linguini and clams. A ginger snap eggnog drink was out of this world!
Great experience, food and service were excellent
It was freezing in there!!!!!
Great food, as always. Our service was very slow, would have gotten more drinks and dessert if we had been able to locate her. Bread took 15 mins to arrive after we ordered, never refilled our waters. Hopefully just a one-time thing, other visits have had no issues.
