Sunday Brunch and the food was delicious!
Had a reservation and waited 20 minutes to be seated.
Too crowded and too noisy.
Great food and waitress
Will not come back on weekend.
Food was good, as always, but service was incredibly slow. Never had our waters refilled + had to go to the bar to get our own bottle of wine.
We had a very special waitress named Kimberly. She provided the best service ever. She went over and above what would be expected. I gave a big hug when we left.
My friend and I had a wonderful experience. We made a reservation for 2 and was seated at that exact time. The waitress was great and very helpful for our first time there. Our overall experience was great and I will return.
Our waiter was nice but he seemed to be spread a bit thin. The food was just okay. I heard good things and decided to try it but it didn’t live up to my expectations. I’ll give it another go before I completely write this place off.
The restaurant is always cold inside. It would be nice have the restaurant is at room temperature
The only complaint that we had was that it was so uncomfortably cold inside. Our hands, feet, and noses were icicles by the time we left.
The sweet potato pancakes and fried chicken were incredible. The hot chocolate, however, was cold and gross.
We've been to this Tupelo Honey several times and the service always seems slow. We waited almost an hour for our food and some of it was cold by the time it reached our table. The restaurant also seemed cold inside (it was in the 40's outside... and the AC was blasting). The food was ok, other than the temperature... I had one gin and tonic - over $10! Meh...
We sat next to the windows / balcony on a cold night. I think it might have been warmer outside! We complained about the cold but were told that it was an old building and it was what it was. Walking to the restroom, the rest of the building felt much warmer.
The restaurant was cold so we moved to the bar (where it was marginally warmer). Food was just ok. Server was friendly and helpful.
Outsyanding 100 percent. Great waitress Kimberly and great food. Southern Charm at its best
This was our first visit to Tupelo Honey in Charlotte after having been to the Asheville location. Food was consistent quality and tasted great. This visit we had the fried pickles appetizer, pimento cheese burger and an avocado/egg sandwich. The service was fine, however, we felt our server was trying to clear our plates without asking or knowing if we were still eating which we didn't love especially since the restaurant wasn't busy. The ambience is relaxed and the noise level supported conversation. The day we visited the ladies room could have been much cleaner. We would like to visit again sometime and see how their brunch is.
Man oh man I’ve never Brunched so HARD in my life! Soooooo freaking good! Tons of great menu items from classic southern to modern spins on long time favorites. EAT HERE...you’re welcome :)
Birthday lunch for our son. Special order salmon and grits was a home run for my husband. My potato cracklings were a little hard and had no seasoning. Blueberry compote was delicious on our complimentary biscuits. Waitress never refilled our drinks.
Went here for a quick breakfast before going to the airport, and had amazing food and great service. Justin, my server, was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and once I let him know I had to be at the airport by a certain time, made sure I received my food and check quickly. Thanks for the great service!! If I’m ever back in Charlotte, I will definitely eat here again!
Food was not hot
Great service and food. A bit pricey but overall awesome experience.
Tupelo Honey - South Blvd location has great food, great service and a great location.
Our server was amazing.
We were just a bit 'off' at first as the staff seemed to be put out about serving us - not sure why. However, we won them over and found our experience to be quite pleasant. We will definitely come again.
Great food and drinks, service was lacking. We were not checked on, offered more beverages, and had to get up and find our server twice, once to refill our chips that came with our appetizer and again to get our check.
I’ve eaten at Tupelo Honey’s in several cities and it never disappoints. Never had a bad meal or service.
Good service. Timely meal
We reserved a large group of 7 adults and 7 kids ages 3-13 for a Sunday afternoon birthday brunch. Our party was accommodated very well and the servers (Cole & Iesha) were very attentive and personal. The restaurant has a nice location and vibe to it. The food was also great and well priced. I look forward to coming here again with a smaller party.
Food came out EXTREMELY fast. It was the fastest meal we had all weekend for a party of 7. Food wasn’t as filling as it seemed but service was great
Very good food and drinks for moderate prices. Great, attentive service despite the restaurant being quite crowded for Sunday brunch. Definitely recommend making a reservation for weekend meals.
Great Brunch! Food was terrific and service was very good. It is noisy but still well worth trying!
I have been to Tupelo honey a few times. Last Sunday was disappointing. My sausage was not cooked well, my husband said little meat was in his southwestern omelet, my son in law thought his portion of French toast was inadequate.
We were disappointed .
Overall it was a good experience. It was a tad bit loud in the dining area but I didn’t feel like I was screaming to talk to the person beside me. My daughter ordered off the kids menu and got the pasta with butter. It was watery upon it being serviced, as if it hadn’t been drained all the way. I felt like the “all natural fries” were a tad under seasoned. Our server was nice and friendly, although service was slow... who. May have been due to the time that we were there (11:00am brunch).
The image and experiences at TH have always been good for me, but my other visits have been to a Asheville NC location. On this visit to Charlotte, the food was very unimpressive. Among 4 people we ordered 3 appetisers and 4 entrees. All agreed that only one appetiser and one entree was good. I was personally disappointed in their "specialty" honey chicken. It was dry and not very flavorful at all. We ate dinner early (6:30ish) so I would have expected everything to be fresh.
Will eat at a different location of TH again, but not this one.
My Mac & cheese was cold, fried chicken wasn’t well seasoned.
I will give this place another try because I really loved the apps and the ambiance
Based on this particular visit I cannot recommend as I normally would. It was not what I've come to expect from Tupelo Honey. I usually enjoy it very much; however, this time things were definitely off. Okra and potatoes were spot on, but everything else was a disappointment. Food was cold when it arrived and didn't have much flavor. I ordered coffee twice and it never arrived. The mimosa tasted sour as if really bad orange juice was used. I'll go again and hope the next visit is a return to the great food and the great service I've come to expect.
I've been to multiple Tupelo Honey locations, and to this location for brunch twice now. Overall the food was good, but overpriced for what you get and under-seasoned. The waitress suggested I try the avocado toast after I told her what I was looking at, and I cannot state how disappointed in it I was. It was fine, but at $15 I did at least expect the eggs to be warm and the side to be more substantial than a pile of arugula. Also, the mimosas start at $7.75, the last time I ate here they must have been running a special because I know they were no more than $3 that day, which led to overall disappointment.
I feel I should add that the biscuits and blueberry compote were amazing as always, and this is one of the best porches to eat on in Charlotte. The string lights and blue painted ceiling are beautiful and make me feel like I'm in Charleston. I'd say if you go, maybe go for lunch or consider getting one of their meals that includes chicken, the fried chicken is always good here. I probably won't be back for brunch
6 of us went for breakfast at 9.00 a.m. on a Sunday morning and overall we were very impressed. Our server was very attentive and kept topping up our coffees and drinks and even asked us if he should make it a priority to get the orders out first for the 2 young boys who were with us. The food was delicious, with lots of choice but we did have one little niggle. My daughter & I were a little bit disappointed with the small amount of Hollandaise Sauce on our Eggs Benedict, although I think if we had mentioned it earlier, we may have been given some more. However, we all said we would definitely go back another time and try their dinner menu.
Delicious!!! Had the fried chicken. Many wonderful sides
Not our favorite trip to this restaurant. Both our meals had to be redone. 30 minutes to get a decaf coffee....
The food was prepared very well however it lacked taste to me. My wife loved it but it was bland in my opinion.
My friend and i went for brunch on a Saturday. Was sat in a timely manner. Waiter was overwhelmed as i found out later he was double sat. He wasn't attentive to refills. My food was great, however my friend's bacon was cold. Everything else on her plate was hot. Management made sure she received hot bacon. Server came around twice total.
