Great evening. All but myself were first time diners and all had good things to say.
Outstanding service and yummy as always. One out go to places when we have people from out of town visiting
Excellent service, delicious food! I would highly recommend and will go again. I can’t wait from them to open a branch in uptown.
We went on a Sunday, made a reservation got there 30 minutes too early and waited 10 minutes over our reservation. The food was great, our waitress was awesome too.
Tasty southern dishes with a wide range of products for every taste!
Very poor service
Wonderful. Darnell the executive chef and assistant general manager was personal and accommodating v
Great time meeting up with friends. Although it was slightly warm in the restaurant, it was probably due to it being extremely hot outside. Food was fantastic!! Brussels were wonderful!! Will definitely be going back!!!
My wife and I tried the fried chicken and it did not live up to our expectations. I had the fried chicken honey dust and wife had the fried chicken sweet spicy siracha. After this visit, we decided that Tupelo Honey is better at breakfast time.
The server was great, the food was not good, smallest wings we've ever seen and their special chicken is priced too high and does not even come with one side, over priced and very small portions.
This was my 2nd visit to this establishment while visiting my sister in Charlotte and on both occasions, I was very disappointed. Ordered sweet potato pancakes, both times cold. On 2nd visit, pancakes were cold and appeared reheated (curled, hard edges). Management, on both visits, appeared slow to address the problem with adequate customer service. On first visit (sister's birthday) the manager on duty said he cooked the pancakes himself after a third attempt. On 2nd visit, waitress remedy was to remake pancakes, and remove one order of pancakes from the bill, although there were 2 orders that were cold. Not likely to eat here when making future visits to Charlotte which is disappointing, since I love the brand, seek it out often while traveling and have dined at multiple other locations.
Good service once server came but took 10 minutes for anyone to come by. Appetizers just okay but entrees were very good. Would come back but not among our favorites.
The service was excellent, but the quality of the food was not great. I ordered appetizers. The okra was a large serving, but half of it consisted of remnants from the fryer. It was ok, just ok. We noticed the restaurant was not busy in spite of having an happy hour.
casual and nice atmosphere - had never been for dinner before - usually go for brunch which I love more than the dinner
It seemed much more expensive for dinner - $20 plus for shrimp and grits seems a little proud.
Good food, came out fast. Our server was not attentive, rarely checked on us. Ran out of water and coffee. Other servers noticed and helped us. Service was not up to normal standards. Otherwise our score would have been higher.
Have been here previously and the food was delicious but this recent return visit was very disappointing. Food was not good. Prices are way too high for sub par meals. Will not go back.
Waitress kept forgetting items
My guest and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner the food was fresh the service was impeccable the only concern that I have is the portion. The food is delicious but for the money, I have gotten more food of equal quality with larger portions.
We really enjoyed the food. I had the sweet tea roasted chicken, which was very moist and tasted great. I would like to go back sometime to try the breakfast/brunch options.
Server was very good - found the food marginal at best.
Cute place good if you are in town and want a little southern flare. Sweet potato pancakes were wonderful and the grits were heaven. A good place for brunch. Do not get there before they open.
The food was very tasty....when we finally got it. The place was packed, which is normal for a Sunday. Got there 15 minutes ahead of our reservation and was seated almost 40 minutes later? People were walking in and being told 30/40 minutes on the wait list and were seated almost the same time as us. The coffee was served weak and cold. Our entrees took so long that they brought us an order of fried green tomatoes. When the food got there, it was very good. Would we go there again? Yes but never on a Sunday morning.
Love this place for brunch! Make sure to make reservations! You may still have a slight wait though. The food is wonderful and the drinks are wonderful but the service could be better. The bar is always backed up so drinks take forever and sometimes the simple things like napkins, a box or the check take a while. Over all though i come back for more every time! Wonderful spot for any occasion!
The service was great! Didn’t enjoy being by the dish room... cart with dishes came by every 15 mins. The peanut butter pie is normally my favorite at the Asheville location. The one here was prepared differently and the pretzels on top were stale. Breakfast bowl and banana pudding were amazing!
Thought enjoyed our brunch items... can’t go wrong with 3 for $10 or 4 for $12. Friendly staff and great Tupelo margaritas. Definitely will return
We were very hungry when we arrived, so our server put in our order for the okra appetizer quickly. It was delicious. We also ordered the Tupelo Shrimp & Grits and The trout with collard greens and black eyed peas. All were very good. The grits were smooth and creamy and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The trout was tasty and the collard greens were a hit. The black eyed peas had a little spice to them, but were very good. Our server was fun and friendly.
The service was super fast and the food is always delicious. Definitely recommend the chicken and biscuits!
I love this place! The drinks, food, and atmosphere are all wonderful and I always love going for brunch!
So glad we made a reservation. Food was awesome!
Brunch with friends
Always a solid brunch choice!
Our server could not hear us and that caused some "oops" moments. The famous fried chicken was over-cooked. Our favorite menu item (nachos) is no longer available. It took a LONG time to get our drinks because the bartender was overwhelmed.
We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. We were seated promptly.
Honestly, this was one of our favorite restaurants. This visit was not up to par. Will assume it's just an off night.
Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful. Food was good but for the price I thought there would be a bit more love in it.
Tupelo honey is amazing comfort food! The macaroni and cheese is awesome, it gives my moms a run for her money! The greens are so good well seasoned, could be chopped smaller and with out stalks, the chicken was fried PERFECT! The gravy is awesome! The banana pudding was creamy and sweet and with just the amount of cookies I wanted lol and less bananas 😍 we will be back without the queens fest!
1st Restaurant server seemed to be a little tipsy and a bit confused. 2nd Server Amber filled in the best she could. The restaurant floor was untidy. Fun family night. Long winded with service. Dogs at the restaurant with water bowls were too much for me.
We were really looking forward to our evening at Tupelo Honey and it was a total disappointment. If negative stars were an option that would be the rating. The server missed half of our order and barely listened when taking it ; she was looking around at everything but us. She needed to be reminded multiple times to bring water, really, and since when is club soda served without ice? Then there was the attitude of displeasure when being asked for the items that were ordered with the meal. It took 20 minutes to receive a beer from the bar and when a second glass of wine was ordered it was brought in a tiny carafe which had half of the amount of the first glass but we were charged the full price; the waitress was asked three times to correct this, then the passive aggressive eye roll came into play finally our friend received an additional ounce of wine. I ordered trout $21.00, it was dry and over cooked, the grits were stone cold and green beans half cooked. My friend had a tiny hamburger. Plates were never removed; we sat 30 minutes waiting on our check and another 20 after providing our method of payment. The host and hostess were chatting away up front-no backup, followup or teamwork. This evening was a celebration of my 22 year old and Tupelo Honey was chosen as we have been in both Charlotte and Asheville and had a positive experience, we will never return .
Took 30 minutes to get our drinks after they were ordered and food arrived cold. We had a reservation.
Decided to eat heat since timing of our flight didn’t allow us to eat at the Asheville location. I found it over rated. Biscuits were heavy and slightly bitter even for true buttermilk biscuits. The chickens breading was a little over done but overall good. Honestly, I think Tupelo Honey is overrated
Wonderful as always! One of our favorite brunch spots.
Had birthday brunch. Steak and eggs with cheese grits and avocado toast with mimosas was delish
