Great place to eat! I will miss the one on south blvd because it has so much character.
Great restaurant with an amazing menu and reasonably priced.
Delicious experience and truly the southern-brunch-fix that I needed!
Food was great service was a little slow.
Had the Best Birthday Celebration here! Service was awesome!!!
Food was delicious, server could have been a little more present, but good job overall. Definitely going back again
The fans in the joint made us all dizzy because the lights were above it. Food was ok. Service was ok.
Usually one of our favorites restaurants, we were a bit disappointed this time. Portions were quite small and not nearly as tasty as usual: no zip to the grits under the very small in size and only 4 in quantity fried green tomatoes, mashed potatoes were even quite bland, and the portion of fried chicken was one-half of a not-very-large breast! Also, they were "out" of many of the favorite things we wanted to order, i.e. roasted brussel sprouts, and the chips given with the pimiento cheese dip, which also lacked flavor, were truly stale! Step it up Tupelo Honey!
Table area was so crowded waitresses and bus boys kept knocking into our table and chairs. Food was excellent! Atmosphere was eclectic and fun.
We had a terrific waitress. She even gave us a sample of the fried green tomatoes. Great overall atmosphere!
We had to wait almost 20 minutes beyond our reservation time to be seated, despite plenty of open tables. When we were seated, the service was prompt. However, our waitress informed us they were out of several main dishes (meatloaf and pork loin) at 6:30pm on a Saturday. We ordered an appetizer, only to have the waitress come back a few minutes later and tell us she was also out of that. The bottom line is that the food they did have was good, but they just didn't seem to have it all together for a weekend night.
Despite our reservation, we had a 30 minute wait even though we could see many empty tables that had been cleared and reset. We were seated at 7pm and already several of the entries were no longer available. Also, the rooms were cold. About 1/3 of the guests kept their jackets on while they were seated. I overheard someone ask for fans to be turned off but they were told that the temperature was set for the air conditioning to run (despite to 40 degree temps outside). Overall there seemed to be a lack of good organization but the food was tasty.
Booked a reservation and when I arrived they said they were 20 minutes behind on reservation. I waited about 40 minutes after that útil be seated. It was a special occasion and I called to tell them I wanted to set the table up before... because of the 40 minutes extra wait that part was ruined. It look forever for us to get our food and then when the food got there everything was cold. Very disappointed because I normals live this place
This really is a fun place and the food was fresh and quite tasty. The only disappointment we had was that they had run out of 4 different regular menu items that my group of 4 attempted to order. We had relatively early (6:15) reservations on a Saturday evening so it was a bit surprising that so many dishes were no longer available. The good news was that our back up choices did not disappoint. We will likely give it another shot.
This was probably our 5th time at the Charlotte location. Served wine in a filthy glass and was ignored by the waitstaff to fix the problem. Finally had to get up out of me seat and locate the manager. He handled the situation in a satisfactory manner and did not charge us for the wine. Unfortunately bathrooms were also filthy. Has gone downhill since first opened. Unfortunate because food is pretty good though not a good as Asheville location.
Quick brunch date. Food was very good!
I would recommend it - if you aren't ready to eat and have no where to be. We had a reservation so we were seated quickly, but it took us an hour to get our food from the time we placed the order. Our waiter disappeared and we didn't get drink refills for over 30 minutes. My food had ingredients / toppings not mentioned on the menu (wasabi of all things should be mentioned), and my son's food came out 25 minutes before ours did. Definitely make sure you have a reservation if you decide to go or your wait will be even worse. We used to love Tupelo Honey but likely won't be back for quite a while.
Great restaurant with a great food. The prices are reasonable abd the staff are extra friendly.
We had a 845 reservation but was not seated until 9. We waited about 45mins for our food after we provided our orders. We were not told why.
Valentines date. Creative menu
The service was great. We ordered a drink that ended up being WAY to strong. Our waitress took it back and replaced it with a new drink order without hesitation. The chicken was amazing. We loved the Brussels sprouts!
Loved it. We had been to the Myrtle beach location before and wanted to try the Charlotte one. Everything was great! Can’t recommend it highly enough!!
A little loud for lunch with 6 people. Better for a group of 2 or 3 where you could still carry on a conversation
Food was good. Service, however was slow. 45 minutes from order to food arriving. We had theater tickets for a 2:00pm show. So we made reservations for 12:30 believing we would have plenty of time to eat and make it to the show. As it turned out, we had to rush and barely made it before curtain. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. And, once it arrived, the food was good. We’ll go back again, but will allow more of a cushion the next time. Lesson learned: Sunday brunch is quite busy at Tupelo Honey.
The restaurant is very busy. Nice staff and very inviting inside. The food was very good and drinks are very tasty. Lots of seating inside and outside. Great place to go with friends and family to enjoy a good meal. Great location and lots of parking outside and surrounding area. Always busy, make sure you make your reservation ahead and if you want to seat in a particular area; call the restaurant to make sure your desire table is set aside for you.
We loved our server Alicia! ! Best conversation, attention to detail and food suggestions! She made the whole experience better-we had never been to this restaurant before. And, I might add great food. Definitely going back.
Appetizers were good but unfortunately food quality went down from there with most served slightly warm at best. We did receive a discount for the long wait on entrees but would rather have had a good dinner instead.
The hostess was rude, but the food was good and the waitress was very sweet. The service was slow and the kitchen sprinkled scallions on my food although I requested no onions. I was able to pick them off so the meal was fine. Overall it was okay but probably not good enough to hurry back.
Service was incredibly slow!! 6:45 reservation, we had appetizers and dinner (no dessert) and we didn’t leave until after 10pm. Several parties were seated after us and left waaaaayyy before us. After waiting for 40minutes for our appetizers, one was cold. Not sure we will be back
Exceptionally attentive service. Answered all of our questions for a party of 5. Food and appetizers were presented well. Food quality was above average.
Love Tupelo Honey! One of my favorite restaurants. The food and service are always wonderful!
The server was extremely personal. The food was delicious but I’m not understanding why it wasn’t hot or at the very least very warm. The pancakes were returned and replaced and they came back at the same temperature; not warm enough. I also had lunch on New Year’s Day and had the half chicken collards and Mac and cheese. That was also not warm enough. The food stays on the ready line way too long. You need to get the food out much quicker. Maybe you need a two person orchestra not one. Will I return: don’t know.
A group of friends/coworkers were meeting to celebrate the end of a successful project and personal success since.
We were seated in a timely manner and the server came to get our drink orders pretty quickly. He had a great attitude and was helpful with special requests. Everyone was present by the time he brought our drink orders. After getting everyone something to drink he started taking our food orders.
After our food orders were placed he came back 10 mins later to let us know that the Brussel sprouts were out. Anyone who had ordered it as a side he asked them what they would want in place of it. I had ordered them as an appetizer but he didn’t come ask me what I would like in place of them.
Then once he had made the change he came back and told them we were all getting green beans because all other sides except Mac and cheese were also sold out.
My beet salad was delicious!!! However, one person in our party didn’t get his food with the rest of us it took an additional 10 minutes. One person got the wrong order and someone who got the shrimp and grits thought it was too greasy.
Those who got the fried chicken were also very happy.
Not sure if I will be back or not
Their chicken is the best in town!!! It is hands down, some of the tastiest chicken ever. I really enjoyed the blueberry sparkling punch too. Every time I visit, I try something new. I’ve yet to be disappointed!
This was a beautiful setting. Service was good, food was beautiful. Was a great place to get brunch during the week!
It was okay overall. It used to be better in the past. The food wasn’t that great, tasted bland, not flavorful and not fresh. Disappointing for sure. Was hoping for better.
Server was not helpful or knowledgeable about what vegan options were available. Her responses implied that she didn't care to help us find something to eat or drink. Similarly, a hostess immediately refused our request to modify the reservation number, but after we asked more questions, they actually could accommodate the change without an issue. I was able to share feedback with the manager, and he was very receptive and appreciative.
The food was good but waaaaaay overpriced. Spent $23 on the smallest bowl of shrimp and grits I’ve ever seen. Mimosas were also extremely overpriced. The mega size was priced right but the standard size was way too expensive for what you got. I wouldn’t go back.
We made a reservation during a busy Saturday lunch. We were seated in a timely manner. All the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make my sister's bridal brunch truly enjoyable. As always the food was phenomenal!!!! Next time we're in Charlotte, we'll definitely go back!
We only had an hour to eat but didn't feel rush at all! The food came so fast and was DELICIOUS!
