We had a reservation. Were sat by a staff member. Left after 25 minutes without any service.
I've eaten at this restaurant several times before and as usual the food was very good. However I felt the service was rather slow, considering the fact that business was very light!
At around 7 pm on a Monday night, the Tavern was only 30% full. Very quiet. The crab cakes were large and meaty and their Red Ale was excellent.
We made reservations because we knew it would be crowded. However, when we arrived we found that they DO NOT TAKE reservations when there is an event at the Convention Venter. How would we know that? The hostess told us we would have to wait 30 minutes. We waited for over 45 while several tables were left empty. We finally convinced her to just split,us up (party of 5). We sat. And waited another 15 minutes before getting waited on. Our waitress was VERY NICE! However, it took forever for our food to arrive. It was pretty good. All in all, VERY disappointed and will not return. And, don’t post availability on Open Table if you are not going to honor it. We would be better off just knowing ahead of time to go to McDonald’s!!
It was terrible. Hostess was rude, said they didn’t take reservations even though I showed them my booking, people waited 45 minutes to get a drink. We ended up leaving
I came at a very busy time but still thought the service could have been faster.
Food is absolutely delicious. The two ladies at the front desk are my favorites and I will miss them. I did not enjoy my server. But regardless I went back more than once.
The food is ok. Needs a new menu.
Most horrific experience ever... gave tun tavern another chance after having a bad experience two years ago and this visit proved it’s a poorly managed establishment... when there is a convention, SHOULD be prepared for that I had reservations and “by accident” sat a table which manager said was ours but hostess gave it away, 2- took 57 minutes to receive food after which we complained because food was sitting under heat lamps and tasted horrible, 3- waiter overwhelmed and never checked on us or acknowledged our presence forgot our drink orders numerous times and let alone 3 orders of food wasn’t even brought to the table, after this point we were disgusted and failed to even mention to bring it as we asked to be taken off bill, 4- after our failed expectations you think management would step in and apologize for the mess of our experience but yet just said it’s really busy right? NEVER again will I return and I’ll be sure to write a yelp on this as well
One word ... Deliciously awesome and friendly.. 4 words
Did was good, but nothing special. Small plates and overpriced food.
We had a show to go to at 8pm. Got to the Tun Tavern at 6:40. Plenty of time, right? WRONG! From the minute we walked in...hostess was no where to be found for about 10 minutes. Then she didn’t tell the waitress that we were at her table. Another 10 minutes. Then the food took forever due to the kitchen being understaffed. Ended up our food was finally ready, but was sitting waiting and we had to get the manager to bring it over.
There were also about 5 other tables in the same boat. For one guy, it took 45 minutes for him to get his soup!
Bottom line, they didn’t schedule properly based on Fleetwood Mac being in town. Or someone called out.
I understand things happen, but it would have been nice to know up front if there was going to be a wait for the food. It will be a LONG time before we think about going back.
What was long for Salmon sandwich. Bread pudding was a piece of cake. Apple cobbler a la mode very good.
Great place for lunch and dinner. They brew their own beer and it is all amazing.
Awesome time
Food was very good, service was fine. Good value for the money. Good selection of home brewed beer but they also offered bottled and tap domestic/imported beers. Would definitely good back.
90 minute wait for our food, 4 wrong orders, one didn't even make it to the table.
It took over two hours to get a few salads and a sandwich. Our waiter was fun and worked hard but the wait for food was not worth it. It was so dark you could not see anything. We were expecting a manager to stop by but that never happened.
I had to rate this restaurant very low based on 105 MINUTE wait to be served. Our reservation was not during a peak time for dinner. I booked a table on line for 7 people at 9:30pm with guests that we had never had dinner with and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was not packed and we watched the musician play and close down his shift. We ordered 4 SALAD's Ribs and 2 sandwiches... no major entree's The waiter did everything possible to try to make the best of a horrible service delivery. The food did not come out until after 11pm on a 9:30 reservation. We were not even visited by the manager to address concern of the delay. This certainly was not the customer experience that we expected or nor should it be the customer experience that the restaurant wants to stand behind. Very Disappointed.
Good. Slow day so quiet but would recommend to people-so many places to eat
Easily accessible to convention goers and patrons of Sheraton Hotel. Staff friendly and accommodating. Glad we chose a quiet night!
Food was great! We had the crab cakes and the ribs. Music was really loud. We actually wanted the entertainment to take a break. Oh and the ice had “something” black frozen in it, so I requested water with no ice. Given the choice we would not eat here again.
We were in town for a conference. We were not familiar with the area, but the Tun Tavern was near by. We were pleasantly surprised by the service and the food. Our Waitress, Mia, was more than accommodating. We would definitely go back again when in the area. PS - the chocolate bread pudding was worth the trip!
Good sports bar with an excellent team. Turn tavern Was originally in Philadelphia. That’s where the Marine Corps first started recruiting arrange to support the continental navy. That’s a memorabilia and hand crafted beers
We had a reservation for 4:00. We were not seated until 4:25. The hostess bought us our ice tea, forgot about my glass of wine. I had to flag down a waiter to take our order. This was at 4:45. We would have been there a lot longer if I hadn’t done this. Food was good.
Uns hat es gut gefallen, das Restaurant können wir empfehlen
Great food and experience
Not as good as previous experiences years earlier. Food and service was so-so.
Loved the scallops and the crab soup was also delicious.
Food was not very good. Just mediocre. Wouldn't go back.
Tun Tavern was great. Appetizers and soup were tasty. Sandwiches and burgers were also very good. Nice beer selection.
As on my previous visits, both the food and service were very good.
Excellent service by an extremely nice & knowledgable. It was a true pleasure to dine there & I will definitely be returning very soon!!
The atmosphere was great. The food was not good. I had the scallops. They were over cooked, under seasoned, grittier than normal and the foot was still attached. The rice was over cooked and mushy. I did not try anything else. My boyfriend ordered a steak medium rare and it came back medium.
Our server did not charge us for the scallops, but let us sit for a long time after she cleared our table and before bringing the check.
It was great. Our server was amazing.
5 beer flight was amazing!
Our server was excellent!!! Food/drink recommendations! Quick service for refills!
The service was terrible. The meal was super late and one of us waited 15 minutes more!
Our server Alex was awesome! We’ve been to AC twice and we’ve eaten here both times. When we make a 3rd trip, we’ll stop in again.
Cliff the waiter was great. This restaurant is lacking in alot of ways. First we had a reservation and waited at the hostess desk for 10 minutes. I went up to them and asked was I in the right spot. Despite having many open tables was told it would be a while before we could seat. I explained I have a reservation. Then Danielle said Oh. After coming to the hostess desk offered to take us despite there 2 people in front and 6 behind me. After finally getting seated and meeting our awesome waiter. They were truly understaffed for a holiday week and weekend that also had a kids convention and rv convention. Michelle was helping to run the kitchen. She was completely unsanitary. Throwing the papers for the orders on top of the food. I've seen numerous restaurants the ticket goes under the plate. Why would you put dirty ink on food. Dario was helping in the kitchen he was worse than all of them. He licked his fingers while cooking. He picked up chips off the floor. Never washed his hands and kept cooking and plating food. He had no head covering and kept wiping his face while cooking, he ate while playing and repeatedly carried trash and other things never once washing his hands. Gloves are unheard of in this place. After the extensively long wait the crab fries were the only good thing. Parmesan wings you really have no clue what good ones should be. My husband's burger wasnt mediocre. This place has a nice atmosphere but lacks anything that would make us return. Even when seated we didn't know to follow the hostess. The waiters and waitresses were really doing the best they could. I loved Cliff.
