We are regulars at Tulios when we are in Seattle.
The pork shank and Gnocchi continue to be outstanding.
I enjoyed my Risotto; but would prefer not to have as much onion in it.
Also, we prefer the original Pistachio Semi-Freddo with chocolate and candied orange, rather then the new one with only fruit. Still good, though!

Took my girlfriend here as a 3rd stop of a progressive dinner for her birthday. Wait staff was very nice, food was great! Very nice a romantic itialian spot. Not the biggest portions but it was delicious regardless. I got the agnolotti, which is one of the few vegetarian options, and was very good. My girlfriend got the orichiette which she also really liked.

The sweet potato gnocchi is always our favorite appetizer. My clam linguini was absolutely fabulous. We shared a chocolate dessert that was the perfect ending to a perfect evening. Thank you!

We LOVE Tulio! We travel to Seattle once a year for meetings and stay at the Kimpton Hotel Vintage where Tulio is located. The staff is fantastic, remember us from years past, and are courteous, informative as to the cuisine, and superbly attentive. We recommend Tulio to anyone spending time in Seattle.

Great locale for brunch and parking before the Seahawks game or the 5th Ave Theater matinee. Food was good, but not exceptional.

We had planned for a pre-theater lunch at 11:45A, arrived at 11:20A and were quickly accommodated, not knowing Tulio’s served only brunch on weekends. Though we were
all anticipating some great Italian fare, we half heartedly settled for breakfast. The sweet potato gnocchi was very good, the ham side a bit dry, the rustic bread with eggs, ragu & hollandaise and regular breakfast fare were done well, we left feeling full but unfulfilled. I’ve had several really great dinners at Tulio’s and service is always on point. It gets pretty lively when the bar is full but there are times when an intimate meal can be had. Will return another time for dinner.

Visited for my wife’s birthday. Arrived before our reservation, and chose to wait at the bar for a cocktail. Seamless transition to our table when it was ready (early, btw!). She had duck, I had a classic pasta dish - both were wonderful! Great ambiance, great food.

the food was outstanding, but VERY LATE in arriving to our table. The waitress apologized and our entire meal was comped. Though upset about the mix up, we were satisfied that they were quick in stepping up to make amends. We will return. The food is worth a return visit.

We had a romantic dinner at Tulio’s before going to the opera. We came from Tacoma and arrived at 4:50 for a 5:00 reservation. While the staff prepared for the evening, the host himself took our drink orders and brought them to us. Significant selection of wines and beers and unique cocktails.

The head chef really is an artist and our waiter Juan was exceptional : knowledgeable, helpful with choices, and attentive but not intrusion. For example, my husband couldn’t decide between two pasta dishes: one with wild mushrooms and ravioli and the other with linguine and clams. Juan offered to make smaller portions of each dish so he didn’t miss out on either one. The sauces were light, the pasta was a perfectly chewy al dente, not less then five mushroom varieties were used in one dish, and the clams in the other dish were small, meaty, and wonderfully tender.

I ordered 3 1st courses: the tomato bread soup came out with aromas of garlic, onion, fresh tomatoes, and basil while focaccia bread was cooked into the soup as well as placed on top in larger pieces. Heavenly and not greasy! Next, I had a perfect cesear salad (with a half head of lettuce and dressing made with just the right amount of anchovy and lemon which was interspersed between the leafs), plus home-made croutons and white anchovy.

I also had the sweet potato gnocchi that were cooked in brown butter and crispy on the outside (unusual). But the crispness worked nicely with the sweet potato stuffing, and a small dollop of marscarpone cheese. It was a perfect set of firsts!

We concluded the meal with a piece of tiramisu with real soaked ladyfingers, layered with cream and topped with wonderful dark chocolate crumbs and surrounded by a genache of dark chocolate and espresso. It was delicious.

I can’t rave enough about this wonderful foodie find. We’ll be back soon.

Geoff

I have wanted to eat here for years and this was my first opportunity to do so. After hearing so many good things and a few personal recommendations I had very high expectations.
I was not disappointed.
We had one of our best dinners ever after being together for thirty years.
Thank you Tulio!

Out first time at Tulio. Don't know why we waited this long. The food was wonderful (starters of burratta and sweet potato gnocchi, entrees of duck and very flavorful lamb) and the service was excellent, the waiter being watchful of our theatre curtain time but not rushing us. I appreciated that the noise level wasn't bad for a relatively small space. We'll go back. It's great to have another option for dinner pre-show.

After seeing the reviews, I was excited to go to dinner here, but I left unimpressed. My friend and I had a late lunch so we just ordered a few appetizers for dinner, the Caesar salad was bland, the clams were bland, but I was happy with the sweet potato gnocchi. Service was sub par, we had to flag our server down for another glass of wine, he never checked on us after he delivered dinner, then we had to find him again to get the check. I won’t be back.

The dinner was excellent although sitting on 2nd floor in back lacked the desired ambience we were looking for. Been here previously for a business dinner and sat on 1st floor. Had dinner reservation for over a week do expected a better table. Surprise dinner offerings for my wife’s birthday was appreciated. Waiter was outstanding.

We've been going to Tulio's for 24 years. During the past couple of years our view is that the restaurant has not gotten better and may have regressed somewhat. For instance, the bread was a joke; not worth eating since it was plain white bread with no crust. Also no butter was served and no olive oil. Tacky. The lunch salads were skimpy on the avacado and chicken. The portion of soup served was small. Even the amount of lamb served on the dinner plate was below average. Maybe it's time for a serious makeover.
