Since its inception, Tulio has been a regular on restaurant awards lists, thanks in no small part to Chef Walter Pisano, whose cooking is inspired as much by his travels through the Old World as his Italian roots. Tulio’s dishes are simple yet sophisticated, combining rustic Italian preparations with local ingredients to create bold flavors and an unforgettable dining experience. Recognizing that our guests have different tastes and dining preferences, we proudly offer several gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian dishes on each of our daily menus. Waiter was really funny and entertaining. Don’t eat at fancy places much, so I spent a bit extra money for a more fun experience. Got an awesome wine and had a fantastic steak.
Wonderful evening. Celebrated Valentines Day with my beautiful wife and her sister and husband from Eugene. Waitress Stephanie took great care of us and food was incredible. The Branzini didn’t get deboned very well, but it was still tasty.
Wonderful experience! Perfect for a special occasion.
Outstanding in every way!
This is a great place! We had a wonderful meal and good service on a very crowded night. Where we were sitting seemed a little crowded, perhaps because the ceilings are fairly low. My only complaint is the wine is over priced.
The food was so so. My lamb entree had several fatty/gristle pieces out of the handful I got and the romaine heart was tossed too heavily with dressing. My date said the veggie calzone was extremely bland and the size of potatoes were sold as "whipped" but super lumpy and she didn't want them. Service was incredibly slow - it took nearly 20 minutes to get a cocktail from the bar and we were done with entrees and getting to leave before it came out. The server stopped by several times to remind us they hadn't forgotten it.
The drinks were the only high point. The food was bland and forgettable but the cocktails were good (when they showed up). The Suntory Rains was essentially a highball but my date got the Peacock and the non alcoholic hibiscus drink with gin and thumbed up both. Next time we'll go just for the bar and skip the food. For the price the food just isn't worth it.
Thank you for taking the opportunity to reach out and share with me your recent experience. I deeply apologize your food did not live up to Tulio's pride in the freshest and authentic Italian cuisine. I have passed your feedback along to our Executive Chef for immediate follow up. I would love to invite you back to show you what Tulio is all about. Looking forward to hearing from you! Saluti, Sarah Sparks Sarah.Sparks@tuliodotcom 206.428.2480
The food was good, not great. Portions were small. Service was prompt, maybe too prompt, it felt like the server was trying to turn her table. Bread was good and the pasta was handmade, both pluses for sure, but I wouldn’t return. There are too many very good restaurants to eat at for the same price point.

Wow Our server was over the top awesome! We we loved our food!
The food was outstanding, some of the best I've had in Seattle. The star of the show was the sweet potato gnocchi! OMG - delicious doesn't do them justice. Each of the 5 of us had a different main and all were outstanding (I know I'm repeating myself, but really it was all outstanding!). Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Seattle to try their menu again.
The food was okay, nothing spectacular at all. Went for the ambiance and it was nice!
Super nice people
If you are looking for a quiet meal, go for lunch, not dinner. The food and service are excellent.
Service was wonderful! Our server was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. He was attentive without being obtrusive. It was a lovely overall dining experience and the food was incredible. The seafood was so fresh and abundant in our dishes.
Highly recommend it!
When we come to Seattle Tulio is our go to place. Food is always on point and the staff are wonderful.
Everything at this authentic Italian restaurant is wonderful. We had the gnocchi which I highly recommend. It’s the best gnocchi anywhere, crispy on the outside and fluffy. Next up was the squid ink pasta with pork belly. Incredible. Then the main course a juicy tender pork shank with perfect whipped potatoes and greens. All was absolutely delicious. My only disappointment was I didn’t have room for dessert... maybe next time.
Enjoyed our dinner very much. The specialty cocktails were delicious and interesting. Service was spot on.
I booked the place at least two weeks prior to the event (birthday) and I absolutely regretted it. Never recommend it to anyone and will never ever go back there even if they serve food for free

Came for lunch with colleagues. To our surprise the restaurant was very loud with other patrons, it was difficult for our group to speak to each other. Food was great and service was also good and it was very busy. Will definitely return.
Nice Saturday night family dinner.
Definitely very noisy. It’s difficult to have a conversation without speaking loud enough so it’s heard by many. The table spacing is also a little tight.
Had guests in from out of town. Both commented that their dinners were the best they’ve ever had of their respective types of food. One had pasta the other a duck dish.
I'm not usually one for dining at restaurants in a hotel, but this was a welcome surprise! We had linguini with clams (there must have been 40 clams on the dish!) and the ribeye (very well prepared and tender). Drinks were good, though they didn't have a large wine selection outside of WA/OR wines. Our server Catherine was great as well - very attentive and helpful.
Tulio never disappoints. The food is comforting, the service is excellent, and the ambience is restful.
Great service and food. My second time to Tulio and I will go back.
Loved the atmosphere. Very cozy and lively. Everything was delicious, especially the ravioli and mussels. Will be back to try lunch with the wood fired pizzas.
Excellent service changed my mood from very upset to very happy in a short amount of time:) food and ambiance awesome as well.
We hadn’t been to Tulio since around the year it opened so it was fun to revisit it almost three decades later. We were pleasantly surprised by how great it was and we’ll be back soon.
All the food was delicious, including the mussels and the lamb sirloin. Good cocktails and excellent wines by the glass. The place was packed on a Friday night, had a great cozy vibe, and was loud but not too loud.
We had not been here for awhile....it used to be a go to restaurant. The menu is very different but the food remains consistently good. we were off put by our server trying to up-sale us on the wine when we wanted to have an honest discussion about wine options. He was not very knowledgeable/accurate w/ his comments about choices & definitely all of his recommendations were more expensive then the (generous) price we said we wanted to spend. We won’t be back for a bit.
We took our daughter for her birthday. Terrific food and Ricardo provided great service!
Tulio is a great restaurant. I had a business event planned at this restaurant and everything was well organized.
We were asked if we wanted to try some Gnocci, that was fantastic but it turned up on my receipt as a charge?
Kind of weird,
Sean, our waiter, was absolutely amazing. 2 members of our party were under the weather, and he took such wonderful care of us. We’ve been coming to Tulio’s to celebrate the holidays for over 20 years, and Sean made this one of the absolute best experiences we’ve ever had. We hope to dine at Tulio’s again to see Sean again soon!
The duck is excellent!
Although nice, the Waitress was a bit hyper so we felt rushed. I wanted a booth for the four of us but they wouldn’t accommodate, so had to sit next to the service bar. We haven’t been for awhile and was disappointed with the ambiance. It’s more of a casual restaurant now. Maybe white table cloths would help. Food and drinks were very good!
We visited on her 37th wedding anniversary, Tulio has always been one of our favorites. They outdid themselves on 30 December. From cocktails, to wine, to salads, to entrees, and desserts, everything was spot on. Well done Tulio‘s!
We've eaten here before and it was great, this time no so much. We were there for our 25th anniversary and it was noted in our reservation. Everyone except our waiter, Guillermo, wished us a happy anniversary. After we were seated for a while, he brought us water, then left. He walked by us several times before I flagged him down to order something to drink. I asked for a glass of prosecco and he promptly said that I should order the $19 a glass one instead of the $13 as it was much better. Talk about up sale! I declined. Then after my husband I toasted, he overheard and said, "Oh, I forgot, we'll buy you a glass for your anniversary". Well, then why not give me the more expensive wine? Too late. Then he left again. We flagged him down for a second time and asked about ordering. We had decided to share the appetizer of "asparagus wrapped in prosciutto with a poached duck egg" as we wanted to save room for the delicious meal ahead of us. We had not ordered our entrees nor received bread yet, when our appetizer arrived. The a white asparagus wrapped in soggy prosciutto with a very small "duck" egg was very bland. We hoped for better when we could finally order our main, which took another flagging down of our waiter. We had to ask for bread three times. I asked our waiter what size the chicken was and he said "Oh, it's a full bone-in breast"...imagine my disappointment when it was a small airline chicken breast, the kind you get at a conference dinner. My chicken was dry, and tasteless, the "risotto" was made with long grain rice in a thin sauce, our $7 cauliflower side dish was just a few pieces of burnt veggie. My husband had the pork shank, which was actually quite good. Finally, we ordered dessert (I was still very hungry); the pistachio semifreddo was excellent as before, but the new chocolate dessert was too sweet. Just as our desserts were delivered, Guillermo put our bill on the table. Seemed a bit rude. Overall, it was not a good experience.
Went for brunch before a show. Food was mediocre service was very slow! Wouldn’t go back. I hear dinner is good. Food took a long time. Bread was burnt and my friends food was cold. Nothing great for the price.
Tulio is a lovely spot. They were able to accommodate a party of 12 with short notice. Also were very kind and considerate of the needs of our two demanding toddlers (more toast! More milk! Etc)! Would be nice to have a few more gluten free options but the addition of almond milk was nice for us. A basic breakfast menu but every thing was tasty, and service was prompt. Would definitely recommend.
Been a decades old customer!
