Since its inception, Tulio has been a regular on restaurant awards lists, thanks in no small part to Chef Walter Pisano, whose cooking is inspired as much by his travels through the Old World as his Italian roots. Tulio’s dishes are simple yet sophisticated, combining rustic Italian preparations with local ingredients to create bold flavors and an unforgettable dining experience. Recognizing that our guests have different tastes and dining preferences, we proudly offer several gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian dishes on each of our daily menus. If you have any food allergies or other special requests, please let us know.

Once again I had reason to have a luncheon downtown. There are many great choices, but I keep going back to Tulio because the food is interesting and always done well. We were just two and both had a nice glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to go with pizza do the day and my favorite pasta dish the agnolotti with sausage. Yes, I am in a rut because I have had the same main dish each of the last three visits, but it is just amazing and pasta was cooked perfectly. My guess had a white pizza and she raved about how good it was. We shared a salad because I knew the portions would be sufficient two as a starter. I will return, likely soon, and likely have the same main again.
The sweet potato gnocchi is a MUST! The food was great and we were seated right away. It took a while for us to get the waiter’s attention but overall, it was a great experience! We definitely plan on going back.
Great food, attentive waiter. Very noisy. Fairly expensive but you get what you pay for!
Wonderful food, as always
We have been going to Tulio for many years. My wife loves the roasted chicken. She orders it every time. Our first drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive. The rest of the service had just the right amount of attentiveness. Food was outstanding as usual. I had the pork shank. Fall off the bone goodness. When we arrived just after 5:00 the place was pretty quiet. Not too many people yet. About the time we ordered dessert, a large group of businessmen sat down very close to our booth. That got loud. So we were definitely ready to leave after dessert. Very good overall. We will definitely be back.
Another lunch, another wonderful experience. Tulio is a favorite; a friend and I enjoy the food, the service and the ambience 6-8 times a year. Our last lunch didn't disappoint. The burrata that my friend had was inspired--who would think to replace tomato with little watermelon chunks for an alternative "caprese." That was rhetorical because Tulio would! I was jealous. But my risotto--delightful Arborio, of course, but also corn!--made up for it. Not only was it exceptionally tasty, it was a gorgeous, creamy yellow color. Will we back again the next time we get together? You bet!
Though Tulio has a good atmosphere and good wait staff, their menu is limited, seemingly unchanging and almost exclusively catered to meat eaters. Truly creative chefs can also provide tasty choices to vegetarians and vegans.
Very friendly staff, Great food. Cool old school ambiance!!!
We celebrated our anniversary at Tulio's this last weekend. The food was excellent but the service was subpar. For a $200 dinner for two I would expect higher level of service than what I'd receive at Olive Garden. It took over 10 minutes each time for our waiter to bring our drinks when the restaurant had less than 20 patrons. They had the doors open which would have been nice if the restaurant was not located on a busy street. We spent our evening listening to the sounds of horns honking and homeless people yelling. The food was excellent so I'd still give our night a 3 out of 5 stars but would probably only return for a lunch and not for a high end dinning experience.
Our waiter should have advised us the chicken entree would take 30-40 minutes to cook, very long wait for that entree and the other two entrees to arrive.
After he delivered our check, the waiter disappeared with our credit cards. After waiting 10 minutes we decided to ask another server to locate our cards so we could depart. I mentioned this to the host on our way out, he explained it was the first day for a new transaction/credit card payment system and things were backed up. Again, a brief explanation would have been courteous.
Gnocchis is a must - it was so good! It is not inexpensive - but the food was wonderful.
Super sad with this visit. Usually SO good! this visit, not so much
Had a lovely lunch outside. They were very welcoming of our dog.
Lovely quiet Restaurant with outdoor seating. The wait staff was very attentive.
Great service, food was above average, but menu seemed a little limited. Older and darker style to restaurant, similar to a classic steak house.
This was out 2nd visit. Great food, strong service, and a nice selection of the menu. Prices are reasonable for food and service.
We were with friends visiting Seattle before flying to Vancouver and embarking on an Alaskan cruise. We decided that tulio would be a good Italian restaurant since it was close to our hotel. But we were thrilled with our choice, Tulio was great!! Delicious food and the chef even made me risotto without butter or cheese! I highly recommend it!
Have to agree with other reviews...we were warmly greeted upon arrival and service remained attentive throughout...menu is limited but food ranged from good to very good to exceptional-all beautifully presented...the real standout was the mashed potatoes...we ordered more...definitely an enjoyable overall experience and would go back!
Tulio’s has consistently been perfect from their delicious cuisine to their well staffed, professional and kind staff.
I, without a doubt, recommend Tulio’s for a fabulous Evening out!
They fed meat to an Indian Jain, despite being reminded repeatedly that the person was vegetarian. Someone who’s been a lifelong vegetarian. And they really didn’t seem to care so much about it after it happened. “Oh well” was the attitude. They did comp the bill, but I would have preferred not raking my wife home in tears.
Great ambiance. Bartender John was excellent. Good service, professional and friendly. Food was very good, although menu is limited. Our waiter Juan clearly did not want to be there. He was cold and service was not good.
What a wonderful night! The food came quickly but we didn’t feel rushed. I’m so impressed with the service and food. I can’t wait to go back!
Way too noisy. I could not have a conversation with my guests.
Love the food. Very authentic Italian. Atmosphere is spot on!
Overall, it was good. However, the dinner for 5 came to almost 500. I am not sure if its worth is there vs value.
Glad that we went back there. It’s been awhile.
Service was slow. But because we were later for lunch the waiter then rushed us and asked if we would pay before we were finished so he could cash out.
Celebrated my GF birthday with dinner, the staff was super tentative and really helped make her meal extra special. Will definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to friends and family
We waited almost 10 minutes just to be greeted at the door. Then the service continued to be poor from there. Booths are extremely cramped and uncomfortable. Homemade cinnamon roll was stale. I would not return. Perhaps the 4 star rating came from dinner but our breakfast experience was one star at best.
Quiet, elegant setting. Excellent staff. Large portions beautifully prepared. Valet parking was a bargain. Outstanding value.
Went there for a special dinner. It’s one of our favorite restaurants.
The staff was helpful and accommodating. I ordered the duckling and it tasted a bit bland.
The dots of sauce would have added to the flavor but there was enough for the portion of meat that was served.
The service was excellent, and both the food and drinks were amazing.
Tradition-We go there every time we are in Seattle. We were to visit old friends. We did it in honor of my husband, Ron, who passed away a year ago. He loved the sweet potato gnocchi ❤️
The staff was incredibly friendly. We arrived a little early and were still taken immediately to our reserved table. Food was prepared beyond all expectations. Both my wife and I were very impressed with everything the night included.
A great place to have a business lunch food is always top notch .
The staff treated us wonderfully. We just loved having Ricardo as our waiter. He made our anniversary very special. The restaurant presented me with roses and gave us a beautiful desert. They went out of their way to help us acknowledge our special day. This was all very, very impressive
To be honest, I didn’t care for the service, but the food- Amazing!! The hostess seemed a bit annoyed that we spoke more to her than the required information of how many and last name and our server was equally less than enthused to carry any kind of conversation outside of the business of ordering food with us, but food made up for it-kinda. So if you’re not all that interested in the people who are attending you and don’t care to interact with them outside the necessary, this place is for you! However, if you’re like my family and prefer a little more personal conversation and/or like to joke a little eg when they ask was it good and your plate is empty and you respond with it how bad it was and they look at you in an almost condescending/unamused face, this is not the place for you. As for food though, amazing and you will not be disappointed!
