Great food, great service, great location. Enjoyed it very much.
Great place! Food was good. Cozy and quiet atmosphere.
I was celebrating an anniversary and specifically asked for an intimate table. Upon arrival we were extremely displeased to have a disrespectful waitress who didn’t greet us before asking “anything besides water”. Not only this but we were seated by the kitchen which was loud and crowded. She continued to give terrible service and we left like we wasted our money. If it wasn’t for the great food we would have left before ordering.
We enjoyed our dinner very much. Our only complaint was the cost of wine bu the glass my husband and I like different wines me Chardonnay him cab and $20 a glass was over the top for us. Other than that everything was perfect
Cozy-ambiance with delicious food. The pork shank was amazing b as was the Halibut and the duck. We also had the ribeye on another occasion. Great wine list and dessert menu as well.
Excellent all around! Bravo!!
This is a nice little restaurant that doesn't feel like it's forcefully stitched onto a hotel. My girlfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and liked the ambiance and entrees. My only suggestions are that the bread should be warm (already really good bread) and the anchovy salad game was weak. We liked the anchovy but the salad dressing was a little off-putting and the variety within lacked creativity.
Overall, I would recommend to a friend and return when friends are in town.
Awesome! Our server was fantastic- Juan - made the evening!!!
Tulio was suggested by a Seattle colleague who is a devoted “foodie” and it lived up to it’s reputation. The clubby atmosphere felt like a throwback speakeasy, but the food was contemporary Italian influenced. The starters, Alforno and Sicilian mussels were superb and perfectly prepared. Mains were equally inviting, the roasted chicken with lemon risotto was succulent and highlighted by the lemony risotto. My wife enjoyed the halibut with lentils as well, and both dishes were accompanied by great wine selections. Lastly, the homemade dulche de leche ice cream was a delicious finish to a terrific meal. Highly recommended for a special dinner, or occasion.
Me and my husband come here for special occasions. The customer service is unparalleled, and the food is excellent. We enjoy ourselves every time!
We'd been introduced to Tulio by our daughter over the years. We're from out of town and brought friends we were traveling with. As usual the setting is great, we were seated within a minute of arriving for our 7:30 PM reservation, noise level took some getting accustomed to. Wine and food a bit pricey but excellent. Will always recommend.
Tulio never disappoints. This time we had lamb and clam-fettucine, both of which were excellent. It is a very cozy restaurant, so we like the ambiance best during fall-to-spring, especially on those "rare" gray days in Seattle. But the food is wonderful anytime. The last time we dined at Tulio, an ex-governor of Washington was with family at the table next to us, so it is obviously a destination restaurant for locals, in spite of being in a hotel.
I had been to Tulio before and it was good. Unfortunately, my experience on this visit was below par. The service was slow and the server was inattentive. The food was blah. I will not go back.
Great drinks. Great servers. Exactly what we wanted for a large party
Amazing and delicious.
Bad! Bad! Bad!
Bread was bland, my chicken was way over cooked
Wait staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. Great atmosphere for an intimate dinner with someone special.
Very pleased we discovered Tulio for one of our dinners during a 5 day visit to Seattle. Wonderful evening. Waiter was fantastic! My linguine w/ clams was too spicy for me (red pepper flakes in abundance) and they remade entire entree for me. That was very much appreciated and revealed quality of restaurant. Would definitely recommend and return!!
Limited menu. Pasta dish had so much red flake pepper you could not taste anything but the pepper. Bread not that interesting.
Best Pork Shank!!!
The trout and prosciutto wrapped asparagus both delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. The noise level high but great human noise not some discordant sound track. I eat here often because I like it. Happy hour also fun.
This was my fourth or fifth time to Tulio. As usual, everything was amazing. I'm smitten with the orecchiette with a sauce with homemade sausage in it. It is insanely good!! I've eaten in both the bar and restaurant, and both are really enjoyable. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have the Pinot Noir that we'd picked out, but the waiter suggested an alternative in the same price range that we enjoyed anyway. It is a nice place for a special dinner.
We love Tulio. It's ou go-to for a special occasion. It's a little pricey for a regular night out. Our server was amazing and we were treated like royalty. The food was amazing. We had the sweet potato gnocchi and asparagus for starters. Then we moved to the halibut and the pork shank. Both delicious. We'll be back!
Pretty pricey. We popped in since close to the YWCA at Seneca where we had a tour. Wine was so expensive we avoided it.
Food was excellent, but with only an entree and a beer we ended up paying $100.
Have been to the restaurant several times and had great service. On this visit, the service was slower than usual. Might have been short staffed or something? Otherwise the experience was good.
Always great. Service stellar, food cooked perfect, fresh and delicious. Attitude of all the staff we came in contact with enhanced th experience. We’ll be back, we always come back!
Always lovely, excellent service, superb dining experience. Thank you!
Menu seems simple & even perhaps uninspired but with each dish we were pleasantly surprised with excellent to outstanding dishes. Small restaurant with a comfortable ambiance.
I really appreciated that your host took the time to look for my credit card and had it ready for pickup. Relief!!
Nice ambiance and not terribly noisy even during a busy lunch hour. The food was uneven: gnocchi appetizer was heavenly, linguini with clams entree was overly spicy and not very flavorful otherwise. Service was good.
Once again I had reason to have a luncheon downtown. There are many great choices, but I keep going back to Tulio because the food is interesting and always done well. We were just two and both had a nice glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to go with pizza do the day and my favorite pasta dish the agnolotti with sausage. Yes, I am in a rut because I have had the same main dish each of the last three visits, but it is just amazing and pasta was cooked perfectly. My guess had a white pizza and she raved about how good it was. We shared a salad because I knew the portions would be sufficient two as a starter. I will return, likely soon, and likely have the same main again.
The sweet potato gnocchi is a MUST! The food was great and we were seated right away. It took a while for us to get the waiter’s attention but overall, it was a great experience! We definitely plan on going back.
Great food, attentive waiter. Very noisy. Fairly expensive but you get what you pay for!
Wonderful food, as always
We have been going to Tulio for many years. My wife loves the roasted chicken. She orders it every time. Our first drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive. The rest of the service had just the right amount of attentiveness. Food was outstanding as usual. I had the pork shank. Fall off the bone goodness. When we arrived just after 5:00 the place was pretty quiet. Not too many people yet. About the time we ordered dessert, a large group of businessmen sat down very close to our booth. That got loud. So we were definitely ready to leave after dessert. Very good overall. We will definitely be back.
Another lunch, another wonderful experience. Tulio is a favorite; a friend and I enjoy the food, the service and the ambience 6-8 times a year. Our last lunch didn't disappoint. The burrata that my friend had was inspired--who would think to replace tomato with little watermelon chunks for an alternative "caprese." That was rhetorical because Tulio would! I was jealous. But my risotto--delightful Arborio, of course, but also corn!--made up for it. Not only was it exceptionally tasty, it was a gorgeous, creamy yellow color. Will we back again the next time we get together? You bet!
Though Tulio has a good atmosphere and good wait staff, their menu is limited, seemingly unchanging and almost exclusively catered to meat eaters. Truly creative chefs can also provide tasty choices to vegetarians and vegans.
