Osteria Tulia Ratings and Reviews
We always enjoy Tulia. Unfortunately it was chilly so we ate inside which tends to be noisier.
Our dinners were very good. All were pleased. Our only complaint was the bread was so hard. We requested another basket which was provided with apologies. Our waitress was great.
Anna the manager and her staff greet you warmly as you enter. They do a great job and hope the new management does not take away some of the homey/friendly feel to the place. Anna is very kind, a real pro as we were not aware the rules had changed around corking fees when you bring your own bottle and buy another from m the restaurant and she could not have handled better.
This was a special anniversary and I made the reservation with that stated. Not because I wanted dessert or a free dessert, I had hoped that at least maybe they would’ve done something special for us.
Since it was a special night I was kind of hoping for something a little special from the restaurant.
Being one of my favorite restaurants in Naples, I have to say that this evening I felt like we were being rushed out. They began to clear some of the peoples plates before everyone was finished eating. Mind being one of them is I was the last one to finish my delicious Seabass.
It’s still one of my favorite restaurants and I will still go back because I love their food. However, I was a little disappointed being that this was a special special night with our friends
As a local, our family has about 5-7 places that we frequent and Tulia is at the top of our list. (The French being a close second!). Any seat in the house is a good seat and while I could layer on accolades about their craft cocktails, amazing menu and excellent service, all I would like to say is that when you dine here, either with friends or your family or on business, you can expect the most amazing service from the most attentive staff while having a meal that was prepared from the heart with the finest ingredients.
A gem among many good restaurants in Old Naples. Fresh home made pasta with wonderful sauces. The creative cocktails are delicious as well. Tulia is great value for the high quality of the food, a pizza menu as well, though I didn’t try one, looked tasty. I was too full to try the desert so can’t report. The bread with healthy order of superb caponata for starters was a bonus. Highly recommended. Regards. Ned.
Tulia is reliably good. We celebrated a birthday this time. Shared a few pizzas to start, each very tasty with interesting and fresh toppings. All of the entrees also satisfied, from a truly superb pork chop to branzino to a couple of different pasta dishes. Not a single misstep.
A truly unique experience for me! Order the pig ears appetizer, you will NOT be disappointed! Not what I expected at all but was pleasantly surprised! I also enjoyed the white truffles on bucatini pasta. The bread with eggplant caponata that they bring you is also amazing. My husband had the chicken liver app and the pan roasted salmon which he enjoyed immensely. Hands down one of the best meals we’ve had in Naples, the service was outstanding as well, everyone that we interacted with was very friendly and professional. No wonder they win so many awards! We will be back!
We enjoyed our evening on the patio, wine and people watching. I ordered the garganelli with lamb sugo (ragu)—it was delicious and not too pricey at $21. My date ordered the tenderloin speidini—it was awful at $42. Too pricey, too tough, and too dry! We don’t mind spending a little more for a nice dinner, but the speidini was not good at all. Luckily there was olive oil on the table to give the dish some flavor and moisture.
Overall, this is a decent restaurant with a varied menu that changes constantly—so don’t count on picking an entree beforehand as the menu has probably changed.
Go for pasta, atmosphere, and wine, and skip the high priced entrees.
Had heard so much about this restaurant. We thought it was Italian but it was not authentic Italian. Service was excellent and our waiter was lovely Caponata divine but most dishes were very rich. Not much for vegans. Even the salad was rich and $16 for a small beet salad was a little excessive.
We enjoyed the ambiance. Might go back there but would not rush!
