Very busy night but decent service, food was excellent
I would recommend but I’d tell them expect mediocre service. We were there for two hours and I was only drinking water, I had to flag down the waiter to get a second glass full. My sons appetizer came out so late that everyone else had finished their appetizer and was being served their entree. Then his entree didn’t show until we were finished our meal. We were a party of seven. The decor was great and the food was delicious. The waiter was inattentive.
Tucker’s I feel used to be a very special and fun restaurant with great food. Unfortunately, our family experience was underwhelming. The apps were great, but the entrees were disappointing. The service was scattered at best. I don’t want to be overly harsh, but we just had an all around poor experience
For the first time we were disappointed. Pasta was extremely oily, crab cakes and sweet potato fries were cold and the Tito’s on tap mojito was basically all simple syrup. We usually have a nice experience here but this seemed to be an “off” night. We brought friends for the first time and had to apologize. Views from outside deck are great but food was sub par this time, unfortunately.
The staff was so friendly. Great atmosphere and delicious food. Perfect for a family dinner. We will definitely be back!
Service was excellent. Menu interesting but food was disappointing, especially for being on the pricier side for LBI. Hard to find crab in the barely warm "jumbo lump crab cakes"
We had a great dinner at Tuckers. We were a bit late b/c my mother is handicapped. We called and they could not have been nicer. When we arrived they found a table that worked with her wheelchair. The food was delicious & the waitress was awesome. She was very accommodating and knowledgeable. I would very much recommend this restaurant.
Went to Tucker’s with my mom who is handicapped. The staff were all kind, patient and attentive. The food was great as was the service.
Our server Olivia P was fabulous!!
Great decor and delicious food
Very noisy though it's to be expected for a Saturday night in July
Food was very good and service outstanding. Love that they take reservations now. First time back in a long time and remember the days you had to wait for over an hour to get a table.
Great food. Generous pours. Very good service.
Food was average. Bit pricey. Service was excellent.
Went out for a birthday dinner. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was really delicious - the swordfish special was particular good.
Great dining experience! Can’t wait to go back.
Rose our server was amazing!!
Had a great dinner, service was excellent, waitress went over board to make our experience pleasent..
A fun beach restaurant. Sit upstairs and order from the bar food menu and watch the sunset.
The service was exceptional. Great wine by the glass selection. Food was good and not good.
Flounder Francaise was exceptional. Very fresh local fillet and cooked to perfection. Local scallop special was fresh and good, although not exceptionally tasty. The big disappointment was the crab cake entree that the waiter insisted was a bestseller. At his recommendation, we ordered those over the fish and chips. The crab cakes were mostly breading and served with soggy sweet potato fries. At $34, a lose lose. One of our party ordered a burger which was great. If we went back, however, we would order the flounder all the way around and skip the scallops and crab cakes!
Consistently good food and service.
We have always found Tuckers to be an excellent choice for dinner, drinks or both. The addition of the new roof top bar just raises the bar so much. We loved, loved the atmosphere up there and truly enjoyed the buoy bar menu. Id say the roof top bar is a must to visit for anyone on the Island
Great place to hang at in the summer for cocktails or dinner. We love the new rooftop deck. The chicken wings are probably the best on the island. Lot's of great staff - a fun place with great food.
Slow service !
Women’s bathroom had no toilet paper, hand towels, and trash on the floor. Disgusting.
We also had a specific time reserved for seating, but the hostess made us wait for 20 minutes before seating as “someone took our table.” I would understand if we were late or they were extremely busy, but neither were true.
We enjoyed a great meal thanks to the friendly and accomodating staff at the front door and our great waiter Zach. Not only did he provide some good recommendations, he was friendly, attentive and patient with our indecisiveness. We've been coming to LBI for 25 years and for some reason never made our way to Tuckers. It will now be one of our regularly visited restaurants at our home away from home.
Amazing seating, energetic vibe, good food and Michael our waiter was the Best !!! Will def be back !!
Very expensive and food quality is extremely poor. Ordered a $40+ halibut special that was beyond dry. The rest of my party did not care for their meals whatsoever. Won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend.
Pleasant, good food, for everyday eating.
Great! Delicious food and great service.
We took a group of 8 to Tucker's Tavern. We had made a reservation and we seated as soon as we arrived. The service was excellent and all the food was outstanding. The ambiance was nice and pleasant.
Underwhelming experience ... it’s dark inside and our service was poor. Don’t think we’ll return.
We enjoyed an excellent dinner on the porch at Tucker's. All of our meals were very good, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The prices are a bit high, but consistent with other LBI restaurants of similar quality. I would definitely go back.
Our waiter Paul was great. It was everything else. The kitchen was super slow. Took about 35 to 45 minutes to get our brunch. Paul told us he had to stand in the kitchen to make sure they were working on the food. And we were practically the only customers there.
Someone was power washing the outside steps while we were out on their deck.
I love Tucker’s and actually worked there when the restaurant first opened but this was not a good experience. Shame.
Very noisy. Difficult to even talk with one another. There were some large parties, so maybe that contribute to the noise level in the room were in.
Food was good, Kobe hot dog is a great choice
Arrived early for a reservation just at the start of dinner service and were seated immediately. Staff was super friendly and receptive. My fiance has Celiac and needs items that are gluten free. Rose our waitress was very accommodating and went above and beyond what was required to make sure my fiance was taken care of properly and with care since food allergies are serious and most of the time hard to find food that is available. Tuckers food was amazing too and we definitely will be back next visit! Thanks again!
After eating many meals at Tuckers over the last 27 years, I am sorry to say we won't be coming back. Menu was extremely limited and overall the food was terrible. Not one of us enjoyed our meal. I even bought a gift card to give to someone and ended up keeping it because I would be to embarrassed to give it. Don't know what happened at your restaurant but over paying for poor quality is not something I want to continue in the future. Hope this review helps you take a closer look at what you're serving.
The food was what you would expect from a Tavern, all good but definitely not high quality food. Service wasn’t great, but ambiance was fantastic. Especially being here before the renovation, it really looks great now!
Flies in the restaurant were bad
was great last two years. this time food was slow-coming; crab cakes were hardly room temp; fries cool.
pretty disappointing this time. could use more adult supervision.
My friends and I enjoyed our meals, but I thought the prices were a bit on the steep side. All the LBI restaurants are pricey, but most places have a few more entree options for less than $29. That said, I would probably return because of the location, ambiance, and food.
