Tucci's Ratings and Reviews
Fabulous bread as appetizer. We sat near the door which ended up not being as cold as we expected. It was amazingly busy for a Wednesday evening, but that added to the ambiance. We were able to discuss a book and hear just fine in the dining room. The service was a little slow, but very friendly. It was an enjoyable 2 hour meal.
Had the scallop and squid ink pasta special. It was good however it came out luke warm. Waitress was pretty much nonexistent and not very friendly. She seemed pretty annoyed to be working. Disappointing considering usually having much better service when eating there.
We had a lovely lunch at tuccis! Whether it is lunch or dinner or even late night drinks and dessert, tuccis Service, ambiance and food is both wowing and comforting. We enjoyed the chefs special pita—fresh, rich sea bass on an open face pita topped with delectable additions and the ahi tuna stack (hands down some of the best tuna in the city). Bartenders Sierra and James will mix fantastic brunch cocktails and the perfect glass of wine from their enoline system. The waitstaff will only enhance your dining experience with personalized and dedicated service by favorites such as Patrick and Mike and so many others. Tuccis is a personal favorite of our entire family from our two year old who loves their mini muffins and friendly staff to our 11 year old who claims the chicken fingers are simply the best in the city to my 98 year old Italian grandmother who can find no fault with their pasta dishes. Not to mention that my husband and I find chef toms fish specials so innovative and delicious we seek them out weekly. This review would be incomplete without a mention to the management—rob, David and arianna, who go above and beyond any management team to ensure everyone’s dining experience is a special occasion, whether it be an anniversary, birthday or simply brunch out with the family. Tuccis is a restaurant not to be missed!
You simply can’t go wrong with Tucci’s! We had a table of 3 couples (totaling 6 if you nee the math :-)) and had a great time! All good was so so so good and we had cocktails and wine amthroughout that were great! Our waitress was knowledgeable and we even got the “wine guy” out helping us pick! Super fun! A little pricey but you truly do get what you pay for!!!
Been here many times before and was amazing however tonight was different. For $95 dollars a person the food was horrible to say the least. The steak was burnt on the outside and rather than enjoying the taste your jaw hurt from attempting to chew it long enough to swallow. And the desserts were bland. Both cakes were still frozen from being removed from their carton which I assumed they recently purchased from Walmart. Overall the meal was worth 50 out the door. Right now their only saving grace is every other time the food was amazing. Just disappointed to say the least especially on a holiday night out.
I had spoken to them twice regarding this being a birthday dinner and asked to have champagne at the table. Also reminded the hostess as I was being seated. It never came. We ended up ordering drinks which was fine but took away from the experience I wanted. Plus no mention of the birthdays. Disappointing. Food was fine. Enough for me to come back???? Doubtful. At least not for a special occasion.
Went to this restaurant on a date and had the salmon. Later that night, became violently ill, which lasted thru the night and lingered into the next day. Called to complain, but got nothing but an apology and was told the feedback would be passed on to the chef. Not even an offer of a comped meal. Very disappointed, and will certainly not return or recommend this place to anyone.
I dine at Tucci's regularly and have never had a bad meal or less than stellar service. It is my favorite restaurant in Dublin.
However, on Christmas Eve our server - who I had never had before - was inattentive at best. Our greeting was untimely and we sat with dinner plates in front of us for more than 15 minutes, not allowing time to even consider dessert. 100 minute experience for only soup/salad and entree plus he then took even longer to bring our final bill. The only other note is that other servers passed our table multiple times and any one of them could have taken the opportunity to clear our plates.
Big miss for my family on a special occasion, but of course I will be back. Just will be sure to never have that same server for certain.
We were very early for ur reservation Christmas eve, so decided to have dinner at the bar. Th meal was truly wonderful. The Cosmo I had was top notch, and our wine we chose with dinner was very special and VERY reasonably priced! Love this place. We go every chance we get.
We went to Tucci's for Christmas Eve and it was a wonderful choice. The ambiance was great. It was beautiful walking in past the fire lit torches through the snow as we walked into the restaurant. We thought the wine and our meal were delicious. We would consider for a holiday again.
This restaurant has very good food and the service was top notch. The only complaint I have is the set up of the restaurant. It is very narrrow and long. Reminds me of a three lane bowling alley in width and length.
Due to this configuration, all of the foot traffic in and out has to pass your table. Plus, the bar is fairly sizable and creates lots of noise. I like the food and how I’m treated here but it’s not a romantic place to go.
We came out to celebrate our parents 66 wedding anniversary. Table for 4. We had an excellent dining experience. We all had the surf and turf. I would say it was the best meal I've eaten in a fine dining restaurant in quite a while. The staff made it a special night for my parents and we all enjoyed the evening. This was my first time dining here. I highly recommend. We will be back.
Our server was very polite and professional, and gave a great recommendation on wine that wasn't too pricey. Our only gripe was the seating. There were 4 of us, and the booths are a little on the small side. The lights turned way down at 4pm, perhaps that's a bit too early for romantic lighting. Overall we were happy with the food and the service for our business holiday dinner.
Mike was an excellent server. He handled our party very efficiently and was polite with good conversation. All of our brunch meals and drinks were fantastic. We all especially loved the mini muffins that were served before our meals arrived. This is a great spot for small groups.
Good staple restaurant of "Historic Dublin". Having said that, I believe this restaurant will struggle to survive when newer restaurants open along the river. The pricing is consistent with high end restaurants but the food presentation and prep felll a bit short of my expectations. The service was also a bit stretched and waiter could not keep up with their tables. In summary, still a nice restaurant for dates/ get togethers but with the increasing competition in the Dublin restaurant market, I think they may be in trouble.
Awesome service. Melissa was very friendly and on-the-ball.
Cocktails very good old fashioned
Wine - try the cab blend
Steak (ordered medium rare; dry, small, charred on outside)
House salad - too much garlic
Tip: if you need cash for valet or otherwise, there is an ATM very close to the valet stand.
Wonderful dining experience from start to finish — friendly hostess, manager, and server; excellent wine (even bought a bottle to take home!); outstanding meal and special birthday dessert for my husband! Steaks were cooked to perfection and the scallops were delicious!! We have dined at Tucci’s a few times and have always been impressed!
