Tucci's Ratings and Reviews
Mike was an excellent server. He handled our party very efficiently and was polite with good conversation. All of our brunch meals and drinks were fantastic. We all especially loved the mini muffins that were served before our meals arrived. This is a great spot for small groups.
Good staple restaurant of "Historic Dublin". Having said that, I believe this restaurant will struggle to survive when newer restaurants open along the river. The pricing is consistent with high end restaurants but the food presentation and prep felll a bit short of my expectations. The service was also a bit stretched and waiter could not keep up with their tables. In summary, still a nice restaurant for dates/ get togethers but with the increasing competition in the Dublin restaurant market, I think they may be in trouble.
Awesome service. Melissa was very friendly and on-the-ball.
Cocktails very good old fashioned
Wine - try the cab blend
Steak (ordered medium rare; dry, small, charred on outside)
House salad - too much garlic
Tip: if you need cash for valet or otherwise, there is an ATM very close to the valet stand.
Wonderful dining experience from start to finish — friendly hostess, manager, and server; excellent wine (even bought a bottle to take home!); outstanding meal and special birthday dessert for my husband! Steaks were cooked to perfection and the scallops were delicious!! We have dined at Tucci’s a few times and have always been impressed!
We felt for this experience the restaurant was overpriced for the food quality and service provided. Sides were not included with the entree and pricey for the ingredients included. Arugula salad was wilted and drenched in dressing. It was also over chilled, an indicator that it had been pre-prepared and sitting in refrigeration, not prepared from scratch. We each ordered a side. The truffle fries were served cold initially. For both the salad and fries we had to track down a server to have the issue addressed. Wait staff was not frequently attentive.
We eat out frequently. We have not been to Tucci's probably over 10 years. I think they had a better menu then than now. Food was disappointing. There were four of us. The salads were good (although a bit pricey-- $8. I eat much better salad at Refectory or Lindey's for the same price or less. Of course you cannot put Tucci's and the other two restaurants I mentioned in the same category!). My wife ordered Crab cakes and a small order of baby Bella mushrooms. Normally crab cake we eat at other restaurants come pan seared. This was deep fried. Too greasy and heavy. Mushrooms came with a strange and strong spice. Neither one of us liked it. I ordered the only pasta dish that I thought would be not too heavy. I opted to add chicken to it. Pasta came in a clear broth liquidly sauce. Sliced chicken pieces added to it did not have any taste. To make my dish edible and enjoyable, I requested some marinara sauce and some parmesan cheese. With these additions, I made my dish OK. In summary, we wasted a good amount of money on food we did not like. If you have a refined taste for food, Tucci's is not the place I would recommend.
Service was excellent. Our waiter did everything she can to make our evening enjoyable.
I especially love Tucci's in the summer. Great outdoor area and atmosphere. I was pleased on this visit to have a booth in the back area where it was a little quieter. I don't think I would like a booth near the door in the winter. I expect it could be pretty chilly.
My wife and I celebrated a special occasion there on a Saturday evening and the ambience was very delightful . Really enjoyed the fire heaters outside and the wonderful jazz music, our waiter also was very attentive and extremely professional. Food options could’ve had a few more choices for vegetarians but overall food was pretty good. Overall had a wonderful experience.
We had a wonder time at the community table with friends. The bar was lively and friendly and our drinks were delicious. Dinner was wonderful. The service was just a little slow as it was a busy night. But we enjoyed spending our evening outside...and hearing some great music.
It was a very pleasant evening for all four of us!
