Daily delivered fishes and the modern atmosphere will satisfy you with our friendly staffs.
Conversation at the bar with our executive chef, CO , who has 15 years of experience make your dining unforgettable. Exceptional ingredient such as truffle oil, black sea salt, and gizami wasabi also make his dishes more remarkable.
The food was excellent and fish was super fresh. Had it not been for the mediocre/borderline rude service, we would probably go back. Note to management: it is considered rude to seat a party an immediately tell them there is a time limit for the meal. I’ve only had that happen at AYCE places and never at a regular sit-down restaurant. We had a reservation for a party of four, so it wasn’t like we were taking up half the restaurant. And to say “we are fully booked tonight, so there is a two-hour limit on the table,” and be rushed through ordering made us feel unwelcome. We likely would have ordered a lot more food and drinks if we weren’t given the time limit. When we left, half the restaurant was still empty. Too bad!
It took 50 minutes for our food to be served and the waiters seemed to be purposefully ignoring us. The food itself was good, but not worth the environment.
My date and I were pleasantly surprised by how great the food and service was.
I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Sushi!!
Great service, great food! Love this place!!
I went here for an early NYE dinner, and had a very nice time. The food was good, the beer and sake was as reasonably priced as you can get in LA. There were a few things like the Baked Crab hand roll was way too fishy, and the Spanish Mackerel wasn't the best, but everything else we had was great. They have a large selection of cut rolls, and I feel like that is the thing to focus on when dining out there, although the Nigiri sushi was good as well, but we stuck to the basics (salmon, tuna, yellowtail). We had a 2 year old with us, and they had all the necessary things (cups with lids, a good attitude) to deal with her as well.
Food is great and the sashimi so fresh. Shrimp tempura hand roll has 2 shrimps in it! We had a family gathering there and everybody from 2 years old to 84 enjoyed the food very much.
Easily the best sushi I’ve ever had. Everything we had melted in your mouth. The service was very good, friendly and professional. Place was a little small which made it difficult to hear the person you’ re with.
Great for business meeting or casual dining. Family friendly, not ideal for dates.
Nice Place, not too fancy. Good Food. I really enjoyed the Udon noodles. I would be back or even order to go.
Staff was not friendly at all. Sushi chefs made us feel like we were a burden to their prep work. Sushi was good - not great. Ambiance light was way too bright.
Great spot! Amazing service wish I could name drop our servers and host but will def be back!!!
Everything was so delicious. Towards the end it seems like the hostess forgot about us and we couldn’t seem to get a check. Other than that it was good
Tsuri is one of our favorite sushi places - it combines the highest quality fish for amazing sashimi with really creative rolls and combinations. The draft Sapporo is fantastic. But it’s also the owner and the staff that make this place great - always friendly and welcoming. Fantastic place!!
I had a delicious meal with my friend and would have probably ordered more wine and food had the waiter spent more time checking on us. He seemed a bit confused at one point when we followed up on something we ordered and only received half of, and decided to argue with us about the fact that we were wrong. But the food was DANK and I'll be back.
Great diner at Tsuri !
This used to be our favorite sushi place, but after our last meal, we are considering never returning there.
The service was terrible and the food was so slow, we cancelled our last order and asked for the check.
Turns out the restaurant was just taken over by a new owner last month. We may give it one more shot, but after this dreadful experience, we will probably just find a new place.
Great sushi near the Melrose District.
We arrived early and they were able to seat us right away. Food was AMAZING! So so good !! Will be coming back again for the jalapeño bomb
Our experience at Tsuri was Amazing! Not only did we have the most delicious sushi we have ever eaten, the chef was a true artist, an extremely knowledgeable guide & they made my wife's birthday an unforgettable experience!
Great sushi in a neighborhood type setting.
Wendy is the BEST! Going back again very soon.
Servers were nice but completely forgot my friend's order. Rolls weren't very good. Very pricey for what you get. With so many good sushi places in the area, just go elsewhere.
UNREAL service. Our server and the chef were sensational. Food was outstanding! Tried Soju (liquor) for the first time and loved it and saw my first sake bomb in action! So fun
Poor service. Waiter never brought water, never checked on us after our food arrived and we had to flag him down to order dessert and get the check. They were not busy.
Live shrimp was great!
The lunch special is one of the best in town. Fresh fish and large portions and great prices!
Very mediocre sushi compared to others in the city.
Deep fried items, like tempura were overly greasy.
Flashing LED lights made the place feel like a nightclub.
We go to Tsuri often because of the quality of the sushi and the value. That said, the service is ALWAYS DREADFUL!
SUSHI IS GREAT and AFFORDABLE!
Being a sushi love myself, I love frequenting good sushi restaurant in Los Angeles, however I usually find them pricey or I find in them a lack of taster. I would call Tsuri the best sushi for the price I have ever had in LA.
Could get better sushi for better prices elsewhere.
We eat here nearly every week but I ordered Omakase for my daughter's birthday this time and it was fantastic. Every piece was well thought out beautifully presented and simply delicious.. it was so reasonable and we were stuffed.
Very fresh fish and creative sushi rolls. The sexy roll was delicious! The service was a little inattentive but I think they were training a new server so that might have been the issue.
Great food, great service!
Great creative sushi. Definitively worth going!
The sushi here is fine, it's not bad, it's not great; but the pricing would imply it's the best sushi on Melrose lol. Philly roll is $14!! WTF is that about. Way overpriced for what you get. I also discovered several hairs in my food.... luckily I'm not weird about that stuff but I know people who are so if you are grossed out by hair in your food I'd avoid this place.
Very solid great quality sushi, nice rolls and great menu
The food was delicious but the service was slow. The servers were very polite and sweet but not attentive. Long waits between dishes. 15 minutes just to have them take my credit card after they had given us the bill. We were a party of 6 and they added a 20% gratuity. Service was not "20%" service.
Friendly staff and very attentive sushi chefs at the bar!
It's a bit pricey. It was good sushi.
