Tsunami is like a wave of the hip urbane. Dim lights, house music, a good looking wait staff flavor the cozy sushi and sake bar-flanked dining room.

Tsunami offers the seas' freshest bounty paired with one of the largest, most sophisticated sake selections found on the west coast. The bar also offers an array of high end spirits from Gin to Great Japanese single malts. Tsunami bar creates an amazing list of cocktails that combine both modern & classic cock-tailing. Corkage is a sake & wine retail shop connected to Tsunami where you can find 100's of bottles to choose from either to take home or open for your dinner with a $20 corkage fee at the restaurant.

One of the great draws next to the incredible fresh authentic sushi, is the late night food offering till 12 midnight weekdays & 1am weekends.

Maybe we ordered wrong but this visit was not good. Uncomfortable floor seating, loud, sashimi was veiny and hard to chew/digest. Rolls were pricey not spicy as hoped. Sake was nice.

The Scorpion roll and the spicy tuna hand roll were amazing. I also enjoyed pairing the sushi with the Vinho Verde on the menu. Yum!

We had several specialty rolls (Papa-San, scorpion, Mount Fuji, and The Abnormals) and they were spectacular! I have not had sushi this fresh and well prepared since I was last in Tokyo! Cute place and it should get even nicer after their acquisition and expansion into the next door space. Get here and eat with all due haste!

Great dining experience. Sushi was amazing, also had several great creative rolls and other dishes. Service was excellent, the environment was very "happening" and cool. Highly recommend.

The staff at Tsunami was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and generous. We had a great time, at delicious food, tried a few wonderful sake options and enjoyed ourselves immensely. If you are bothered but a boisterous atmosphere you may want to go when it is less crowded but we liked the bustle.

I am a long time patron and Neighborhood lover of Tsunami. I was highly disappointed that the Hamachi Kama was no longer on the Happy Hour menu. This is my favorite dish and I understand why this may have happened but I am very very very disappointed that they took it off the Happy Hour menu

The food, service, and the ambiance were top notch. I go especially for the MARS ATTACK. It was interesting that it's a whiskey bar but they do not have Bulleit bourbon. Hmmm. And it seems like the prices have spiked since the last time I was there. I suppose it is all worth it and it was all delicious but I think they are now out of my price range. Victoria was especially friendly and attentive at the bar. The hostess did her best to accommodate us because we came in early for our reservation. That was pretty cool! You should go and enjoy but be prepared to pay top dollar for all that they offer.

I was in town for a week and was looking for non-toursity hot spots for sushi & stumbled upon Tsunami through a foodie forum. I could not have picked a better place & was excited to find such a gem in a unique neighborhood! The atmosphere, energy, and food were all spot on & our service was amazing! Between the hostess & our waitress, they really went above and beyond to make a great dining experience! I will definitely go back again :)
