The design is one of modern yet warm Japanese design through the use of white oak, which is used extensively in Japan, and clean sharp lines. The combination of the spirits and sushi bars in the same line was to allow the guest to watch the making of what they are going to feast and drink, as if watching a play.
Late Night dining is offered daily till 11.
Monday - Friday: 5:30pm-10:30pm
Saturday & Sunday closed
Good food, very fresh options, and extremely friendly and helpful waitstaff. We'll be back.
Was able to fulfill special request - kitchen was outstanding in that regard. Very happy. Delicious nigiri.
Our favorite place for sushi. The food is always fresh and great service.
The food really looked good, but unfortunately we left before we got to try it. We had made a reservation, but were seated at the communal table - they did move us, but it took a bit of cajoling to accomplish that. It took well over 15 minutes for our server to NOT come back with the taste of wine we had asked for. And that server seemed almost offended that we were not interested in Sake. I'm not sure why we chose sushi before a concert at ATT, but we had a much better time at Tres.
I would try this one again, though. The food looked really good!
Always enjoyable. Creative dishes. Fun staff.
Great place for dinner before a Giants game! Always fresh fish, which is a must for sushi! Thank you!
I went there for a date and was no disappointed. The staff treated us very nicely and Suggested great dishes, my date went great and I was happy about it. 10/10, did not disappoint.
Great service and food
Meh. Wasn’t that special. Food was super overpriced and the fish wasn’t amazing. I don’t know how fresh fish is around the Bay Area (I assume it’s pretty fresh) but the sushi places I go to in OC are way more fresh. Maybe it’s because I know the best places around there, or maybe this place is just not that great... I don’t know. I went to this place because OpenTable said it was cheap... not using OpenTable for that kind of think again. Don’t trust pricing on OpenTable... use Yelp or something.
Happy hour offerings delicious and reasonably priced.
Food was amazing, service was wonderful without being intrusive.
Best sushi restaurant in San Francisco.
We walk out to this restaurant frequently. This time we were disappointed with the Miso soup. It didn't have its usual good flavor and even tasted a little watery.
Nigiri Omakase is always amazing! You have to try the Suntori Pilsner on tap, it is one of the best beers I have every had. Our favorite sushi restaurant in San Francisco!
Amazing sushi and sake selection. Our server Tyler was amazing and made the night memorable. All of the staff were kind and accommodating. 10/10 would dine again!
Fantastic selection of sushi, sashimi, and sake. Wonderful service as well!
Overall, the experience was disappointing. We've been to Tsunami Panhandle many times. It was our first date and we ate the night we got engaged. But The Mission Bay Tsunami was disappointing. The service was just okay and we were both put off by the waitress.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend Tsunami Mission Bay. There are better sushi places in San Francisco. Tsunami Panhandle for one.
Good food but a little on the pricey side (probably due to the location of the restaurant)
16 piece sashimi platter the best in San Francisco.
The service was awesome, the sushi was on pointe and priced well. Came here for New Years, our server Ty treated us very well and set a fun vibe for the group. Couldn't have asked for a better evening!
We had a large group including some kids and the server was extremely helpful and accommodating. All our food was excellent .
Great selection of Japanese Whisky for the Bay Area but you'll pay dearly for the "good" stuff. The selection of fish was better than a "typical" Japanese restaurant. Ambiance is good - sleek & modern. The service is very good. Check the menu, it is limited.
Food was not what we expected. Very disappointed. We will not be back.
Great service and excellent food! We can't wait to go back.
This restaurant serves bluefin tuna. Two of three species of bluefin are listed as endangered and the third is on the brink of this designation. Serving this fish is the definition of unsustainable, and irresponsible. I would not eat here again.
The sushi rolled called Mojo is really delicious!
The sushi was ok, but overpriced. The execution on the rolls was lacking, again for the price point. The internal decor was good but the ambiance cannot make up for its corner location. With big tall floor to ceiling windows the traffic outside is distracting.
Fantastic sashimi and nigiri, highly recommend any and all of it.
Dishes were very tasty, but sometimes a bit of a wait in between. Still this is likely to be my new neighborhood sushi spot given its quality and value. Good stuff!
NOT YOUR TRADITIONAL SUSHI RESTAURANT, HAS A HIP EDGY SIDE I LOVED. FOOD WAS GOOD, MODERATE FOR THE CITY. I COULD SEE THIS PLACE BEING A LOT MORE LIVELY WE HAD 10;30 RESERVATIONS SO IT WAS QUIET BUT I LOVED THE DECOR AND THE MUSIC WAS A ++
This was one of the best dining experience I ever had. Food is great, staff is super friendly and the ambiance is cozy and casual. Our waiter, Jason, is super friendly and cares about his clients - the overall experience was great and we felt like locals. Definitely my new favorite sushi place!
Food is always great but what stands out even more is the amazing service. Jason our waiter was great! Def our new neighborhood go-to!
The sushi was good but I've had so much better elsewhere in the city. Especially when you're paying $16/roll I expect a bit better. Not bad though if you're in the area so give it a try and see what you think!
Waiter was super friendly, service
Aside from the fresh sushi, delicious sushi creations & notable sake list, our waitress Gretchen made the experience truly memorable. She helped my gfs pick the perfect sake for all of them. She offered many sake tastings along with complimentary dessert. She was so fun & highlighted the great experience at Tsunami. We will be back!! Can't wait!
This is the 4th time we have eaten here - has been better before - service was very non attentive - altho the palace was not busy had to ask several times for things we ordered - given the choices for sushi in the City if it were not for the Happy Hour specials would not return.
Order small order of albacore sashimi for $8 dollars got small order as I order but my bill came $14 dollars got overcharged I waited to see if the hostess was going to corrected she never did not fair
Food portions was very small for the price my bill came to $160 dollars for 2 people Including tip I was still hungry and had to go out a grab something else
Not a place I will go or recommend anyone I will also write my review in Yelp thanks
Excellent food, and a very friendly service staff. Very close to the ballpark too. The sushi was very fresh and there were some creative rolls. Would definitely go again.
Wanted a restaurant close to the AT&T parking lot that had more than bar food, sandwiches or Pizza. We had no experience with Asian Fusion before and the waiter was extremely helpful. The food was delicious, moderately priced, and it was a great place to start the evening.
