Food is absolutely delicious and waitstaff is very attentive. Offered an excellent suggestion on wine and desserts. It is a gem within the town of Arlington! Definitely worth a visit!

The food was great, as has been my experience. I don't know if this was a miscommunication, but I asked for no balsamic dressing on the salad (with salmon), and the salad came with no dressing, no tapenade and no pistachios. They instead substituted a few arugula greens for the missing ingredients. We did ask and get the missing items. However, it seemed very strange. No apology as well. The waitress/barmaid was talking to us from quite a distance away from the table. We said we were having a hard time hearing her. Have to wonder if she really did not hear our requests. Also very loud at this particular time.

My father and I visited Tryst to try something new, and the reviews looked pretty good. My first impressions: interesting musical selection, high ceilings, bustling, several groups waiting... glad I'd made a reservation. We did wait and watch as other parties of 2 arrived after us, and were seated ahead of us, but I'd hoped they perhaps had an earlier reservation. Once seated, I noticed that the restaurant may have been somewhat short staffed for a Saturday evening. The hostess was helping out tables (seating/clearing/answering questions), and our waiter seemed to be dealing with many sections. After a little bit of a wait, we placed our drinks/appetizer/meal order. We started with prosecco and calamari which were both delicious. My father selected the chicken & dumplings for his meal, while I chose the pork chops. The plates looked gorgeous upon arrival. I tasted the garlic mash of my dish, and it was spot on. My father really loved the dumplings, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. I proceeded to slice up the pork, when I realized that it was quite raw in the middle. I know that pork chops are approved to be served with a slight pink middle these days, but this was a mostly pink center. I waited for the waiter to return to not only ask that the pork chop be cooked a little more, but to also place another drink order. However, as mentioned earlier, he was slammed with tables, and the hostess ended up addressing the issue. My father waited to eat his meal until mine returned, and another gentleman did come by to offer to place his dish under the warmer, but my father had lost his appetite by then. My original pork chop came back on a new bed of greens and potato, but the original sliced portion of the meat was missing. I don't mind waiting for a new dish, but if you're giving me the same piece of meat back, at least return all of the meat! The waiter was apologetic, and did remove the cost of one glass of prosecco, but it wasn't a great experience.

The service was excellent and the bacon wrapped blue cheese stuffed dates are a MUST! Three of us has the Bolognese which was a generous portion and good but a little too much oregano for my taste. Sautéed scallops presented spring pea purée were perfectly cooked.
We will return.

I was expecting a bit more polish to the service and atmosphere. We were about to be shown to our seats by the hostess; she looked at her phone, said, "Just a minute." and took the call before escorting us to the table.

Our waiter either was having a bad night, or is not particularly suited to the work. Lackluster service, nonchalantly dropping, rather than placing the basket of rolls on the table. Later, served cappuccino that had spilled over the side of the cup and onto the saucer.

For my part, at this price point, I expect a pepper grinder on the table, rather than ground pepper.

My party seemed happy with their food, and I'd give this place another chance based on the many more positive reviews I checked out before making my reservation.

A friend unexpectedly came to town and was available for brunch. With no ideas for a good place for brunch in the area, I went to OpenTable and found this option. Literally had never heard of it before. We had a very enjoyable brunch. Good food, pleasant service (though a bit slow with coffee refills), nice atmosphere. I would definitely go back.

I love steak frites but often get a very tough piece of meat. This was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. And a generous portion too. I would certainly return for this. Frites don’t get quite such a high mark as they were not consistently crisp, but also very nice seasoning. Good service and a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

The food was outstanding, nice portion sizes, creative menu. The setting is comfortable, we were a party of 6 and could all hear each other. Our server was pleasant, however, we needed to flag down a manager to have our waiter stop by the table. Once that was accomplished though the rest of the meal went smoothly. I would not hesitate to return, the food was worth the extra effort needed. Overall an excellent time.

We particularly enjoy taking friends to Tryst to dine with us. The bar area is very cozy and the food never fails to please everyone’s palate. My husband and I also like to frequent the bar to sample the appetizers. We’ll be back!

We decided to take a chance on a new spot and were rewarded. As soon as we walked in, the host made us feel welcome and made sure we got a comfortable table. Our server, James, was fantastic. He was the ultimate professional yet knew how to interact and make us laugh. He was also great at making suggestions. The cocktails were perfect and our meals were superb. We will certainly be going back as soon as we can.

Having been there several times, we suggested it to our small group (of 4). Not one of us thought their meal was good. So disappointing! Server was really out of it, seemingly too tired to make it to our table, really off-putting. But the food- we all left significant portions on our plates. Bummer.

Wonderful food! A lobster slider that is actually a gourmet lobster roll with fresh, large chunk lobster in a fabulous, homemade brioche bun. The gourmet table bread comes from the wonderful bakery, Iggy's Breads of the World.

We had a very nice time at Tryst. The service was great and our meals were delicious. They have a gluten free menu with a variety of options which I appreciated. My salmon was prepared perfectly and as ordered. Tryst offered a number of desserts, all made onsite.

I highly recommend Tryst.

I have never been to Tryst before but went for a Sunday brunch and was very pleased with the menu. My salmon was delicious and made to order. My date's omelet was also quite nice. He got his potatoes extra crispy. We felt comfortable and cared for - thanks!!

Something happened to our dinner ticket so it took 90 minutes to get our Entree.

Food was ver good, and Manager was nice enough to comp our entrees.

I would go back again, as the tables next to us that arrived after us got their meals pretty quickly.

If the waiter was on point, he would have been able to see our issue sooner and adjust.

We walked in for brunch. We waited at the door to be seated. A server, who ended up being ours, came up to the host stand bit didn’t even acknowledge our presence and then walked away.
The hostess came up and then sat us.
It was fairly busy, but it took a very long time between my first and second beverage, as our server didn’t return. When I asked someone else for a drink, she stated she couldn’t even touch it because she was 17.
Then the hostess went to find our server for drinks, as if she, herself couldn’t get it.
Our server was entering an order into the computer, so it took a bit longer.
I got an omelet with asparagus and mozzarella, and there were 2 thin pieces of asparagus and the whole omelet was like warm because the mozzarella was ice cold.
It just wasn’t a great experience for my first time there.

I've had better. The creme brulee french toast was huge, but soggy and cloyingly sweet. A smaller portion with more attention to detail would have gone a long way. My friend's omelet was perfectly proportioned and well prepared. I think I'll stick to dinner and skip the brunch. I've had delightful dinners at Tryst.
