Food and service were great! Only downside is outdoor seating next to busy Mass Ave
We had five in our party. All the staff were very attentive. The food was delicious, I had the chicken with the Roman gnocchi. It was amazing, especially the Roman gnocchi!
Different from the the usual gnocchi with individual bits. Not sure how best to describe Tryst’s Roman gnocchi but it’s a story of noodle and potato mashup. Delightful. And the chicken danced with the gnocchi!
My spouse and I had dinner at Tryst, a favorite of ours recently. We enjoyed the fish tacos and calamari. They had a new dish with roman style gnocchi, which was not what we expected and a bit disappointing in contrast to the traditional gnocchi we are use to enjoying.
I liked Tryst, they make excellent cocktails. I thought they needed a bit more on the menu, more variety.
It was very warm in the dining room. Coming in from 85+ degrees at 8 PM and not hardly cooling off was not ideal.
Service was spectacular
LOVE that I could bring my dog for outdoor seating!
Loved everything we had !!
This was our first time at Tryst and we'll definitely be back. Food was excellent and the servers were wonderful. The only negative was that we were sitting on Mass Ave. I appreciate that all restaurants are making an effort to create outdoor seating during COVID but had I known, we probably wouldn't have made the reservation. Nonetheless, glad I didn't know because it is definitely a wonderful find.
Food was great! Service was great! Makes us nostalgic for our favorite restaurant on Upper West Side ! Very happy to have this wonderful comfortable neighborhood restaurant with terrific food!
Excellent service and yummy food
Fun date night or special occasion restaurant, upscale but comfortable enough to bring kids. Great cocktails, delicious food but fairly limited menu.
Such a great waitstaff! Will go back again. The burger was phenominal!!
Nice place to meet for quick drink and meal before attending Barry Goudreau concert at nearby Regent Theater.
Friendly staff and great food. We were able to sit outside because of covid, which I really appreciated.
The outdoor seating, behind barricades on Mass Avenue can be (and was) interrupted by muscle car engines growling as they went by.
Nothing the restaurant can do about it, just the perils of curbside dining during Covid. They do have inside dining as well which is quite pleasant.
The draft beers were not available and the tap was not working. When I asked for a malbec wine, I was told that they had run out of that wine. For desserts, there was ice cream but the chocolate mousse had been sold on the previous evening. Our choices in several areas were limited. The entrees we selected were quite good.
So nice to be back! Its been awhile since we went to Tryst and we were NOT disappointed. COVID cautions were still in place - tables were adequately far apart - and food was wonderful as were cocktails. Definitely will return again soon. Only disappointed with how loud it was - or did I get older during the pandemic?!
Great spot and all love and support for restaurants trying to bounce back, but they're not quite back to pre-pandemic quality yet. The menu is more limited than the posted menu and they were out of several things. Will definitely go back anyway, but hope they iron out the kinks.
Excellent food and service!
Everything about Tryst was wonderful. The salmon was the best I've ever had, and the fish tacos were delicious. There was a problem with the beer tap, but the list of cans/bottles have great choices. I'll be back!
The hosts and waitstaff were excellent. The wine suggestion was perfect.
Great service and the food was excellent. Glad to have them accommodate my vegan daughter as well.
Interesting menu, top notch preparation, great service. The pasta involtini was complex and flavorful. For non-vegetarians, the bourbon tips are recommeded. Top it off with chocolate mousse torte. Just a bit on the pricey side but worth it for a special meal.
First time there and will definitely go back.
A very different menu offering - good food prepared with care and good taste.
First time at Tryst. Food was excellent, staff were friendly and followed up quickly, getting information when they couldn't answer a question about a wine pairing suggestion.
The layout of the restaurant includes some large posts that provide visual obstacles that could be seen to either give more privacy or isolate the table depending on your point of view.
We will return to further explore the menu, but likely be more selective about our seating choice.
Lovely evening at outside table. Terrific meals!!
Great meal. Great service. Great place to celebrate a return to pre-pandemic normalcy
Tryst is always reliably great. Food is perfect. Cocktails are excellent. Service is very nice. Their truffle fries are the best anywhere.
Tryst is back! We loved being able to sit at the bar last night and we noticed that the restaurant was busy particularly the new outside tables. We had the fried chicken sandwich and a burger with truffle fries. Both dishes were excellent.
So great to have Tryst back! Our food and cocktails were delicious and the servers were so friendly and accommodating. The outside tables were a welcome addition, as we can’t do inside with our son.
Great food as usual and super excited to see this town stable continues to thrive even through these unfortunate times. I was also pleased to see plenty of waitstaff, but disappoint that our particular waiter seemed to continually forget about us. Never refilling our water, never checking to see if we wanted another cocktail, if our meal was as expected. We finally flagged him done as he rushed by on his way to his other table. Again there was plenty of waitstaff and plenty of folks milling about, which made the lack of service even more confusing. Thankfully the food was so hood.
Liked the pasta blah blah blah blah Min 50 charcters
Great local place for casual dinning. Food is inspired, we'll prepared and presented. Staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful.
Consistently one of our favorite restaurants in Arlington, a bit pricey but the quality of food and the service are great.
Really good, great service, missing some old favorites but it was noisy at the high tops Friday night. If want to chat will sit somewhere else next time!
Shrimp taco’s yummy and a nice dry rose!
I was looking forward to a nice casual dinner on a Friday evening in this restaurant that received very good reviews. The experience was underwhelming. After seating us, the host said the fryer was not working and therefore no fried food from the menu was available. She then brought over the list of specials and the only entree was sold out. I proceeded to order a (starter) salad only to find out that the option was not available. I was reluctant to order a refill on my drink, so I paid the bill left a tip and we came home and ate left overs.
Service was slow and food just average, they were out of some items from their permanent menu (not the specials)
Decent food no bread:(
Slow Bar service
Loud talker at bar
Menu was limited and too much pub food.
