Truva Ratings and Reviews
Showed up at 9:45 for my 9:45 reservation, we flew into Alanta late. Open table and their website stated the kitchen served until 10:30. No one was in the restaurant dining. Asked a gentleman if they were still serving. He said he'd ask the hostess, while a waiter standing near by said "No"! We figured it out quite quickly and left!
Amazing Turkish food in the heart of downtown ATL. The food was exquisite. When visiting get any of their kebabs. The belly dancing, colors, lighting, ambiance and seating took you on a trip to Turkey. The service was quite slow, but the food and experience made up for it all. A must visit spot in ATL.
What a disappointment. The food was mediocre, and the service was awful. The place was more than half empty on a Saturday night. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, but it took half an hour to get the check and thank goodness we weren't offered dessert, because the slow service made us late for our next engagement.
The only nice thing I have to say is that the server knew how to appropriately address my food allergy questions.
No idea how this place has a four star rating across multiple review sites.
My sister and I had drinks and appetizers at Tuvia and were very pleased. We were a bit apprehensive when we arrived about 7:30 pm and were the only people in the restaurant, however, more people began arriving shortly thereafter. I ordered a Rosemary Martini, which was outstanding -- my sister's Cosmo was excellent as well. We shared four appetizers which were all very good. The mint in the stuffed grape leaves was a nice surprise, the hummus as good as I've ever had. All in all a very nice experience and I would certainly recommend it.
Service was extremely slow though the atmosphere was very nice. It took forever to get a drink, place an order or get even the bread they typically bring out. Even when we waited for our seats at the bar when we first came in, we were there for 15 minutes and the bartender never even took an order from us.
We visited your lovely resturant Thursday night, as is our annual custom while we are here for Dragon Con. As always, even with the insanity of labor day, your team did an amazing job. I never got the servers name but he was fantastic. Everyone treated us with the utmost care and respect. We loved the live entertainment of the belly dancer, the mind-blowing cocktails, the stellar food and the unbeatable service. Thank you, and we will see you next year!
This was our second visit, first time was four adults and 5 children ages 5 to 16. Second visit was four adults and 4 children ages 5 to 12. Both visits were great. Interesting food, fun cocktails, good wine, and the staff were great with the little barbarians dining with us. Found food on the menu to make vegetarians, carnivores, and picky children happy.
My friend and me were really in the mood for Turkish food, so Truva was a recommended place for it. The food was outstanding our server was very polite, and prompt. The atmosphere and décor was wonderful and the belly dancer really made it a unique experience would certainly dine there again.
My husband insisted on taking me to Truva since he had eaten there with his middle-eastern family they last time they were in town and had loved it. I love the ambiance in here. Don't be alarmed by the around-the-corner, up the stairs entrance. We went on a Saturday night at 6:30 and it was pretty empty. We got a large curved booth to ourselves which was romantic. The food and music were authentic. The food was very good. We got the mixed grill for 2 and the combine 3 apps (hummus, grape leaves and tabouleh). The grape leaves were different than I'd ever had before. Something sweet about them that I really enjoyed. Entree portions are huge though the app portions could have been bigger in my opinion. I can never get enough hummus!
Everything's about the restaurant advertised that there was belly dancers, as we got there that is what we expected and there were No belly dancers ! May want to update daily if you are or not. We were disappointed being that it was our first time. Also the rice that came with our meal wasn't warm nor was it fresh. Just disappointed in our experience. Thought it would be more authentic.
I was very impressed with Truva. Our party of 7 was accommodated, although we only reserved 6 and our server was as fresh as the food. She was delightful, slightly irreverent and patient with us. The food was splendid, and even the newbies to Turkish food were blown away.
Hubby and I went here for our wedding anniversary. Food was great but our service was poor. Our waiter did not seem interested in being our waiter. His attitude was different with the tables around us but very nonchalant and absent minded with my husband and I. Good food not so good experience.
We recently moved to Atlanta and were in search of good authentic Turkish food as it is one of our favorites. After several tries at other restaurants we found what we were looking for at Truva. The menu is terrific as is the food. The doner is not to be missed. We will be regulars at Truva.
We are in Atlanta once a year for business, and Truva is a yearly tradition. The group we take keeps growing, in fact. Everyone has a great time. The service has never faltered. The food is phenomenal. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. We'll be back next year!
We were there for dinner with a party of nine. The decorations and seating were exotic as was the food. The waiter was very good about explaining Turkish food and helped to make sure that everyone, kids, vegetarians, and non-vegetarians had something to make them happy. Also had a great original cocktail menu.
Ran across this place while picking my son up from Georgia State and was intrigued. My girlfriend and I had business in A couple of weeks later so we decided to give it a try. Great choice. We got there early so of course there was no crowd. The food was amazing with my girlfriend, who spent her summers in Turkey as a child, claimin the food tasted just like she remembered. The wait staff was excellent and walked us through the menu providing suggestions as he went.
I had a two o'clock reservation for four. We were taking care of upon arrival. My only disappointment was the menu. We were provided the lunch menu verse the dinner menu. Fortunately our waitress informed us what was available on the dinner menu. The unfortunate part was the fact that the shank was not available, due to still coming.
I settled for the chops. They were tasty but small in comparison to other venues.
Which in turn made the price some what expensive for such a serving.
