Me and my sister visited this place for the first time. The outdtanding hospitality, the excellent service and the remarkable dishes were marvelous. All of this was topped with a spectacular oriental bellydancer. A must do when in Atlanta.
Service was excruciatingly SLOW!!.. Our server was totally inattentive, because he was clearly more invested in a bigger table right next to us... and he was in an eternal rush to clear our plates!!.. Food was decent but the fslafels were absolutely uncooked from the inside... almost as if they had been flash fried and the frozen contents remained raw!..
Excellent restaurant with authentic Turkish dishes. Attentive service we th owners and management that cares. Lovely ambiance. They have a belly dancer on some evenings. Always very talented and she dances multiple times during the night for short stints. Just long enough to be fun but so long as to be distracting from dinner. The desserts are also excellent and I would recommend Turkish tea or coffee after.
The food was good but the service left a lot to be desired. We were seated right away. Then the waitress showed up and promised us that she will be right back to get us bread and take our order. She was gone for 10-15 minutes and we had to flag her down. Gave her our order. No bread.
When she finally got our food she got my wife the wrong dish, which had to be sent back.
The food tasted good but service definitely fell short.
Babaganoush is AMAZING.
Great evening in a new venue for us in Atlanta, with good food and fun entertainment. It made our business meal something we will all remember!
We tried Truva for the first time while spending the weekend in Atlanta. We always try to go somewhere new when in a different city. No chain restaurants. Truva was fantastic. It’s upstairs when you walk in and it’s dark but once your eyes adjust the place is beautifully decorated. The waitstaff were all great and the food was really good. We took two of our kids with us and sometimes that can be a problem with new food but everyone loved what they ordered.
We truly enjoyed ourselves! The manager and our server were outstanding. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and the food was very good!
pleasant host, server ok, food great, kid friendly
This was my second time dining at Truva. Excellent food, excellent service on both occasions. Highly recommend going on a Friday or Saturday for the belly dancing.
What a great find! Went there with our kids before the ATLUTD game, and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and food! We had the challenge of having a vegan, and a picky eater and everyone loved their meal! We’ll definitely return.
The table wasn't ready when we arrived. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks.- 2 glasses of wine and one mixed drink. The hummus came without pita bread and we didn't get the bread until after our entrees arrived
We took our friends here because it met the dietary requirements of 3 people in the group: vegan, keto and gluten free options. The service was great, super helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic and we enjoyed the wine. This was an all around awesome experience.
Food was pretty tasteless, and burnt. Babaganoush taste like it was burnt, and falafel was also very burnt. Stuffed eggplant had no flavor. The best thing was the complementary bread they bring to the table. Very disappointing the food wasn’t up to par, because ambience is awesome.
It's super loud when the belly dancer makes an appearance every 25 minutes. The food was very good and so was the service. Good Turkish beer. We had a bunch of appetizers. They serve bread and olive oil to start. It was excellent.
I took my lab group here for a dinner when we were in town for a conference. The food was yummy and the atmosphere was really fun. The evening was definitely a success.
Beautiful atmosphere and great food. A nice break from the ordinary. Wonderful service and wine. Would highly recommend.
Wonderful experience. Definitely will return.
Absolutely loved it. The service and atmosphere were outstanding and the food was delicious. We all felt the overall dining experience was a step up.
Authentic Turkish flavors. Great bartender. A little slow getting food but worth the wait. Highly recommend.
I love the food here, never disappoints. Fresh and tasty and the staff are hospitable and friendly, one of my favorite Turkish spots.
Recommend the Lamb shank, the beef musaka is really nice too. There's plenty of other yummy stuff there.
The restaurant can not accommodate large parties. I had a total of 12 guest for my birthday diner and NO one was able to eat at the same time. The food came in increments of every 15 to 20 minutes, 3-4 plates at a time. We were told they share a kitchen with CUTS and only had one cook and one bartender for their customers. Also, there was only one belly dancer who encourages you to get up and dance. However, she does come out every 30 minutes and wears the same outfit. Overall, the experience was nice and I think I will return for a date night.
I lived in Ankara Turkey for 3 years and fell in love with Turkish cuisine. One of our favorite family dinners out was doner kebab served like their Iskender style. It would arrive sizzling hot from the spiced butter and simmering tomato sauce. While their version was not sizzling, the flavors were dead on, i was in memory heaven. The borek were perfect, their hot spread was excellent and whle i prefer hot grape leaves the flavors were melded
I have to go back. My friends lamb was tender and succulant and she ate every bite
I will go back a couple dozen times!! Excellent!!
We didn’t catch any belly dancing, unfortunately, but we enjoyed the ambiance and the food! We shared a selection of cold appetizers and loved each one... but our favorite was the grape leaves.
Good food, great service and nice atmosphere. WE shared a mixed grill. The meats were wonderful, the sliced spiced lamb the very best. The accompanying rice and salad were excellent. the only negative was the "belly dancer", to young, too American and her ability to move her belly was questionable, but the worst part was that they raised the music level while she danced and it was way too loud.
We enjoyed this restaurant, very well managed with great service and food, we will be back.
The food was really good but getting seated took over 15 minutes for a reservation and the service was not quick at all.
we went for NYE and there was a price fixe menu. The appetizer (only choice despite then saying we could order off menu) was fried liver so definitely not something with mass appeal so another choice would have been nice. We were then served a platter of a whipped sort of hummus/cheese, block of feta, and shredded tomato with spices. It was good but they gave us barely any bread to eat it with and really never came back to ask if we need more (we had 6 people). We then waited an hour for our entree so we didn’t eat dinner until about 11:15pm. Our waiter had been dancing with people and wasn’t really paying attention, we saw the manager finally approach him and say something. We finally ate but not before the two large tables beside us were up and dancing within an inch of our table while we were eating and their 9/10 year olds were blowing party horns with about a half hour to go before new years. Everyone in the place had been given hats and leis I finally had to ask for some. All in All we had a fun time but st $60 a person I expected better service from a small place
pleasant environment, good food, attentive service, not for vegan folks.
Overall a good experience
Good food, great service!
Overpriced. Uninspired menu. Loud music and belly dancing- an unwelcome surprise.
This was a great experience. We did not have to wait long at all. Reserve the table online using OpenTable. John our waiter was excellent. The food was tasty and exquisite and absolutely delicious. Great Ambience and excellent service.
Went for lunch. Wasn't crowded and service was impeccable and friendly.
Food was awesome. The drinks were poorly made and the service was so incredibly slow—but the food was good enough i would go back anyway.
Showed up at 9:45 for my 9:45 reservation, we flew into Alanta late. Open table and their website stated the kitchen served until 10:30. No one was in the restaurant dining. Asked a gentleman if they were still serving. He said he'd ask the hostess, while a waiter standing near by said "No"! We figured it out quite quickly and left!
What a nice treat to have a Turkish restaurant in town! The food was delicious, the service very professional and the ambience welcoming.
Wonderful food, superbly prepared
Would definitely go back if get back in town
Amazing Turkish food in the heart of downtown ATL. The food was exquisite. When visiting get any of their kebabs. The belly dancing, colors, lighting, ambiance and seating took you on a trip to Turkey. The service was quite slow, but the food and experience made up for it all. A must visit spot in ATL.
What a disappointment. The food was mediocre, and the service was awful. The place was more than half empty on a Saturday night. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, but it took half an hour to get the check and thank goodness we weren't offered dessert, because the slow service made us late for our next engagement.
The only nice thing I have to say is that the server knew how to appropriately address my food allergy questions.
No idea how this place has a four star rating across multiple review sites.
