great food and evening too
Trust never fails! An excellent evening, superb service, and impeccable food. No place finer!
What a great restaurant. Perfect for special occasions.
From the moment you enter Trust you can tell it’s going to be a special experience! Love the seating, which is most comfortable. The staff is exceptional- the host and hostess- the server- the bartender, and the most talented professionals cooking our food are top shelf. We so enjoyed watching the people preparing our delicious dishes. Each dish was prepared with such flare! We couldn’t decide which tasting experience we liked best- they were all outstanding. A truly magical experience!
Amazing and very creative flavor combinations in every dish. Really a culinary treat! And service could not be beat.
Overall, the meal was good. Very loud, though. Tough to talk indoors, so we moved outside.
Every taste was delicious! Hands down the best restaurant I have found in San Diego
Waiter was very aloof. Food was great.
Another fabulous meal at Trust. Amazing and creative food, superb service. Wine list needs help...
Food was a bit busy. Too many sauces drowning the food. Ambiance was very cool.
we had one of the best meals we've ever had in San Diego. I highly recommend Trust!!!!
Sashimi was very good, but small. Portions are small. Octopus was dry outside and firm. Sausage was salty and dry. Service was good.
We've been to Trust before and this time didn't disappoint. Our server made one recommendation that wasn't great but it was still quality. The service was great and they welcomed us with a glass of champagne for Valentines Day, which was a very nice touch. We'll definitely be back! Thanks for a memorable evening!
Have been there a few times...my wife and I are chefs and have been in the culinary industry for many years and this place hasn’t disappointed yet
Food was delicious. The wait staff was great and kept the drinks and food coming.
Went for a 2nd visit post COVID. They’ve only been re-opened 2-3 weeks. It took forever for the food to come out and EVERYTHING we ordered was super salty on top of being pricey. Our first visit on Valentines Day was awesome but after this visit I’m ok with not returning. The lamb meatballs were not good at all. It would be fair to say they were plain ole “not good”. I think maybe they have a new chef because the old one isn’t available post Covid I presume. I mean even their signature cauliflower dish was SALTY. The shrimp/sausage, pork sugo and oxtail raviolini were NOT to die for. Might MAKE you die though because of the salt. ;-). Very disappointed! Hate it when overpriced restaurants like this and Juniper and Ivy aren’t good.
This is our favorite restaurant in San Diego and we have been many many times. However, I’ve noticed lately that sometimes the food is overly salted. This last time, I found two dishes difficult to eat because of it.
The service and food was excellent!
Very cozy and quaint ambiance. Service was outstanding. You order “small plates” that are meant to share. My husband and I started with
Ricotta Agnolotti 5/5, next we had steamed clams 4/5 and sashimi 4/5, Braised Oxtail Raviolini 3/5, Bacon Chop 2/5, and for dessert we enjoyed the banana pudding with ice cream 5/5. Overall great experience. Would definitely dine again.
So good! You’ll love it!
Fantastic service. Absolutely delish food. I can't wait to go back.
Great experience all around. Fantastic food and impeccable service. Trust delivers every time.
This was my second visit to Trust, with a different friend. Of the 4 dishes we ordered, the agnolotti was definitely the best -- so rich and earthy! The beets and carrots were tasty (if you like pickled beets, which I do), and the lamb meatballs were delicious. The chicken terrine was so-so...our waiter described it as a "gourmet chicken nugget", which was pretty accurate. Since we were stuffed, we did not have dessert. Our waiter was just the right amount of attentive, and the ambience as usual was relaxed and comfortable. I can't wait to visit again!
Food was amazing! We ordered shrimp & sausage, wood grilled cauliflower, lamb meatballs and oxtail ravioli. Each dish was delicious and different. Loved them all! Impeccable service and very attentive staff. We will be back soon!
Incredible food all the way through. Service from Anthony was top notch. Pricey but worth every penny. You get what you pay for and this place delivers.
Very unusual hip and trendy in a good way. Nice crowd and good service
We arrived for an early brunch, and everything was great.
outstanding on all fronts.
Groovy building, open, airy. Used to be a lot noisier - they seem to have put in some noise reduction. Food is outstanding and original. Just a fun, city vibe. Service was awesome - everyone from the bus staff to waitstaff.... excellent. :)
Good food. Pricey. Share plates so difficult for just one person. Would be nice if such restaurants offered half order fir those dining solo
My colleagues and I had a truly fine evening at Trust. Every dish was flavorful—the hush puppies, dumplings and octopus were truly amazing! To top that, our server was amazingly courteous and fun-he advised us to go down the menu in order to have a rich experience. He wasn’t wrong. I’ll be back in MAY when I return to San Diego!
Love this place everything you order is fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. The mixed drinks especially the El Diablo, we're so yummy. Went for my early birthday treat and was not disappointed. Well be back.
I’ve been to Trust twice now both for breakfast. What can I say? The food is delicious! My favorites are the sticky bun (come early cause they run out), and the pancakes and chicken. The sticky bun is glorious with caramel sauce and topped with ice cream. The pancakes and chicken is a pair that was made in heaven. The pancakes are perfect and the chicken nuggets are crispy and spicy and just delicious! A must try! Come when they open at 9am - it’s quiet and there’s no wait.
Continues to be one of San Diego's top restaurants. There are not many, but those we have in SD are solid. Trust, Jeune et Jolie, Market, and just about anything pan-asian in Kearny Mesa.
If you go - get the Cauliflower and any raw prep and sugo on the menu. Wine list is decent and cocktail program is very good.
Always a wonderful experience!! Can’t recommend this place enough!!
Cannot day enough good things about this place. My friend was bowled over from the first bite and everything g starts with the food which is outstanding.
That the service is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere relaxed, just help to make this one of my favorites.
Good food. Interesting dishes from around the world.
Parking is a problem, unless you want to pay to park in the lot across the street.
Handicap access could be a challenge, though the traffic lights are responsive for pedestrians.
Great atmosphere and delicious food!
