Truluck's Seafood, Steak and Crab House - Southlake Ratings and Reviews
We went on Thanksgiving and had a reservation. It took a little longer to be seated than I expected but it was a holiday so not a big deal. The wine that our fantastic server recommended was great. All of the food came out perfectly and just the way we ordered. This is my second time to go to Trulucks and I would go again.
The staff was cordial and attentive, but it started off on the wrong foot when I had to wait 10 minutes for a reservation made a week prior. The steak was ordered as a medium, but arrived as a medium rare. The “chef’s topping” on the steak was lukewarm. The dessert, however, was phenomenal.
Our server was lacking in just about every aspect of food service one would expect at an establishment of this caliber. It set the mood for the evening
No one seemed to be aware that it was our anniversary.
Inaccurate reservation information(on your end)
The manager didn't really seem to have,or wasn't interested in any type of resolution.
We came specifically for the claws,,,at least they were good! well, except for getting just regular melted butter)
Went to Trulucks to celebrate our anniversary, and had the most fabulous dinner! We started with the Stone crab appetizer, and it was so good that we could have had an entire meal of stone crab! And we loved the bread bowl! The raisin bread is our favorite! It was more like a dessert! Then we had the salad with the pecans and apples. The dressing on it was simply fabulous! For an entrée, I had the miso Seabass. I’ve had it many times and it was just as good as always! My husband was also happy with his swordfish. The restaurant even treated us to a delicious baked Alaska for dessert! Highly recommend Trulucks for a great dinner anytime!
service was a little slow. waiting for steak was expected but had to wait for bread and cocktails. lobster bisque was good. pour the soup over lobster was very nice visually but we like our soup piping hot. pouring it over cold lobster lessened the temperature of the soup.
There is nothing like fine dining in a classic seafood & steakhouse, particularly on a special occasion. Great, fresh stone crab claws, well- crafted cocktails, knowledgeable and attentive service plus a surprise dessert with individual French Press coffees. Sign me up!
Absolutely fantastic anniversary dinner. Truluck's has been my wife and my favorite for years and it didn't disappoint. Had my son's birthday dinner at Bob's Steakhouse a couple of weeks prior....."night and day" from a noise level, quality of food and service perspective.
This was our first time dining with Trulucks. The food was delicious. However, my husband and I made a reservation for two to enjoy a nice quiet, romantic dinner. The hostesses sat us in a semi private room right night to an extremely loud large party. I wouldn't normally complain about this, but there were many other tables at which we could've been seated. My husband and I could hardly hear one another over the noise. The waiter noticed our struggle to converse and hear one another throughout the entire meal, so he sent us home with some free truffles. It was very thoughtful. Overall, the food and experience was amazing. I would just recommend to the hosts to be more cognizant of seating placements with dinner reservations.
