Beautiful location. Food was amazing. The waiter was very friendly.
Love this restaurant!
As always, the food at Truluck’s was great. Service was very slow on Monday and the music was way too loud in the dining room. We were a party three and we were shouting at each other.
Wonderful meal from start to finish as we celebrated Mom’s birthday. Highly recommend Sonoma salad to start although suggest dressing on the side as it is quite sweet. Cocktails were delicious and my husband and I opted for the stone crab claws which were fresh and delicious. Mom had the crab stuffed lobster tail and raved about it. Topping it off was a complimentary Baked Alaska which was a nice end to the birthday. Overseeing it all was our phenomenal waiter Brock — can’t say enough good things about his excellent, very professional service.
It was a good experience
The waiters were forgetting some tableware, like small fork for the oysters, new utensils for the main dish!!
Food was great as always, only disappointment is that they didn’t accommodate my request for a specific server, having made the reservation 3 days in advance I didn’t think this would be a problem.
Great food and music, piano player, Sarah, was marvelous.
Over the top service and the food matched we will Be back
Our server Vincent was excellent very professional
Excelent. Great food and service. Singer/piano player was very enjoyable
We were celebrating my husbands birthday and everything was outstanding and the food was spectacular. I will recommend this restaurant for any seafood lover.
Wonderful dining experience. Service was prompt and efficient . Food was excellent. Wife had twin South African Lobster tails with crab cake stuffing. Hasn't stopped talking about how much she enjoyed them. Our waiter Ricky was knowledgeable and best of all funny. Had us in stitches. Great evening.
Our waiter was Reggie, he was new and he was awesome! Food was good as well but Reggie really made our evening. I would definitely go back
A good choice for fresh seafood, walking distance to our hotel. Service was very friendly, attentive and professional.
This was our first time visiting the Miami location . It was very nice. The lunch was tasty and the ambience great.
1st class in every way . Best surf and turf restaurant been to anywhere in the world.
All 3 courses were superb - taste, quality of ingredients and presentation.
I came here to celebrate my mom's birthday. There was a slight wait event with a reservation which wasn't a problem, however when I went to the host podium to follow up about how they would find us to bring us to our table, I did feel a bit ignored as a man looked past me and my mother waiting to ask another guest if they needed assistance. I'm not a stiff VIP service, but it rubbed me the wrong way.
Aside from that start, we had really great service and the food was delicious. The crab mac & cheese was very tasty and included chunks of crab meat. My mom and I ate everything. For celebrations they offer a complimentary ice cream cake that they cover with flames then cut it in half to display the layers of chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream, coffee ice cream, and coffee grounds in a whipped cream shell. So good! My mom also ordered a chocolate layer cake to go that was deliciously moist and flavorful. 100% worth going back the next time I am in Miami.
Wonderful surprise! We went because Joes Stone Crab was sold out, but wow this place is GREAT! Amazing bar with live music during dinner. The food was TOP NOTCH, every bit as good as Joes, and the staff was very professional. Wine list is extensive. Give it a try, just wonderful!
Went to celebrate my birthday. I made a reservation for 4 people at 9. However I reached their at 9:20Pm since there was an accident on the turnpike southbound. I came and advise the check in person I had a reservation and he told me I had to wait but I said I had a reservation. I understand because I was late but never expected to wait for an hour to get a table for being 20 mins late for an unforeseen circumstance. The waiter was rude we ordered fish filet and he served us steak filet and we don’t eat steak, I advised him the mistake and he began to have an attitude. Apart from being late and have to wait an hour to celebrate my birthday wasn’t good plus the rude waiter. The restaurant itself was the only beautiful thing that made up for the mishap. So I give it a 3 star for the staff.
Amazing dinner experience. Made us feel like VIP's from the moment we arrived! We celebrated a anniversary with them and they had a speacial table with rose petals waiting for us . The food was delicious. The waiter to his time with each course and made sure we didn't feel rushed and then they gave us a delicious complimentary dessert! Overall great experience
Our evening meal at Trulucks rates a 15 On a scale of 1 to 10! Our waiter Gary was incredible and the food was sensational, we will look for one of the restaurants every time we take a trip to Florida
The food was very good. Not particularly kid friendly.
Thank you for a lovely dinner. Everything was delicious.
Excellent meal in a memorable location.
Truluck's was highly rated and it deserves every star. Superb cuisine as well as service. Stone crabs are signature dish and did not disappoint.
The great menu was only overshadowed by our waiter 'Brock" (aka Chris) who's voice sounds exactly like the comedian Norm McDonald. Brock also has a whole repertoire of Norm jokes which he politely asked whether we would like to hear and each time he brought a dish he tossed in a funny joke. He's great and who knew we would have dinner and a show"! Stone crabs were awesome, the Oysters were great and my grouper Pontchartrain was amazing.
The steak was delicious although it came out warm and not hot. We had to wait a long time for coffee service and when we finally got it it was terrible other than Mac the food was very nice when I complained about the coffee no manager came to help me or discuss the problem
From the moment our waiter came to the table until we left, our experience was fantastic. We have been going there for a few years for our anniversary and they make it truly special.
Our server (can't quite remember his name) was a fine gentleman. He helped me through the menu and helped me choose a fine bottle of wine for the night. I definitely look forward to coming back again. The steak was good (ordered the rib eye) and the mashed potatoes were phenomenal.
we were starting a cruise out of Miami so wanted to re visit Truelucks as we have been several times before
as usual, food and service were fabulous and lived up to our expectations
one small thing that marred the experience slightly was the over zealous use of air conditioning!!!
we are not used to it......especially when we had just flown in from chilly England!
Last weekend when we were in Miami, we decided to hit up Truluck’s. It wasn’t our first choice but we’re glad we ended up here instead. Joe’s Stone Crab was a complete mob scene and in no way were we desperate enough to wait more than two hours for a table. Or even an hour for that matter. In fact, I don’t believe in the hype of waiting for any restaurants. I don’t care how good you are, I’m simply not down for that. Anyway, Truluck’s ended up being the ideal spot for the night. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and quickly led to our table with spacious leather booth seating by the window. We were assigned to a waiter once we sat down. The menu was offered a wide array of seafood. Our waiter even brought over a tray displaying the fresh seafood offered for that day. I thought it was a nice touch. With that said, we then decided on the local Florida stone crab claws and Alaskan king crab legs for appetizers, the swordfish for him and South African lobster tails for me. Oh. My. GOD! This might be one of the best meals we’ve ever had! The sto plenty of generous meaon
We were here on a Friday night, with a friend from out of town. We had a great meal in the back of the restaurant which made for a nice evening. The noise level was not too high, so we were able to converse with our friend, who we hadn’t seen in a while. We had a gentleman by the name of David as our server. And despite our many requests, did a great job for us. We even laughed and joked about the amount of extra butter we asked for, and he told us that a gentleman from Atlanta actually holds the record there. Their shrimp cocktail is not to be missed,, and you can’t go wrong with any of the fish, or steak. All of our sides were delicious, and the Keylime pie was a homerun.
Great as usual - Brock was a fantastic waiter! Very knowledgeable!
Tried for 6:30 reservation. Not available, took 5:30. Called restaurant was told 6:00 or 6:3o was impossible. At restaurant noticed that from 6-7 there were 7 tables vacant. First must say service was excellent. However, three of the four people found the food to be awful. Stone crabs were mushy. Steaks were supposed to be 7 oz. were 4 oz at best. Were supposed to be medium and medium rare, came out very well done. Crab cakes were dry and hardly eaten. No one asked why. My wife’s fish yellowtail was very tasty. We have eaten numerous times at The Southlake, Texas location and numerous occasions at Naples, FL. Again, the server was very pleasant. This location will not be visited again or recommended.
Great service from entering the restaurant to dining. Happy hour was serviced well by staff. Great experience!
Best stone carbs ever!
Excellent dining and service. Perfect seafood selections for dinner, enjoyable cocktails and attentive service. Would highly recommend.
It was Valentine’s Day, my birthday and of course they were packed! We were seated late for reservation and it was at the door to kitchen. So we got to see all the wait staff go in and out a million times. Waiter was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Needless to say we did see him for a while and the drinks took forever. We eventually got our drinks and ordered. Now the good part. The oysters Rockefeller were great. The meals were really good. I had tuna rare and it was cooked correctly. My wife had a filet with crab on top. Our friends had scollops and stone crabs. Everyone enjoyed our meals! Service continued to be spotty but we didn’t care. We were in town for the Miami Boat Show and my birthday. Trulucks forgot to acknowledge my birthday as we requested on the reservation. No big deal. I have had lot’s of birthdays. Meal was expensive as expected, over $400 dollars for four but we knew as we ordered it! Too bad the service was poor because the food was delicious.
