Truluck's was highly rated and it deserves every star. Superb cuisine as well as service. Stone crabs are signature dish and did not disappoint.

The steak was delicious although it came out warm and not hot. We had to wait a long time for coffee service and when we finally got it it was terrible other than Mac the food was very nice when I complained about the coffee no manager came to help me or discuss the problem

Our server (can't quite remember his name) was a fine gentleman. He helped me through the menu and helped me choose a fine bottle of wine for the night. I definitely look forward to coming back again. The steak was good (ordered the rib eye) and the mashed potatoes were phenomenal.

Last weekend when we were in Miami, we decided to hit up Truluck’s. It wasn’t our first choice but we’re glad we ended up here instead. Joe’s Stone Crab was a complete mob scene and in no way were we desperate enough to wait more than two hours for a table. Or even an hour for that matter. In fact, I don’t believe in the hype of waiting for any restaurants. I don’t care how good you are, I’m simply not down for that. Anyway, Truluck’s ended up being the ideal spot for the night. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and quickly led to our table with spacious leather booth seating by the window. We were assigned to a waiter once we sat down. The menu was offered a wide array of seafood. Our waiter even brought over a tray displaying the fresh seafood offered for that day. I thought it was a nice touch. With that said, we then decided on the local Florida stone crab claws and Alaskan king crab legs for appetizers, the swordfish for him and South African lobster tails for me. Oh. My. GOD! We were here on a Friday night, with a friend from out of town. We had a great meal in the back of the restaurant which made for a nice evening. The noise level was not too high, so we were able to converse with our friend, who we hadn’t seen in a while. We had a gentleman by the name of David as our server. And despite our many requests, did a great job for us. We even laughed and joked about the amount of extra butter we asked for, and he told us that a gentleman from Atlanta actually holds the record there. Their shrimp cocktail is not to be missed,, and you can’t go wrong with any of the fish, or steak. All of our sides were delicious, and the Keylime pie was a homerun.

Tried for 6:30 reservation. Not available, took 5:30. Called restaurant was told 6:00 or 6:3o was impossible. At restaurant noticed that from 6-7 there were 7 tables vacant. First must say service was excellent. However, three of the four people found the food to be awful. Stone crabs were mushy. Steaks were supposed to be 7 oz. were 4 oz at best. Were supposed to be medium and medium rare, came out very well done. Crab cakes were dry and hardly eaten. No one asked why. My wife’s fish yellowtail was very tasty. We have eaten numerous times at The Southlake, Texas location and numerous occasions at Naples, FL. Again, the server was very pleasant. This location will not be visited again or recommended.

It was Valentine’s Day, my birthday and of course they were packed! We were seated late for reservation and it was at the door to kitchen. So we got to see all the wait staff go in and out a million times. Waiter was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Needless to say we did see him for a while and the drinks took forever. We eventually got our drinks and ordered. Now the good part. The oysters Rockefeller were great. The meals were really good. I had tuna rare and it was cooked correctly. My wife had a filet with crab on top. Our friends had scollops and stone crabs. Everyone enjoyed our meals! Service continued to be spotty but we didn’t care. We were in town for the Miami Boat Show and my birthday. Trulucks forgot to acknowledge my birthday as we requested on the reservation. No big deal. I have had lot’s of birthdays. Meal was expensive as expected, over $400 dollars for four but we knew as we ordered it! Too bad the service was poor because the food was delicious.

Just an off Valentine's day night. Food cold, ended up food service at different time.
Bar service extremely slow. The Mgr, very apologetic. Definitely off the list for high occupancy

The wait staff and sommelier were excellent. Was there with clients for insurance week.

The hostess/receptionist initially gave us the brush-off saying no tables available in the dinning room for the foreseeable future and to sit in the bar. Hopped on opentable and had a reservation for less than 10 minutes later. Walked up to let them know we were at the bar, and was immediately seated. And, appeared to be plenty of available tables. Never had that sort of disservice at a Truluks before.
