Seemed unorganized. Hostess not connected to seating arrangements or incoming guests. Bar area was full but only 3 tables were taken. Yet the hostess seemed overwhelmed and unable to answer easy questions about seating. Waiters and restaurant manager were available but advised that they had to check with the hostess who was difficult to locate
Stopped by last Friday night before going to a concert downtown.
The dinner portions seemed smaller and worst of all the carrot cake was no longer the best carrot cake. don't know if it was old or if the recipe changed, but we were disappointed.
The service was still very god, but when spending $236 for 2 people I'm not about them having an off night.
Celebrated our anniversary and everything was perfect. Great food and service!
Always a great experience
Everything was great - except for noise level. Piano guy in bar was so loud he buried conversations in the restaurant area. Nice touch with Asst Manager offering a separate welcome after we were seated and the call the next day as follow up to ensure we had a good experience.
Salmon and asparagus are fantastic. The best tasting salmon I have had. Being in S FL I wanted to eat one of the local fishes but since I am on the Whole 30 I had to abstain from some of the most desired items on the menu. Can’t wait to come back and try a few different things. Menu looked amazing. Great happy hour crowd at the bar with love music.
Great food and service
Desde la recepción hasta la cortesía del valet parking acorde al lugar elegido
La moza muy cortez explicada Plato que le preguntamos
La comida y el postre muy rico y excelente calidad de productos
Excellent food! Super nice service! The lobster bisque is the best I ever had. Thank you for making my night so special.
Could not recommend this restaurant enough!! The ambiance, attention to detail and the quality of the food was fantastic. The attention to service is spectacular. It was surprising when the server comes to your table for the first time and knows already your name!!
DELICIOUS! Stone crabs were awesome!! We ordered the Kung Pao cauliflower side dish.... it was AMAZING. I might have to try and make at home.
The best thing of the food was the dessert, food wasn’t great. I had the African lobster (weird taste), I’ve had way better & less expensive.
Excellent we went for my hubby's bday. All I have to say is its definitely a must try. Our new favorite spot!!
Beautiful decor, atmosphere, service and most of all food.
Great seafood and entrees. The service people are very friendly and nice.
Outstanding service and meal experience
First time service was very slow and inattentive. When they are busy for lunch, kitchen slows down too much.
Excellent ambience, service and food! Good wine list.
Just by indicating "Wedding anniversary" when I made the reservation on OpenTable, our table (one of the booths) had rose petals on it, and we received a complimentary Baked Alaska dessert, flambeed at the table. The service from our waiter, Mike, was superb, and the food was excellent. Had the Lobscargot appetizer (delicious) along with a bowl of the rich and creamy Lobster Bisque. Miso Glazed Sea Bass was excellently prepared and very enjoyable. The Red Snapper special was also very good, but higher priced than we had expected at $65 (which we didn't find out until the bill came). The piano player provided nice background music. Will definitely go back, especially for special occasions.
The lady at the entrance is, as usual exceptional.
A lunch experience stuck in time. Ponderous service including a formal show of dinner-priced seafood and "specials" ($60 top sirloin) with no sense of "lunch pace". Started with oysters ($19 for 6) that were small, chowder that required heavy seasoning and then no one in the party raved about their entree.
Overall, not a wow...perhaps a better experience at dinner but won't return for lunch.
Got the stone crab all you can eat menu, which is a lot of food! Overall a nice atmosphere and service was good.
Delicious food and great service. Went for the all you can eat Crab legs which was so good! Loved the ambiance and the live singer and musician!
Date night. Everything was perfect, the live music was beautiful.
Everything was perfect from the soft warm rolls to the chocolate cake dripping with chocolate sauce. One of the best meals we have ever had!
Mike our server did an excellent job guiding us through the menu .... portions were substantial and quality was very good
Great place for date night.
Absolutely gorgeous place with a fantastic seafood and service!
Let me first say that I visit the Tru Lucks location at the Galleria Mall in Broward many times and always walked away with a memorable experience (in a great way). That being said, this is my second experience at the Tru Lucks Miami location. The first time I went I ordered the same entree as I do at the Galleria location (Grouper Ponchetrain). It wasn’t quite as good as I remembered. The service wasn’t either. I went back again a week ago to give the Miami location another chance. I figured maybe it was a off day on my last visit and the food and experience should be the same right, it wasn’t by a long shot! I was with my wife and 2 other couples. One couple has been with us to the Galleria location several times. I made a reservation several days in advance. We arrived at the restaurant and were seated in a small back room in the corner, not in the main dining area. Our service seemed lacking for this type of restaurant (1 server). Our drinks and wine took a unusually long time to arrive (20 min). Then our food arrived and my entree and my friend’s wife’s entree were cold! We both ordered the same thing (Grouper Ponchetrain). We told the waitress and she said that she would take care of it. They just re-heated up our plates and the fish came out overdone. By that time, my other friends were almost done with their meals. I am not that picky of a eater but, I felt bad because this happened to my friend’s wife as well. I understand that sometimes these things happen but, this hasn’t happened at the other location. I spent over $700 for the dinner and would expect a perfect memorable experience for that kind of money. The restaurant called me the next day to ask how my experience was. I let them know my whole experience and expressed very clearly everything above. Still waiting for a manager to call me back. I am in the hospitality industry and understand how important customer service is for repeat business. I will NOT be going back to Tru Lucks!
Excelente lugar y comida!!!, me lo repito cada vez que estoy en Miami!!!
Very disappointing. Except for the stone crabs, everything else was way below the quality for the outrageous prices they charge. Our waiter, Jesús, really didn’t know much about the menu. He told us that the yellowtail was wild caught and my wife ordered it. Then we overheard another waiter tell his table that they didn’t have the yellowtail that evening and instead were offering halibut. When we asked our waiter he checked with the kitchen and indeed what they had was halibut. At they point my wife decided to accept it and it was just ok. I ordered the fresh catch of the day which our waiter describes as perfectly cooked fresh red snapper at $65 dollars. It was neither fresh nor perfectly cooked. The asparagus were stringy and the salad was average except for the price at $18. I do not recommend this place because all it is is expensive with sub-par food and service.
Can’t wait to go again! From the service to the food everything was great.
Perfect from beginning to end! Will return and recommend. Great vibes
Best seafood in Miami. Easy parking, great atmosphere. Good cocktails.
Carlos was outstanding!
Poor welcome and good buy, no happy faces. Poor value for the money, overpriced and very basic food creations.
Accompanied by another couple of "seasoned" fine diners with my husband and myself, we rolled the dice as if we were at a craps table by preparing to drop some cash on New Year's Day. I preface this in this fashion because we expected a sub-par experience considering a possible hungover, overworked staff. Our experience was the exact opposite. After feeling like they were still on their game, we went all out. The live music, ambiance, and service was perfect from entering, so we relaxed in our comfortable booth, letting any trepidation, or apprehension melt away with the aura of our server, and first bottle of wine. We enjoyed blue point oysters, calamari, lobstergot, and escargot to start. Everything was amazing, and we felt comfortable enough to go "all out" on our entrees, given quality and perfection of the preparation. I enjoyed the salmon, everyone else ordered steaks, at because we couldn't decide, we ordered the scallop entree for the table. We will all be raving about each and every dish for a very long time. Everything was better than expected, and we were so happy we took the chance. Steaks were cooked perfectly, and every side was delectable. I'm much too full and satisfied to go into details, but I'm sure anyone would be super happy to have any plate in front of them. We will be returning very soon. Hopefully next time we'll save room for dessert.
The ribeye steak was very tough.
really enjoyed our time.
excellent food and service.
