Food is excellent. Stone crab and the surf n turf are both amazing!

Usually eat the salmon, she says it the freshest in town. Always perfectly cooked to very very rare.

I ordered the salmon, was very bland with almost no flavor whatsoever. The asparagus was just as bland, I don't think they've heard of salt and pepper, but that's just my take. The glasses smelled like dishwater; I thought it was the tap water, so I ordered bottled water and the smell was still in the new glass. Doesn't make you want to drink out of any of their glasses and made me question the plates too. Gross! Service was great, ambiance was decent.

Service was great. Food was hit and miss. The Steak was a little dry and not well seasoned to my liking as well as the Spinach. The other items was spot on.

It was our anniversary and when we got there they put rose petals on our table and gave us a complimentary dessert! Our waiter was extraordinary! A very wonderful first experience and we will definitely be back! The food was to die for as well! Everything was amazing! Thank you

The food and staff are always fabulous. One of the few places in Houston serving stone crab!

We had impeccable service. They were accommodating, attentive and the food was spot on. The halibut was delicious as were the crab claws. Everything came out hot and the steak was cooked to perfection! It’s always a pleasure to dine here.

Always have had good luck here; Raoul has taken good care of us the last few times we have visited. Also, all the staff signed a card wishing us happy anniversary, and provided a nice baked alaska dessert to celebrate. Nice touches.

I can not say enough about trulucks! Wow!! From the live music, to the food, to the waitstaff it was all done over the top.
The live music was wonderful. Not too loud and friendly for all ages. The food was plated beautifully and tasted even better. Our server paired drinks and his recommendations were PERFECT. The ambiance was beautiful, yet not over done. It was very romantic.
Now, my favorite part was our server Raul. I recommend him HIGHLY. He truly made the evening perfect. His knowledge on food and wine made the evening go smoothly. He was so so attentive and never missed a beat. We must’ve been there for at least 2 and a half hours and we never felt rushed. When you go, I highly recommend requesting him!

The best seafood, especially Crab in Texas hands down. You can tell their King Crab is had picked from their own catch.

Our server,Rose, was wonderful and the steaks were really good. The oysters Rockefeller was a very generously sized. The chocolate bag dessert was big enough to share.

What can I say except the Stone Crab were a "HOME RUN". The service was excellent. The noise level was moderate, but tolerable. Most of the main entries were very good. The King Crab Legs for $75 was not up to standard. It was very string and mushy which indicates that it was old. If I had known that the King Crab Legs were going to be OLD I would have had the Stone Crab as my main course. Lobster was excellent and the fish was very good also.

Everything was amazing. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs- we left quite full and happy. The oysters Rockefeller were the best I've ever had. The poblano soup was good and the lobster bisque was even better. I had the stuffed lobster tail and my husband had the salmon. Both were amazing!!! We were celebrating our anniversary so they made us feel so special with rose petals and a surprise dessert. We loved every second and can't wait to go back!!

This 'old Houston standard' is still one of the best seafood restaurants in Houston.

Always enjoy Truluck’s. We’ve dined at locations in Houston, Austin, and Dallas and never been disappointed.

Super nice and awesome food.

All was good when we arrived. We were seated and attended on quickly. Dinner was served within reasonable time. Then dinner was over and we waited a very long time for the check and longer for our card and receipt, about 45 min. To get it back and couldn't get the attention of our server.
When she brought it, she gave us another table's receipt. So all good till and hour to get out.

The dinner was very good - the service was very slow and got worse as the evening went on.

Way overpriced for subpar food

We've eaten here four times in the past six months. With one exception, we've always been seated near the kitchen. Not sure what the deal is. Next time we'll request another location in the restaurant. Also, each time the service has been the only negative, with waitstaff appearing distracted or sort of abrupt and a little slow. But, the food is outstanding and we'll keep coming back.

Everything was amazing!

Our server Ann was exceptional. 3 of us shared 5 crab claws that tasted like they came of the boat the same morning.
When we finished the claws it was mostly salads, all we could add to the meal we were so full. This is a great place, quiet, soft music,
great service! Highly recommend it to anyone wanting a fine meal in a peaceful environment. WAPII

Expensive, but really good food. Can't afford to go their often, but always a good experience when I do.

Wife’s birthday - and I picked well. The service and food were terrific. We both had the stuffed lobster tails and loved them. The baked Alaska for dessert was amazing! We will definitely be back here.

The staff was exceptional, my wife and I were celebrating our sixth wedding anniversary and we treated like royalty !!! Our waiter Keith was very knowledgeable and patient during our dining experience. Our table was adorned with rose petals and it really impressed us with the added special touch. The food was amazing and service was awesome !!! Hats off to the staff at Truluck’s for an awesome experience !!! Will definitely be back !!!

All was very good. If anything, we think the wine serving temperature should be managed more carefully. Both our Pinot Noir and our Merlot were warm.

Excellent food. My fish came out a little cold but it was so tasty I just kept eating.

Birthday - this place is a Must if you aré into stone crab

The food was everything I have come to expect from Truluck's . Our server was nice enough, but seemed a bit off or even annoyed/distracted (for lack of a better term) when waiting on my table of two women. For instance, he displayed the crab claws to the table next to us when suggesting them as an appetizer, but we had to ask to be shown the various sizes. The restaurant wasn't very busy as it was an early lunch reservation, so I can't put my finger on a reason for the vibe I felt from my server. The final disappointment was when I went to eat my carrot cake, which was ordered to go, and did NOT have the praline pecans (a major selling feature for me). I shouldn't have to ask for a standard item. To my server's credit, he did appropriately recognize my birthday. It was an absolutely beautiful Chamber of Commerce day and I did not let my day be tanked. Tainted, but not tanked!
