Selected several Houston restaurants to try.
Truluck’s was absolutely the best!
The Lobstergot on the Menu is a MUST! Service is superb although a little slow after the Salad. Very highly recommended.
Family in town together
Great service, the waiter was the bes!!
Celebrating Thanksgiving and a Birthday
Great service and great food
I’ve lived in Houston since 1994 and this meal was hands down the very best I’ve had since moving here.
We made the mistake of ordering the “Thanksgiving Dinner”. It was terrible. Swanson’s TV dinner would be comparable. We had it boxed up and left the restaurant.
Moreover, the menu that Truluck’s had posted online indicated that the dinner would have a choice of entrees, turkey and prime rib. Not so, it was just turkey roll and not real turkey.
We have been to Truluck’s many times and enjoyed it. This time is it was simply awful!
Third time in 6 weeks. Love this restaurant. Everything is good - the service, the food, the ambiance, the bread, and even the coffee.
Don’t understand why any food place would take so long to bring you drinks you have ordered. Found the happy hour piano guy was loud in the main restaurant, can’t imagine how he was in the bar
The food was good. The service was fair. Overall, not a horrible experience but not great.
Was probably the nicest birthday dinner I’ve ever had! Cannot wait to come back again!!
Everything about the restaurant was amazing. It was a great to celebrate our anniversary!
Service, food, and atmosphere are outstanding. Not crazy about the live music in the bar that carries over into the dining room. Also, wish they’d install some type of window covering so that cars’ headlights don’t blind diners. But, with the excellent service and food, we’ll keep coming back! Did I mention they have the best crab anywhere?
Awesome experience and food was great.
Food was great and service impeccable. Our server Raul was the best. First time trying and most definitely will be returning.
As usual, Rose was very attentive to our table and made the celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary outstanding. All of Truluck's personnel made for a very enjoyable evening.
Truluck’s doesn’t disappoint. Everything is top-notch: the service, the presentation of the food, the quality of the food, the bread, the coffee, everything. For our appetizers, I ordered the ceviche which was fabulous and my partner had a bowl of clam chowder. Our entrees were swordfish and sea bass. For dessert, Truluck’s brought a baked Alaska for my partner’s birthday. We loved everything and will come back.
Service was outstanding. We ordered the sea bass and Redfish potchatrain with the calamari as a starter. Will definitely be going back at some point, not too soon as it’s quite an expensive restaurant
It’s a favorite haunt in Houston or Boca. It is stone crab season and they didn’t disappoint— jumbos that were great. Loved the candelabras this time as the low lighting was as warm and romantic. The live music played softly in the background and it was perfect! Love this restaurant... our entire party agreed it was best experience in Houston!
Nikki was great. The manager came by and introduced himself, and congratulated us. Everyone made our first wedding anniversary celebration extra special, and they had rose petals on the table upon our arrival. Excellent!
Another great meal.... The stone crab is always a hit.... And the service is always giid
Filet had a crust that was wayyy to salty, so i left it on the plate
Salad was good (sonoma) but the glass of prosecco i ordered was not cold
We had a great experience celebrating my mother's birthday at Truluck's. Our waiter, Rich, was outstanding. He really made the evening enjoyable. The stone crab claws were amazing. Great experience!
One of my favorite restaurants by far! Amazing service and even better food!
Service was sub par from what we’re accustomed to at this restaurant. Server seemed to have too many tables
We were so excited to have our first Florida stone crab claw dinner of the season, but I guess we went too soon. They lacked their usual sweet flavor and were somewhat dry & “pithy.” My husband & I each ordered the platter of large stone crabs (which have gone up in price from last year), but were very disappointed in their taste. Our salads were delicious though. Our waiter seemed rushed & acted like he really didn’t want to wait on us. My husband even pointed out to me that the waiter always served him before me, be it wine, pepper for our salads, etc. That has never happened before at Truluck’s or at any of the numerous other restaurants we frequent.
I hope this was just a one-time occurrence as we really want to come back for a tasty stone crab meal and the great service Truluck’s usually provides.
We have been here several times but always for dinner. Although we still enjoyed our meal..my son’s steak was over cooked. He ordered med rare, but it came out medium and it was his birthday too! He was disappointed! The rest of our food came out as expected.
Great Food as always but the service from the waitress Anne is always the BEST.
