Great Food as usual. Stone crabs were meaty and tasty
My salmon was amazing and the Hubs redfish was excellent
Fabulous food! Sensational service! We LOVE dining at Truluck’s. One of our favorite places!
Overall the experience was good. We have dined here many times and the experience has always been exceptional. This experience was good, but not quite the same as our previous experiences. it was the evening before Easter Sunday and maybe the experience was over shadowed by a large holiday, but not what I expected. The food and service was good, but not exceptional.
Very good food and outstanding service.
The customer service was above and beyond.
Great service from entering the restaurant to leaving the restaurant. The food was delicious. The management staff was attentive and went above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience.
Good to Excellent food and service but way too expensive for the value. Also, the lobster bisque was not as described: there was neither go cheese no more horseradish in it
Loved the live piano music! The popover bread was delicious and airy. We enjoyed our meal from start to finish. A wedge salad, bone-in ribeye with a crab topper, and glorious mashed potatoes. Service was polite, prompt, and engaging. As we were there visiting family members, lots of “catching up” occurred. Our servers gave us room to enjoy our meal and conversation without being overbearing or absent. It was a lovely evening.
We were surprised to find such an affordable lunch menu. The selections were ample as were the portions. Everyone left with a doggie bag. Delicious food with impeccable service every time I visit.
From the minute you walk in the customer service level is tops. The staff was friendly, the food was top notch, and our server Eric made this a great experience. The added bonus was the music (live piano) that played in the background. A great experience!
By far the BEST seafood in Houston! So fresh and delicious! Wonderful experience!
Immediately walk in the door and 4 different people greeted us and shook our hands. Was a bit over the top for me. We had a fabulous table and nice live music playing. Cocktails were great and our waitress was fantastic! It went down hill from there related to the food.
The Salt & Peter Calamari had no seasoning! We were expecting something and it came with small pieces of calamari and lots of sautéed vegetables. The sweet Asian sauce was like you could get from a jar, the other one was unique and better.
Our salad was tasty, but the crab fried rice had very little crab and we split the scallops which were 8 small scallops and half of them had no seer on them. They were still very white with no caramelization.
This was our first to Truluck’s as we heard great things about it and were underwhelmed for the price. Might try again in Austin as everyone has off nights but was a damper on our Friday night date night.
Fish was way too rare - shipped from Siberia I was told by Rose. Restaurant had mildew smell. Waitress Rose was very nice. Food over priced. Need to have tap beer. Bottles only. My wife did not like taste of her order either. Even with the decent reviews you always take a risk trying out a new place. 1.5 to 2 stars.
We expect a better taste on fish
I enjoyed my evening out it was relaxing a very nice atmosphere the entertainment and food was great.
Wow! Simply tremendous. The dinner was to die for. Without a doubt the Wife & I felt this is the best seafood restaurant in Houston. She had the hot n' crunch trout with a side of mashed potatoes with lobster, while I had the red fish pontchartrain - Delicious! The ambiance was amazing and the service was exceptional. We will 100% be back to try all the other dishes Trulucks offers.
Great service, food presentation was great. Will definitely return
Truly excellent restaurant, with a wonderful chef and outstanding food, and justifiably famous for their stone crab! However, the service could be better. Our waiter brought our dinner before we finished our salads, we had to ask twice for hot butter instead of their mustard dip, and there was quite some confusion on the dessert!
Food was great, great taste and great service. I will definitely come back
Unbelievably expensive, even for the quality. Great food tho.
FOOD AND SERVICE ARE ALWAYS TOP NOTCH. ROSE OUR SERVER IS GREAT.
I have been to other Truluck locations and the food was much better. Food was average at this location. I was initially sat at one table and then moved to a different one.
Truluck’s was very good from start to finish, it is always, consistently very good
It was all first class! My favorite spot to impress my potential customers and current clients.
Incredible experience, the staff and food were amazing! Thank you for such great hospitality, I enjoyed my special treat for my birthday. Will definitely be back!
Truluck's is a great place to dine for any occasion. The staff is very friendly and make you feel at home.
Wife’s Birthday she wanted to get some stone crab. Fantastic dining experience from the time and were greeted to being seated manage came right over. Raoul our Very professional and fantastic server was right there answering any and all questions made the experience that much more enjoyable took his time did not rush us treated us like we were the only ones there.
Wonderful very fresh seafood. The crab is outstanding. Anyway you want it. You will always find it fabulous. Thank you for a wonderful dinner. Hillary was our waitress and was just fabulous.
We can always expect great food and wonderful service.
The food was great! Great restaurant for a gathering with friends.
I sat at the bar , the piano player was wonderfully good. The service was spotty at times but they made up for it once the food arrived .
The menu is compact and the wine list extensive...
Our experience at this restaurant was very good and we would highly recommend it to others. The menu choices are very good and the presentation on three different entrees were excellent. Service was good and very tasty food. This is on par with other restaurants in the area
Dinner was great. Raul did a fantastic job serving us. I’ll definitely be back.
The place was packed at 715... it must have been for the Monday -All You Can Eat... the noise level was too loud for us to hear our server - she did have a soft voice and it did not carry - but my parents could t hear anything.
I do like the candelabras that are added for larger tables.
I did participate in the All You Can Eat and was not disappointed (except for not beating the 42 High). My other diners enjoyed their fish selections very much. The only disappointment was the Filet. It’s was not very tasty and a bit chewy.
I do appreciate the Baked Alaska for celebrating my bday (miss the Carrot Cake that used to be offered ).
I did notice they are trying to make some nice changes in presentation etc- all really nice.
Great overall experience. The crabs and service was exceptional
