Trulucks made our anniversary special. Service was exceptional and our anniversary occasion was recognized several times.
The service was horrible.
It took over an hour to get food. We were told the kitchen backed up but the place was empty!
Service was impeccable but unfortunately food not so much
We were very happy with our meal and service at Trulucks! Food was delicious especially the oysters,, they even gave us a happy anniversary desert which was a fantastic baked alaska!
very nice place and definetly will be going bacK!
Great wine selection. Live music was good, they were out of the fresh crab claws, which I planned to order. I had the South African lobster tails. It wasn't mind blowing like the price tag would suggest, but it was still a nice experience, sweet meat and a slight texture difference. I didn't like the kumamoto oysters. Thought I had had them before somewhere else and liked them, but somehow I didn't really like these. I ended up ordering the oysters since they were out of the crab as an appetizer. Waiter was ok, somehow managed to keep filling the water glasses, but didn't pay any attention to refilling my wine glass from the bottle we purchased. My mom loved their lobster bisque, and the others ordered off the prix fixe menu and enjoyed it. The portion sizes on the prix fix menu are smaller.
We were celebrating our twentieth anniversary. The service, food and the live entertainment was great.
Great food and service, went for a birthday / bachelor party and everyone in our party of 8 had a great time.
Always good, sometimes exceptional. This past Saturday night for my wife's 60th birthday, from the bread through wine and filet while finishing with a complimentary Baked Alaska, just delicious.
The lobster bisque was exceptional, as well as the tuna dish with parmesan mashed potatoes. The creme brûlée was excellent. The trout almandine was a bit dry without the sauce, but was still good. I asked the server if I could order the oysters Rockefeller, (I am gluten-free due to celiac disease), but the waitress said no. She stated the béarnaise sauce had gluten in it and the chef wouldn't like the presentation without it. At such a high-end restaurant I was shocked they wouldn't alter a dish to accommodate a food allergy. I didn't ask for total redo of the dish, just with one fewer ingredient. I won't be back, but it has pretty good food and a nice ambience.
We love Truluck’s at all locations. They never disappoint in every aspect!
This was our first experience at Trulucks and we will definitely be back again!
Always a great outing when I go to this restaurant, either with friends or my significant other.
The food and service are always excellent. Every single time. Admittedly we get the same things, Hothouse tomatoes, king crab legs, and South African lobster tails. Truluck’s does not disappoint.
This place always pleases us. Music was back to a good volume again.
Eat here a lot and am never disappointed. Management and Staff are ever vigilant, and the service is superb.
This visit was for my wife's birthday. Our son and daughter and I took her to her favourite restaurant, had a great booth and really excellent service. Everyone wished her happy birthday and made the night really special with a free birthday desert. Luis was our waiter and was fabulous. Truluck's continues to be our go to restaurant when everything needs to be perfect.
Food was fantastic. Plus our waiter Steve delivered great service along with a fun, engaging personality.
We had a very good experience at Truluck’s and will definitely dine there again. There is live music in the bar area nightly ( I think). The service was excellent, and the food was great. The manager John and the entire staff seems to work very well together.
The ambience and food was great however the waiter did not get us what we ordered. I think the party of 8 was too much for him as some food we did not get and others the orders were not correct. We had to share side items even though we ordered multiple side food items.
I was disappointed with my experience. First we were sat at the darkest table at the restaurant. We could not even read the menu. I asked to move and we were moved to a better location. My meal had crab friend rice which tasted old. My husband had the steak with blue cheese topping which was way too much and overpowered the steak. Overall not a great experience
It was my first visit to celebrate my wife’s B-Day. Absolutely a fantastic evening of service, cuisine, atmosphere, and a fair price for crab. A happy hour on a Saturday was a bonus and a complimentary baked Alaska desert for my wife was another bonus. The restaurant even called me the following day to inquire about our previous evening. That is the ultimate in customer service. A pleasant surprise and a return trip to Truluck’s is a definite for us in the very near future.
I love Trulucks. I have been here several times, the experience is always wonderful.
Great salmon. Great food. Great service. Pricey though.
This has had to be the greatest service my wife and I have ever received at a restaurant. They start off with their purified water and they ask you how you would like to infuse the water. You get to pick from fresh cucumbers to oranges, lemons or limes.
My wife and I went for our anniversary and everyone at the restaurant was congratulating us. They even laid out rose petals at our table for the occasion.
Shannon was our server and she was a pure delight. The servers at this location are not your typical servers found at other establishments. These servers are very professional and extremely well knowledged in their craft and the menu. For example, Shannon brought out the type of crabs, oysters and lobster the restaurant was serving and went as far as explaining the region in which they were caught.
We started with the shellfish platter for two and it was the first time I had tried oysters and it was delicious! Then our second course was a cup of lobster bisque which they pour right at the table.
I had the sword fish with mashed potatoes and my wife order the miso glazed sea bass and the taste was out of this world. Best cuts of fish we have ever had at any restaurant.
The last surprise was when Shannon showed up with a complimentary dessert from the restaurant. It’s called their “Burning Alaska” if I’m not mistaken and they literally set the dessert on fire in front of you.
Our water glasses were never empty since as soon as it was half way consumed, Shannon or the staff would refill our glasses.
Thank you everyone at Truluck’s in Fort Lauderdale for making our anniversary so very special. We will definitely be going back over and over again.
Fantastic dining experience overall! Food was superb and lovely presentation. Our server was dedicated to making our anniversary dinner a memorable one. The gifted Baked Alaska was a very nice touch. We will definitely be back!
Very attentive service. Knowledgeable servers. Great seafood. Good cocktails. Cozy romantic chill atmosphere.
Went for our anniversary. Rose petals on our table & the hostess wished us a happy anniversary when she sat us
Always great food
Service was impeccable, food was delicious. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion. Enjoy!
A friend I grew up with was in town on business and I wanted him to really enjoy a fine, upbeat restaurant. I’ve been to Trulucks before and loved it. He was beyond impressed and plans to return to Trulucks. The food, staff, music,ambiance...everything was 5 Star!
Food was great, I ordered the sea bass, Solomon dinners, they were tasty, prices high, but worth it.
Great evening - very good food. Try the dessert sampler!
Always a pleasure to eat at Truluck's my first experience was the best. The valet guy didn't open the doors this go round. But once imside it was all forgotten. Service is superb. We Will continue dine with them.
Since eating here I am spoiled. The staff, the host, the chefs, all
Professionals. Service was outstanding as was the food prep and presentation. All restaurants I have eaten at since, regardless of reputation and quality just don’t stack up as equal. They all fall short in some way or other.
Great food and value!
Amazing place never disappoints , everyone is sooo nice and our waiter was AMAZING !!!
Music was louder than usual making it difficult to have a good conversation
Excellent Excellent Excellent service! Worthy of 6 out of 5 stars. Food was so delicious. They decorated our table for the special occasion(birthday/anniversary) and give a free sweet treat.
The service was above and beyond. The food was very good. I had the crab claws and I enjoyed them but would have preferred if they did not have so many small pieces of shells. The lobster bisque was delicious and the desserts were all amazing.
Thanks for a delightful birthday dinner.
A beautiful restaurant! We had crab and lobster. Enjoyed but it was not the best seafood we have had in Fort Lauderdale. Kind of bland compared to other restaurants we ate at during our vacation.
