Took my husband for his birthday and we were met by confetti on the table an absolutely spectacular service. We had always wanted to go and truly worth the wait.
We have been there on several occasions and its always perfect. The phone call before and after is an added plus touch. The only thing I feel is the prices are getting a bit full of themselves. Other than that PERFECT.
Always great food and service at any location. Very consistent.
Good food but overpriced. Staff was attentive, wine list good.
Great restaurant with excellent service. Joe the server was very attentive. We were there for a birthday celebration.
Food was below average and service was poor. Waitress was not at all attentive. Over priced for the value. Would not recommend this restaurant.
Over all meal was good steak I would not order again and the Sea bass was good I can get the same thing at J Mark's only less expensive and the steak would have been better there
Javier is someone who knows what’s going on at all times, will stop and have a conversation with you and never miss a beat at the bar! True and genuine professional, we would go back for that alone, but the food is also amazing!
Service was not the best considering it was a very slow night . Server wasn’t very attentive or offered us drinks:(
And meals took a while .
This place is wonderful. Everything on the menu is delicious, and service is impeccable. Happy hour at the bar before dinner is great!
Ella added to a great dinner.
We wanted a good dinner with good service after a hectic weekend. We were not disappointed. Excellent cocktails, seafood and service.
Hostess was rude, we introduced ourselves and she immediately told us there were no openings until later. We had a reservation 😊. After acknowledging the reservation she said we would be seated at exactly out time. Seated 15 minutes after. Person who brought us to our table left no menus. 8-10 minutes after seating we got water. Had to ask for bread. Waitress did a good job recovering. The front of the house along with the numerous men in suits walking around looking important failed miserably. Same thing happened the last time we went but thought it might have changed. With Capitol Grille next door it’s a no brainer! Oh, and the time it takes the waitstaff to explain the desserts in the tray they lug around you another round of tables throughout could have been served.
The ambiance is always great and the food is generally excellent. Service was outstanding except at the bar which was unusual. Overall an excellent evening.
We had a spectacular anniversary dinner here. We split the house chopped salad; more than enough for two and the horseradish Caesar dressing was amazing. Main courses were stone crab claws and Grouper Pontchartrain. we also ordered a side of the crab fried rice, which was unnecessary but so good we had to keep eating.
Wine list, especially wines by the glass, was way above average, including some very good wines that will not break the bank. Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing.
A very memorable dining experience; would definitely eat here again.
Excellent service and food. Everyone in our party enjoyed the evening. I look forward to dining here again.
Went there specifically for the 1 nite special king crab Dinner with crab fried rice and glass of Spanish champagne. Waiter was not aware of special meal, until I showed him the Turlock email picture. Advertised picture of meal showed 4 leg crab cluster but 2 smaller legs were served, but meal was advertised as a 1# meal. Felt the king crab was dry and over cooked and thus hard to out of the shell in larger pieces. Legs were pre split lengthwise, if that was done before cooking that might account for dryness.
Nice place good food. Happy hour prices to 7:30 pm. Entertainment in bar was good but made it quite noisy if you ate there...the dining room isn't as much fun but better if you want to talk and don't want to sit on bar chairs. The carrot cake was wonderful but would feed 4. Server forgot our wine until we asked half way through our main course. $10 for valet parking is too much.
Tasty steaks, correctly grilled, and some good sides. Extensive wine list, moderately-priced.
We sat outdoors facing a somewhat busy street, but it was pleasant. (Indoors there was a very loud singer.)
We had a fantastic evening. The food was excellent. Enjoyed the music in the bar with an after dinner drink. Would recommend.
I loved everything but the prime rib eye steak , It would be ok if it wasn't advertised as prime it was one of the worst prime pieces of steak
I ever had, I only eat prime meat when I eat out
I never eat steak at a restaurant unless it's prime
the lobster tail was very good , service was very good , dessert was very good, we had the
Sampler three different desserts
the half moon booths were great with the lighting just on the table very well designed
Cut down on the overall noise so you could talk
And hear having a 88 yr old woman and two
63 yr olds made it very nice .
So in closing maybe they ran out of prime meat but they need to do something about the Ribeye steak because right next door at another restaurant
The night after I had the same dinner
And it was perfect.
Not only was our meal with friends far below what it should have been, but our server was terrible. Salad was asked to be dressed VERY LIGHTLY. It came swimming in dressing. Left untouched. Waiter took it away and didn’t even ask why it wasn’t eaten. From that it went downhill. Someone called the next day to ask if I was happy the previous night. When I returned the call I never heard back again
We usually have a good experience here, but this time the service wad lacking. I'm really patient when it comes to timing, but the server took forever to get our drink order, so long that I told everyone to order their food with the drinks just in case. We normally like to have the drinks before we order. Our food also came out luke warm, we didn't want to say anything because we were starving and had already been there so long.
My 1st time dining at Trulucks was excellent. The hostess, the waitress and the staff was very welcoming. I was surprised when I received a follow up phone call the next day about the service and experience. The food was delicious! I just I’ll most definitely be dining there again soon.
It had been about 4 years since I'd dined at Truluck's. My 2 experiences back then were awesome, so when I "wanted to impress" I chose Truluck's. Some of the things I thought set Truluck apart were the crab cakes (you had disclaimer on website about the crasb due to Hurricane Harvey), the ambiance and the live piano.
Arrived at 4:30, went to the bar until dining room opened at 5.....no piano playing. While dining, I suspect where I sat (my choice) may have had something to do with me not being able to hear the piano. I asked why the piano wasn't playing and was told it was playing. In hindsight...maybe we should have eaten in the bar area closer to the piano.
As for the food, it was a little bit better than ok. The cream spinach needed help:0).
My date had to send his steak back because it was overcooked. His fault, in my estimation. He ordered well done, then medium well..both were too well done for his taste. So I taught him to order medium next time. Might I suggest a "rubric" on the menu indicating how steaks look cooked at the different levels of "doneness".
Last but definitely NOT least, the manger, hostess and our server were SPECTACULAR!!!!
I had a wonderful evening. My wife and I enjoyed the music and entertainment as well as the great service. Keep up the good work!
It took 1.5 hours to get bread which comes with the meal. It took another 3/4 of an hour to get our meals. My husband had the Filet Mignon w/ mashed potatoes which was freezing. My scallops and hash browns were just warm. MY husband returned his meal, it took another 15 minutes to get another steak. Obviously by the time my husband's meal came, I was well into my meal which was now cold! The food itself was delicious! My scallops were succulent and my husband says his steak was wonderful when he finally got it!!!! The entertainment was very good but the waitress was very unprofessional which is why all these problems happened.
The best dining experience ever. From the time we walked through the door to the time we left, everything was just perfect. Joe, our waiter was spot on. The food was amazing and the seared scallops are to die for. We were celebrating a new job, and Joe surprised us with a delicious flaming baked Alaska with congratulations written on the plate. Start to finish we couldn’t have asked for more.
It was an excellent experience like always! Will be back!
Everything was great! I took my family there and everyone loved it. The call the next day to ensure I had a great experience was nice touch. We will be back again.
Very good food but the dining room was very cold
Wonderful meal and out waitress was absolutely fabulous. Stone crab claws and jumbo crab leg was delicious. Also has sea bass and tuna that were fabulous would definitely go back!!! Desserts are massive but well worth trying.
Everything was so salty. Even shrimp cocktail without the sauce was somehow salted. Crab fried rice was super salty. Oscar filet was salty.
Overall it was great we would definitely dine there again and easily recommend it.
We really lucked out when we found this place! We were on a beach/hockey game vacation, and we just wanted to go someplace where we'd need to wear the dresses we'd packed. We were a little put off by its location at the Galleria, but shouldn't have been — it was as nice as any steak house I've ever been to. Classic red leather half-circle booths, dark wood, live easy-listening cover band playing at the bar (but not too loudly), and the requisite giant fish on the walls.
Our waitress, Ella, is a real pro. From the moment she greeted us, we knew we were in good hands. She knew everything about the food and drinks, starting us with the amazing Red Door cocktail, and making perfect wine suggestions (with tastings) for the meal. I had the house chopped salad, and that could have been the meal. We each ordered a filet, and they melted in your mouth. The delicious parmesan mashed potatoes are the house side for everything, with additional sides à la carte. We had the cream corn, which was like none we'd ever tasted — incredible.
I wish we'd had room for dessert, and we almost ordered some anyway — word is that the carrot cake is the best anywhere, and who wouldn't want to try something called the Chocolate Bag? We'll definitely be returning when we're in Fort Lauderdale again — looking forward to it already!
It was wonderful. Everything excellent! Crab amazing. Service also very very good.
Bravo! Our new favorite restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale!
Amazing, attentive staff.
Splurged on the king crab legs and they were "dreamy".
Sat at a red leather corner table and had a very romantic and delicious meal.
Order the "bag" dessert - nothing like it on the face of the earth.
