I had a blast birthday dinner, very tasty, love this place
Tracy was wonderful and the food was amazing!
Amazing service and great food...definitely going back.
Perfect! Made the birthday celebration so special, even baked Alaska for dessert! To top it off, they called the next day to ask how it was.
Fabulous. Yummy. All you can eat crabs were spectacular.
Poor service. Long wait time fo r appetizer and desert when restaurant was empty. Waiter was courteous
Every element of the experience is designed with you the consumer in mind. I selected the restaurant based on the menu, which did not disappoint. However the ambience and quality of service by the entire staff added to a very pleasurable experience for my wife and I. We both had seafood dishes, but the aroma of the steaks passing by almost had us second guess, but definitely a big motivator to return.
Great food service and kind and diverse servers
We had company in town for the Thanksgiving holiday, so we made our reservations at Trulucks for our celebration. Our server was excellent and helped us make gluten free choices for two in our party. Our experience was wonderful, as usual. Trulucks is our go to place for holidays as the staff and food never disappoint.
We visited Trulucks for the first time and realized on a Holiday it may or may it be up to its potential. Upon entering the hostess was very pleasant and we were seated at the time of our reservations. The atmosphere was very nice and so we figured we would be good to go. From that point on the entire experience was disappointing. Our waiter was not welcoming and not attentive. He took our orders and his style was very rushed. All six of us received cold food. When we asked for some hot gravy to try and remedy, cold gravy was brought and only two small servings. The family style sides were not enough for a table of six. None of the six finished their meals. We looked forward to the dessert and I can honestly say all six said it was the worst Pumpkin pie they every consumed. Needless to say the dessert was just left there. We didn’t say anything because we figure it’s a holiday and we chalked it up to experience. The next day the Restaurant proactively called. I asked them if they wanted to know the truth because I’m not one for complaining. They said yes. They told me to expect a call from the General Manager. I’m still waiting. LOL. Would we go back? Nope. They lost their opportunity.
Best steak I have ever had. Great service, great atmosphere. I had to leave a nice tip for the server since he surpassed my customer service standards and expectations. I will definitely go back.
We had a great experience at Trulocks. We truly enjoyed the food and the service.
This was my first experience at Truluck’s. Some of my close friends and other members of my dinner party rave about this place, so I had pretty high expectations. The service was impeccable and not a detail was forgotten. I even appreciated the tray of citrus slices for my ice water-with choices of not just lemon or lime but included orange and cucumber! My filet was cooked to perfection and my steak toppings were divine. Other members of my party delighted in partaking of the shellfish specialties. It was really nice how the service was both unobtrusive and also attentive. Our delightful waitress even gave me an excellent idea for my leftovers (including my dessert). We had the carrot cake, Baked Alaska and the Chocolate Bag for dessert. They were all delicious...BUT I loved the Chocolate Bag! It was big enough to share with at least four people. The presentation of all the food was artful and very enjoyable. The following day, the Restaurant even called to inquire about our experience. Truluck’s is definitely a place I’ll be visiting again and again.
We went to Trulucks to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived early for our reservation and was seated right away. Our server Andrew was fantastic. Very attentive and provided great service. We enjoyed the small touches such as rose pedals on the table and the baked Alaskan dessert. We enjoyed the live music and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. I had the Australian lobster tail and my wife had the surf and turf. We both enjoyed our meal so much we ate all of it! We will definitely be back.
Just a side note, valet parking on the weekends is $10, kind of steep, not sure if this is Truluck's offering or the shopping centers. Would be great to have free valet for eating at the restaurant.
We loved our evening at Truluck’s. It was too expensive even for a wonderful collection of all the parts. For three people who didn’t order a bottle of wine (3 cocktails and three glasses of wine) our bill was almost $700. It’s over the top. 4 jumbo crab claws at 120 per, two sides and a dozen oysters. You tell me...
The waitstaff was excellent. The food was excellent. The room was, as always, atmospheric and excellent. But $700. Is just too much.

Outstanding service and food from start to finish. This was for our team holiday dinner and everyone had a great time and enjoyed the meal immensely. An unforgettable dinning experience with such friendly, considerate and funny staff! (I will always remember the Baked Alaska, so delicious!) It's a place that ticked all the boxes: Food, Service, Ambience. Love the classic feel of the restaurant! You have the BEST staff work at your Fort Lauderdale location. Definitely putting Truluck's on the top of my list when I have visitors from out of town.
The food and the service was amazing! We had a good time.
Although it was appropriate and appreciated when the dessert was removed from our bill, it didn’t excuse the two errors (out of five food items) that occurred: The side dish of broccoli was extremely overcooked; and the coffee was not tasty at all. When we replied to the restaurant survey and mentioned these issues, the manager was quick to call me. He had an explanation for the broccoli (some other guests had requested that the broccoli needed to be cooked much more...and the kitchen sent it to the wrong table). And he thanked us for letting him know about the coffee so he could fix the machine (!) soon.
At this price point, we expect a seamless experience, and hope that the restaurant will correct these issues in the future. Mistakes happen. At least the seafood was fresh and delicious. Maybe we will return...but not too soon.
Service and food were excellent.
Filet was cooked to perfection.
Waiter was excellent.
Our new favorite restaurant
The food was AMAZING. I would reccomend Trulucks to anyine wanting excellent seafood.
Very bland food. The Carb cake was very good but everything else very bland
The staff from the moment that you arrive to the moment you leave wonderfully kind. The food is amazing we had the lobster bisque, red snapper, and lobster mash. Every thing was fresh and delicious. Will definitely return and recommend.
I had a great experience. Everyone there made it a Special night for me and my boyfriend
The waiters were amazing and the food was fantastic!
Everything was excellent! Andrew made our anniversary so special
We were used to the Trulucks in Boca Raton. The service is always impeccable. This one was difficult finding due to the fact that it is in the Galleria Mall. There were no signs directing you to their entrance. In Boca, the meal came with a side. In Fort Lauderdale everything is ala carte. My stone crabs were very tasty. My husband and daughter each ordered the seafood appetizer with 4 stone crabs, 4 oysters, 4 shrimp and a crab cocktail. It was the best deal of the night at $65. We also ordered Brussel sprouts which we didn’t really like. We shared a baked Alaska that was flamed at the table and delicious.
Bangin, 10/10 would recommend. Best calamari I've ever had in my life. Wine list was phenomenal. My mouth is watering now just remembering how good the food was.
This a regular restaurant for us. This time we felt that they were understaffed making for a longer than usual dining experience. Food was still great though.
Great birthday meal with excellent food and service.
I live in Miami and many dozens of Food Venues I have gone to.
But is was my 3rd Anniversary and I wanted to impress my Lady.
I know this is a chain, but don't let that fool you. At this location as soon as you drive up, a nice valet takes your car, you are in a beautiful area, a lounge singer was setting a romantic mood.
Large Leather Circular booths , reminiscent of 1920's greeted us, crisp white table cloth and rose petals in the center (I had noted on the reservation via Open Table this was an Anniversary) and this bit of detail was much appreciated by all 4 of us.
Pre-Drinks from Martini to Whiskey Sours and Cucumber Martin's were delicious.
The Bread is soft as heaven sourdough bread with melted butter, so good we ordered a 2nd.
Appetizer, was the best and most meaty crab cake I ever had. Highly recommend this. Salads were light and delicious.
Entree's, the men the NY Strip (50$) and the ladies Group (40) and Surf and Turf (53) were well worth the price. High Quality Steaks with a sauce, delicious and plentiful meat. The lobster, I thought was small but it was the most tender I ever had. The Filet was soft and delicate, she loved it.
Wine Selections go from 48$ to 500$ and each region and varietal represented nicely. We enjoyed a Super Tuscan and a Rioja Riserva. Both delicious and 68 and 72$ respective.
Trulucks is known for its seafood and they bring a tray of the Stone Crabs in various size and Crag legs the same (2lbs for 70) but I saw that night the largest Alaskan King Crab Leg ever, 2" around and 16", it was huge !!!
All told, 527$ for 4, so 130 a person.
Now trust me when I say this it was worth it many times over. The Ambience was truly dark and Sultry, the Leather Circular booths made you feel like a king and the Service was amazing.
This was a night we will always look back on with fondness !!!
Great ambiance combined with super professional and gracious staff and delicious, perfectly-prepared, food!
Was a great atmosphere. Excellent service and food quality was exceptional. They even followed up with a phone call afterwards TK make sure everything was to our liking. We will be back.
Lauren our server and Ed the General Partner were phenomenal. Everyone went out of there way to make sure that we had a great dinner experience. I am looking forward to going back and enjoy another lovely dinner here.
We celebrated our anniversary at your restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale (in fact, we also celebrated in 2018). Each year we ordered lobster as our main entree. Year 2018 was excellent, 2019 not that good. The lobster was not firm, and lacked taste. The creamed spinach was burnt on the bottom of the dish. We ordered Key Lime Pie for dessert, we were served cheese cake instead, we asked the server if it was Key Lime Pie and she said yes, although it was not. The meal was very pricy, we expected quality and did not get it, disappointing. Will not be celebrating future occasions at Ft. Lauderdale’s Turlock. Another issue, when we checked in we told the hostess we will be at the bar (this was a Monday night, not crowded) our driver came in to find us to give us our IPhone, he asked the hostess to find us, she was unable to locate us (we were at the bar, we told her that we would be there when we checked in!). Our driver found us, not much help from the hostess and the people checking in guests!
My husband and I took my mother to celebrate her birthday with all-you-can-eat stone crabs and it was great. All of the food was delicious, our waitress made everything extra special, we just had the most lovely time.
