Celebrating a birthday lunch, great for, great occasion
Great live music in the bar.
The Server Ben was very professional and attentive. He answered every question before I could ask it. Even aloud my wife to sample some delicious wine before ordering. Food was spectacular and the service was amazing. Will definitely go back
It was great!
Fantastic food and great service at Truluck’s, definitely a place to recommend and go back to.
Ben our waiter was awesome and provided us with excellent menu recommendations.
Steak was prepared great. Waiter and Managers were very attentive. I put in a reservation 2 hours before on a Saturday and there was no wait. The Crab Mac is ehhhhh. Just ok in my opinion. The Red Snapper Ponchitrain(sp) was AMAZING. The crusted texture paired with the sauce was awesome. I like this place.
We had an amazing time celebrating my birthday! Everything from the service, the food, the music that you could hear from the bar! Will definitely recommend and definitely go back!
We had an overall outstanding dining experience. Mike. Our waiter, was friendly and exceptional. The only glitch was that the side of potatoes did not come out with the meal and we waited fairly long for them. Mike immediately told us the potatoes would be comp’d from the bill when he placed them on the table. We told him it was ok but he said that’s what they should do for us. We were very appreciative. The sea scallops and tenderloin medallions were both outstanding! The strawberry was to die for! We left stuffed, happy and glad we visited this Trulucks location once again.
Everything was fantastic! We were in town for a birthday celebration and this is by far our favorite restaurant we ate at over the weekend. Everything was of the highest quality, our service was outstanding, wine selection was great, and the food was some of the best seafood I’ve ever eaten! They even brought a special birthday dessert for the birthday girl! If you are wanting to dine somewhere upscale with fantastic seafood selections, this is your place!
We were originally seated in a high traffic area. Right at the top of the stairs and kept being bumped into by patrons and staff. Thankfully they moved us when asked. Overall a good experience. Not mind blowing amazing, but good. I’d go back, but with lower expectations.
I normally have great food and service. Service was ok, food was disappointing. Ordered the hothouse tomato which is normally wonderful. The tomato was not tasty and the cheese and dressing were minimal. Very surprising. My GF ordered the lobster bisque... very little lobster flavor. Loaded with butter and tasted more like a hot pumpkin purée.
Anyway, not TL’s best effort.
Music was excellent as usual.
This was for my friend's 41st. Anniversary. They were blown away as soon as we drove up and the valet greeted them. The Maitre d' was quite welcoming and engaged us well. The waite staff were super and food excellent!
Outstanding as usual. Great job!
Beautiful food and service.
Alex was a wonderful server and the power lunch was exceptional
Excellent service! We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon
I reserved a birthday dinner and everything was superb. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was stellar. The food was out of this world. Everything was great and flavorful. 10s across the board
Excellent service and amazing cuts of beef. Fresh lobster. Everything exceeded expectations.
Food & beverages were wonderful and our server, Skylar, was amazing. Nice city view too. Highly recommend.
Service & food fantastic!!! We were asked if celebrating any thing special. Our lunch out was to celebrated all of our work anniversaries. At end of meal, we were surprised with Baked Alaska for dessert! So nice & thoughtful! I cannot wait to go back.
Asbalways, service and food was outstanding!!
It was a wonderful experience!
We enjoyed our whole experience. Great food, great table, the management and the waiter went out of their way to spoil us.
I will certainly recommend and come back.
I could not have asked for better food, service or ambiance. We had my birthday dinner at Truluck's and we had such a fantastic experience all around.
Specular meal with extraordinary service! I would highly recommend Trulucks for any occasion.
Always one of the best in all categories
The food and pricing were exceptional. Our issue came in the service and lackadaisical attitudes of the host and our waiter. As a couple who eats at many of the higher end restaurants in this area the host seemed to brush us off for others. He would not even attempt to open the door for my wife upon our departure. The waiter did not offer or tend to our table anywhere near what we saw others doing for their guests. As someone who tips very well for good service it hurt to be treated the way we were and will probably not return. We will frequent our other choices where over the last four years we have always felt welcome.
I've ate better seafood at Capt Ds. Oysters were gritty, scallops were gritty. The only thing that taste good was the scallops if you could get over the grit. The food was just bland.
Succch an AMAZING place! I celebrated my 40th birthday here and it was phenomenal! Food, customer service, entertainment, servers, everything was perfect. We had the lobster that was just like the discription on three menu "the Rolls Royce of lobsters" and it was.. Our Alaskan king crab legs were cut open already for us.. This place is 6 starsss if I could put it.
I will defiantly be back! I took my girlfriend who is from California for her birthday and she loved it! Nothing but complements..
I usually LOVE TRULUCKS!!! But this night was sub par. We split everything and had the crab cake really unimpressed.. would rather have been s pappadeaux or Eddie V’s!! Ceviche was okay but nothing that I would go back for .... we split the sweet and spicy halibut ... it was dry and floor less. We also had the asparagus which was my favorite item of the night . We only ate about a couple bites of everything. I will always re-try Truluck’s because it has been a long time favorite. But they also changed the bread. Which was one of my favorite things about Truluck’s I wish they would go back to the old bread with a diversity in the basket.
Wonderful food. Nice business lunch atmosphere.
Service was poor.
Lobster had far too much garlic.
Crab claws were old and strong tasting. Also, the claws were smashed rather than cracked. There were many shell fragments in the meat.
I had been to Truluck’s a few times through the years and remembered the fried shrimp being especially good. They were no longer on the dinner menu which was disappointing. I eat out often and feel that the price point does is not reflective of the experience. After eating crab claws we had to beg for a hot towel which did not come out in a timely fashion and was actually just a wet napkin. The air conditioner was on the fritz and the place was tolerable at best. There is such a thing as after hours/emergency service for air conditioning which I am sure is costly but part of doing business. We were told by the manager the air had been a problem all weekend and they had someone coming Monday. This bit of information did us no good as we were dining on Sunday evening. This would have definitely influenced my choice to dine at Truluck’s that evening.
First time to TruLucks. Dinner was tasty. Would have enjoyed the option to choose vegetables on the Summer menu. Lobster Bisque, Scallops and desserts are delicious.
Fabulous evening celebrating my dad’s birthday. Jessica took excellent care of us and the food was incredible, as always.
Great night out, excellent food quality, great live music- piano and singer!!
Food was good but not to par for Trulucks
