The food here never disappoints. Our small group had salmon prepared per the regular menu and crab cakes. Leave room for dessert: baked Alaska is quite tasty, lots of meringue, chocolate chips, almond flavor. Lemon drop martinis were well made. If you're sensitive to the South Florida air-conditioning blasts, consider taking a sweater or wrap.
Expectations are always met This time I tried the salmon and it was the best I ever had in my 75 years.
Great oysters and crab. Service was perfect from Adam. The grouper with crab rice was off the charts! Wine list solid with some good priced Napa and Sonoma wines.
This place is great and the food and service wonderful
Food was very good. The best stone crab claws. Pricey. Service was not very attentive and extremely slow.
Great seafood and selection. Loved the live music but hard to hear in main dining.
Our first review! Disappointing on so many levels. I am comparing our experience last night at Trulucks, to Abe and Louie, Chops, Capitol Grill. We went for our anniversary last night. You can understand when you spend $300 you want to have a good meal and equally good experience. FAIL. WE ARE NOT HIGH MAINTENCE CUSTOMERS The positive was when we got there we were seated right away and the booth was just what Andy said it would be. Negative: 1) my wife wanted a pomegranate martini and the server said they don't have that and made no suggestion. 2) Rushed us to order a wine, which we did only a $100 bottle 3) and after the pour they put it at the far end of the table and we couldn't reach it and they never came back to re pour, which is stupid because if they had, we would have bought another bottle. so thanks for saving us. 4) before the 2 appetizers came out the server asked us for our dinner order. 5) These little annoyance ruined the whole vibe of this special evening. We were very surprised how bad the service was compared to the other restaurants I name above.
6) We were very specific that the prime rib should come out pink and warm. Shocker, came out bloody. once I got someone's attention they took it back to cook it correctly. however, 7) the chef must had had a heavy hand because it was so peppery could not enjoy it. As I wrote above we had restaurants to compare a good prime rib. We couldn't eat it so we just paid and left and went to Pats wine bar for a good bottle of Zin and 2 appetizers. It stinks when you want a special evening and you just spent $300 and leave feeling upset. Even though they did bring us out a baked Alaska which quite candidly we just wanted to get out of there
This was an anniversary dinner, i had made note of that when i made reservations. I did not expect everyone working there to wish us happy anniversary. I certainly did not expect a heart made of flowers on our table. And definitely did not anticipate an excellent happy anniversary desert. The food was phenomenal. The service was even better. Ive been here many times, but Trulucks made this visit remarkably special for my wife and I
One of my favorite places to eat. Food is always cooked perfectly there.
Another awesome dining experience at Truluck’s. Best meal of our vacation!
Delicious food! Dessert, two words: Chocolate Bag!!! Wow!!!
Stone crabs delicious!
I have been to Truluck's on numerous occasions and my overall experience has been wonderful. However, the last time I went I was extremely disappointed. It was my best friend birthday, I've been telling him about the restaurant for years and finally I decided to surprise him for his birthday (EPIC FAIL). We were seated for 10 minutes before our server came to table and introduce herself. Then we had to wait an additional 10 minutes to order appetizers. Thank goodness for the complimentary bread, at least we had something to snack on. Then another 15 minutes to order our entrées. Our server hardly came to the table to check if we needed anything, we then realize she had additional tables so that's why she was missing. However that's no excuse, they restaurant is usually busy THEY NEED TO HIRE MORE SERVERS. Extremely disappointed.
Always excellent food, service and ambiance!!
Nothing else compares!!
Valentine’s dinner was outstanding. We expected a special holiday menu but were pleased to see the regular one. We had a great French white wine. We started with a seafood combination of oysters, shrimp cocktail, stone crab claws, and a rock crab salad. It comes out with dry ice cloud... very dramatic. Dinners were grouper ponchitrain and seared tuna. Both excellent! We were ready to turn down dessert but discovered a mini sized carrot cake...so delectable. And the coffee here is just outstanding. The level of service is top notch and sets a bar that few restaurants approach.
The restaurant was top notch . Very attentive service and great food.
Well, the evening was fine till I claimed my car from the valet. I was putting my car key back on the chain and a woman that was dressed as a traffic control person knocked on my car window and started complaining that my car was parked on the cross walk. I explained that the valet from Truluck left it there and she said it was my car and my problem. I have to tell you that left a bad taste on my mouth for the eve, especially when the valet check in point was feet away from the incident and they did nothing about the angry “cop.”
We were in Boca for a few days of relaxation and to celebrate Valentine's Day. Our friends recommended Trulucks and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing and the service was great. The goat cheese just melted in your mouth on Jack's dish. My scallops were delicious. The wine selection was good and our server was able to recommend a couple of tasty wines. All in all a great experience and we will be back the next time we visit FL!
Amazing service !
