Very wonderful dinner...great service!
Especially appreciated Alexandria for a surprised sweet treat on our Anniversary..definitely will come back for special events!👍😍🍽🥂
The food was very good. We enjoyed the ambiance and I loved how the hostess dropped the confetti on the table for my birthday. I loved that they gave me a free baked Alaskan.
My wife surprised me with a dinner at Truluck’s and oh wow! Best steak I’ve had in Austin and I’ve lived here 5 years now. What got us was the level of detail. The front hostess staff was less memorable than the wait staff but it was a 5 star experience either way.
They even gave us a congratulations card and had the staff sign it!
We wanted a quiet, romantic dinner, and they delivered. Did was great, service was great, and it was easy to talk to one another. Loved it.
Everything was EXCELLENT. Will certainly visit this location again.
Every detail was perfect From the food to the service
We came here for our 6 year anniversary. It was a great romantic setting. Every body was so attentive and we never felt like we needed anything because our waiter was constantly checking up on us. The food was delicious!
Our first time to the Arboretum location but we were met with quality and friendly service. We celebrated my wife’s birthday and it went amazing! Thank you for always delivering the 5-Star customer service and food preparation!
Birthday. They made the birthday guest feel very special. Excellent dinner experience
Outstanding service and food.
Excellent food & service. Best anniversary dinner in 50 years!
Food was very good. Server was preoccupied with a larger party. Long transition between courses. Manager made it right for the long wait for our reservation -this was appreciated.
Y'all made our anniversary something to remember. Thank you.
Great service and atmosphere. Food was excellent except for one undercooked lobster which was replaced and removed from my bill. To remove that charge from my bill was more than fair. I am definitely a returning customer.
Just wish a chicken option on the menu
And the evening was perfect until the party
Of 12/14 business people showed up
We finished our meal and left early
No mistakes just slower service and load
Room front area
Excellent food and wine list. Highly recommend especially for a special occasion.
It was a great experience. The server and the ambience I will say sealed the deal for me going back in the future
The food service & ambiance was wonderful. The birthday Baked Alaska was delicious.
Tables are too close to each other. Saw several parties asked too be moved because of this. Food is way over priced for what you get. A small child was screaming and nothing was done about it. I was with my wife and we spent 300.00 dollars including tip and came away hungry.
The food is always amazing at Truluck’s. This was our first time to go to the Arboretum location (typically downtown Austin). It’s much cozier and, when it got full, I felt the tables were closer together that I remember downtown being. At the price point, I do like to have some elbow room and it was lacking. Service was excellent. Only thing to watch is the timing of serving courses...I shouldn’t have my steak brought out if I’m still enjoying my salad. If those couple things had been a little more on par for this level of restaurant, it would’ve been 5 stars all the way.
Restaurant advertised Gluten Free Options, In the reservation, I asked for Gluten Free Options, and restaurant even called to confirm. I thought everything was arranged. When I arrived, I had to again ask for the Gluten Free Options or Menu, and after some waiting period, Was found and delivered to the table. Bread was delivered, I asked if it was gluten free. Waiter responded “no”. When I asked if there was an alternative for Gluten sensitive people, he responded with a flat “No”. Didn’t even bother to ask the chef or management before answering. It was a special occasion (birthday), so I attempted to waive off the desert over the gluten concerns, the waiter said he had it covered. No surprise, the deserts arrived, no Gluten Free option. Hey, I get it, not everyone understands the gluten free sensitivity issues. Fine, but don’t advertise your restaurant as having Gluten Free Options, even call to confirm this request, then act oblivious or dismissive to the GF dietary restriction. I will try to stay optimistic and assume it’s a staff training issue (?) Otherwise, filet was just ok, shrimp cocktail not so good (did not taste or smell fresh), spinach side unremarkable. Enjoyed the margarita and glass of Pinot.
Best Piece of King Crab I've ever had in my life...the butter could be done better though...The salads were very well done as well.
Always a great meal at Truluck's. First time at the Austin Arboretum, usually go downtown or the Woodland in Houston, but same quality of food and service. Celebrated a birthday and the table was decorated with silver stars and confetti, special dessert was shared for the four of us. Truluck's is our favorite place to dine. Just a very special dining establishment.
We are regulars at Truluck’s Aboretum, especially for special occasions because we love the food, service bland/tasteless & stringy. Only a small part of the middle section’s crab meat tasted right. Not what I would expect from Truluck’s.
The worst part was that our waiter was slow & mostly not around when we needed him. He seemed fixated in serving one of the other table of four seated 2 tables across from us. Although he was nice & friendly, he didn’t seem too interested in giving us his best service. As for special requests in our reservation, we found that nobody seem to read it. We do appreciate the complimentary birthday dessert but this is the second time we requested for “carrot cake” instead of your usual “bomb alaska” (we cannot consume anything with caffeine since there is coffee ice cream in it) but the waiter still brought out the “bomb alaska” & we had to stop him before he lit it on fire to serve. All in all, we expected a better experience but instead spent a lot of wasted time waiting for service.
Food was on point! Our waiter was great at knowing the menu and pointing out a great bottle of wine.
Just the Best!
Order Anything, It's All Great!
No Hats Allowed Though
The quality of the food is outstanding and the service friendly
Outstanding service and quality food presentation. Great for special occasions or when you want to try new options. It’s our go to location.
The entire experience was wonderful! Service impeccable, ambiance comfortable and elegant, and the food was absolutely delicious.
Very good food. Everyone was Very friendly. It was hard to hear our server over the music but other than that it was a lovely experience
Great service. We dined at the Arboretum location and Fred was our server. He was patient, friendly and polished.
Great experience. Only missing were my dungeness crabs.
I chose to propose to my girlfriend here based on the reviews. I spoke with Louis, the general manager, and made a plan. The service and experience was absolutely exceptional!
Great food. But little crazy on the prices . Service was good, bar area across from dining was so loud.
My wife and I celebrated our 39th anniversary with a fabulous dinner. We were greeted with a "Happy Anniversary" upon arrival, by the server (who also referred to us by name - a nice touch), and the manager. Rose petals on our table and fantastic wine list. I enjoyed a very nice clam chowder, while my wife had what she described as the best crab cake ever. We split a wonderful, fresh wedge salad. I had the Faroe Island salmon with asparagus and my wife had the scallops w/Parmesan mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Both meals were perfectly prepared and large portions. Dessert: carrot cake (be prepared for a large portion which could easily serve four people. Excellent coffee. Our server, Lauren, was the best in the business. Very personable, attentive and professional. This is a great place to eat and should be on everyone's bucket list.
Steaks were terrible. Over cooked. Next one , no taste. Chewy. No comparison to Fleming’s. I had expectation way up high. But I was highly disappointed. Seafood was probably the thing to order. Oysters were great !
Came to town and wanted to have a special night for my wife and I. Found Trulucks on the Internet and I thought it would be a great place to visit. The place was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the service was excellent. Definitely will come back next time we are in town.
Great service. Very attentive waitress. Excellent food
Great 35th anniversary dinner capped off by Baked Alaska
We took our son and daughter-in-law here for an anniversary dinner. I had made reservations through OpenTable. We were cheerfully greeted by the reception hostess who found our reservation very quickly. She showed us to our table and within less than a minute Loren, our server greeted us. She was very personable and seemed eager to make our dining experience perfect. She was already aware that it was an anniversary event. It wasn't long and Louis Saliba, General Manager, greeted us and informed us that if we needed anything, please don't hesitate to ask him. He left his called card.
As for the food, we ordered appetizers of cocktail shrimp (5 pcs) which was average, and the tuna tower which was spectacular. Highly recommend it. For entrees we had two orders of red fish pontchartrain, one order of pan seared scallops and the bone in rib eye. All four entrees where impeccably prepared, served, presented and delicious. Cocktails were margaritas, bourbon neat, and domestic beer.
At the conclusion of our meal the table was presented with a complimentary baked Alaska on tray with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. The perfect ending to a truly fine dining experience.
The bill was $350.00 and well deserving of a full 20% tip. Thanks to everyone at Truluck's!!
