Truffle Pig Ratings and Reviews
Best burger ever, chicken and mashed potatoes to die for plus ravioli that was delicate, rich and even crunchy.. truffle fries were perfect on the way home to Boulder next day.. bacon wrapped dates were sinfully delicious and grilled green chili peppers were sweet and perfectly seasoned. Go there!
This is the second time I have been to Truffle Pig...and was very excited to return as it was a highlight of our previous trip. I was sorely disappointed and had the worst meal that we have had on this trip...and the most expensive by far. We had a nice table by the window and the server was very pleasant. It was Valentine’s Day and they were offering several specials...I think the servers were given incentive to push them....the server found anyway she could to suggest them to us...which included very overpriced scallops. My husband ordered the pork chop and enjoyed it. I had the mushroom risotto and it was over salted and under flavored. We tried to order Key Lime tart for dessert but they were out..but the server of course offered one of the special desserts. Won’t be back again
We ate here celebrating the first night of our annual ski trip to the area. The food is remarkable. The only thing I’m going to change is requesting seating in the rear of the restaurant. I went to use the restroom and discovered how big the place was. The table in the back are spaced out, quite and you can relax while having dinner as opposed to the front (near the bar) where we’ve been placed all 5 times we’ve eaten here over the years.
A quick walk from our Steamboat condo. We enjoyed the salmon, Osso Bucolic, risotto and pappardelle bolognese. Would have liked to try the fish, but an entree over $50 just didn't seem worth it. I thought serving sizes were pretty small for the price, but we are here in prime season and the restaurant is right at the gondola base, so , ok.
VERY noisy with screaming children in all sides of restaurant . When a table was seated across from us, we heard the host say “they can be as loud as they want here.” Thanks a lot, my husband and I were having $100 dinner. We will be back , but with our grandkids. Food was good but expensive for type and ambiance ($25 burger for example.”
Food & wine was good. Great view of Steamboat Resort Mountain Trails, with New Years Eve fireworks & torch light skiers. Our waiter was very attentive but not bothersome. Management however, introduced himself and welcomed us, only to return later & ask us to leave because he wanted to reseat our table...haha! and we thought he was truly concerned with our dining experience. We agreed that was a first for us all.
I had never eaten a food with so much salt in my life !
The “truffle fries” ordered as appetizer were impossible to eat and I had to send back to the kitchen and exchanged for some without salt. To my surprise, they came back again in all our dishes, as all had theese horrible fries. Not to say that paied extra $4 dollars for the “truffle”.
When I conplained the maittre said “yeah, our food is spicy”!!! SPICY??? or SALTY?
Lets go to the fish: asked for a sea bass fish and chips (which the waitress made me change to salty truffle fries). ONLY 4 pieces of fried fish on top of a hill of fries.
Truffle Pig is easy to like: cordial, efficient crew, nice big room (that still wasn’t loud), views of the mountain, and some very good small plate dishes (bacon-wrapped dates and ‘bowl of chili’ flavor meatballs were standouts). We’d recommend it for anything from snacks and drinks to apres ski and full dinners: a classy place!
We enjoyed our entire experience! The entire staff was friendly and attentive, very prompt, and paid wonderful attention to every detail. Everything was delicious; from the creative cocktails, incredible whiskey (aged in barrels designed specifically for Truffle Pig), perfectly portioned and gorgeous courses, with a grand finale of chocolate decadence! My husband and I will certainly be back soon and we'll be raving out about experience for a long time.
