Food and location very nice, but extremely noisy. Very difficult to have conversation. Excellent food and service
Bustling noisy place very conveniently located at the base for s post skiing meal.
The best thing was the charismatic African American guy who refilled our water often and cleared the table.
The $16 kale salad was not worth the price. The fresh raw leaves looked appealing but were dressed with too much vinegar and difficult to chew because they were not shredded as much as they should’ve been.
The $14 for three dates wrapped in bacon was a disappointment. Delicious but given that they require no difficult technique, the small quantity made this ridiculously overpriced.
$12 truffle fries were delicious and covered in Parmesan. Pricey compared to other restaurants.
The $33 salmon with quinoa was cooked to perfection and accompanied by 2 small but beautiful broccoli sprigs and a roasted tomato.
Waitress service was ordinary. I’d give her a B.
Dinner for 3 was $160 (3 entrees, 1 salad, 2 appetizers, 1 beer and 1 root beer. Definitely not worth the price.
We had dinner here and came back for Apris Ski. Excellent quality and flavor steak at dinner. Bacon wrapped dates are great but there are only 3 in the order which for the price was stingy for dates. :( Great Charcuterie. Good service but tried to sit ya in the back with no view when the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Over all we’ll be back for the food and cocktails!
The ambience was great, the choices of food was varied, the service timing could have been better (longer gaps in between things), for the price most of the food was average instead of outstanding. Shishito peppers we're not all cooked the same amount some were under done/not charred enough, the Brussels sprout hash was disappointing (the sprouts were hard in the center/didn't have much flavor), the steak frites with chimichurri was very good, as well as the special with the filet and lobster. Cocktail valley mule was disappointing, outdoorsy Barbie was better but probably only two thirds of the martini glass was filled. Special scallop appetizer was good with the spicy kimchi and the tuna poke was pretty good. Don't know that we go back for the price.
Good wine list and delicious food. Portions on the smaller size.
Food was delicious, and served hot and fast. Server Tripp allowed us to not feel rushed with dinner, and his service was good. The only issue we were disappointed with was when the bill came. We knew we gave him some latitude on which ‘wine by the glass’ to bring as our wine with dinner - we were NOT expecting a $20/glass wine choice. That unfortunately put a bad taste on the overall experience.
We had a large party. They were very accommodating. Outstanding service and food! Our favorite place we have eaten at in steamboat. Can’t wait to come back!!!
Every year when we visit Steamboat Springs we end our vacation with a very special meal. We have chosen the Truffle Pig every year and have always had an amazing meal and experience. The food is out of this world, the staff and management is amazing, and the location is perfect. Bravo Truffle Pig! Bravo!
The truffle fries and bourbon section were incredible. Everything else was at best average. Sea Bass was fishy tasting and rice was bland. Crab Mac & cheese is a no go. $14 wedge salad came out with about 4 bacon bits and no blue cheese. Overall disappointing and unimpressed.
Very nice meal that was well prepared. Service was excellent The one comment that three of us had was that the truffle fries, mushroom risotto and salmon crust were overly salted.
Best burger I had...ever! Truffle fries and great kale salad are yummy too.
Great food and service. Accommodated our late arrival.
Love the scallops, sea bass, lamb, burrata and desserts! The staff is warm and welcoming. Management is attentive. Ambiance is perfect for an evening out. When in Steamboat, we will make it a point to eat here. Dining rivals any big city experience. If going downtown, try Carl’s , their sister restaurant for a sports bar experience.
We had a variety of small plates so we could sample many items on the menu. Everything was delicious! I wish I could remember the names of everything we ordered. 2 of note we loved were the scallop special and the cassoulet. Service was excellent. Always had full glasses, but never felt over attended.
Next time we’re in Steamboat we’ll be back!
I had the lamb and rabbit confit. It was too salty (I told waitress and fellow who came over to ask about it). The kale salad with some beets & little pieces of goat cheese was a large size and had just a bit too much vinegar. The next day I had a "stomach reaction" day and night. So I will think twice about going next year.
Perfect slopeside location, amazing food and great happy hour.
Wonderful staff, especially since I noted the wrong reservation time, and was 20 min late with my party of 4 during a BUST weekend. THANK YOU for accommodating us and for making or night wonderful! We will be back.... Cheers!
Expensive. Very loud. Not good for a quiet dinner. Also bad design for entrance. Every time the entrance door was opened a blast of cold air came in. Not sure if I would go back. Food was good, dessert was good but it's expensive!
High expense and average quality. Forgot we had a server half the the evening. Not worth it.
Outstanding Chilean Sea Bass
I felt this location was overpriced for the quality of food. Good was good but not worth what we paid.
Great meal and service!
We ate dinner at Truffle Pig with our 3 children. The food was delicious! I ordered the mushroom risotto and added scallops to my dish. The scallops were excellent and the risotto was very flavorful and filling. They had an excellent wine selection. The children’s menu had plenty of options for the kids. My son added on a lobster tail to his buttered pasta dish. He loved the lobster. It was cooked perfectly. I appreciated them being flexible with the menu, letting us add things on, especially on such a busy night. The staff was very attentive. Next time we visit Steamboat, we will eat here again.
Best burger ever, chicken and mashed potatoes to die for plus ravioli that was delicate, rich and even crunchy.. truffle fries were perfect on the way home to Boulder next day.. bacon wrapped dates were sinfully delicious and grilled green chili peppers were sweet and perfectly seasoned. Go there!
Best kids menu! Thank you for knowing all kids don’t eat chicken tenders. My kids enjoyed a petit filet and grilled salmon. My Bolognese was amazing! Always a winner while visiting the boat.
Great evening. Excellent food, wine and very helpful staff. Lively Apres ski. Would highly recommend. We go here every time we are in Steamboat and we are never disappointed.
Food was top notch, ambience was good
This is the second time I have been to Truffle Pig...and was very excited to return as it was a highlight of our previous trip. I was sorely disappointed and had the worst meal that we have had on this trip...and the most expensive by far. We had a nice table by the window and the server was very pleasant. It was Valentine’s Day and they were offering several specials...I think the servers were given incentive to push them....the server found anyway she could to suggest them to us...which included very overpriced scallops. My husband ordered the pork chop and enjoyed it. I had the mushroom risotto and it was over salted and under flavored. We tried to order Key Lime tart for dessert but they were out..but the server of course offered one of the special desserts. Won’t be back again
Great staff and great food. Always on our list when we visit Steamboat.
We ate here celebrating the first night of our annual ski trip to the area. The food is remarkable. The only thing I’m going to change is requesting seating in the rear of the restaurant. I went to use the restroom and discovered how big the place was. The table in the back are spaced out, quite and you can relax while having dinner as opposed to the front (near the bar) where we’ve been placed all 5 times we’ve eaten here over the years.
A quick walk from our Steamboat condo. We enjoyed the salmon, Osso Bucolic, risotto and pappardelle bolognese. Would have liked to try the fish, but an entree over $50 just didn't seem worth it. I thought serving sizes were pretty small for the price, but we are here in prime season and the restaurant is right at the gondola base, so , ok.
Great food, a little noisy at times but there are tables away from the noise. Great place to get together with friends.
VERY noisy with screaming children in all sides of restaurant . When a table was seated across from us, we heard the host say “they can be as loud as they want here.” Thanks a lot, my husband and I were having $100 dinner. We will be back , but with our grandkids. Food was good but expensive for type and ambiance ($25 burger for example.”
Very nice place. After skiing all day, great place to meet but very noisy
Food, service and everything was excellent!
Always dine here when in Steamboat!
Okay but there are so many better restaurants in town. Table was 15 min late, which was a precursor to everything being slow. Food was average for ultra-resort prices. Try another.
Excellent meal and service.
