Great spot for excellent brunch; menu was new and refreshing; service outstanding
I love True North every time! Food is always top notch!
Fun time...creative food...friendly service. Highly recommended.
Went before a show around the corner at the Paramount. Were seated promptly upon arrival and placed our order at 7:00, advising our server that we had a show at 8:00 and asking whether the timing would be OK. Wife ordered roasted chicken, I ordered the burger and fries. We were assured no problems. I Received food at 7:40. Food was excellent; having to shovel it into our faces in 10 minutes was disappointing. I would go back when we were not under a time crunch because the food was really very good. I just wish the server would have been honest with us about timing.
Everything was really delicious. Loved the decor, cocktails, beers on tap. Food was nice twist on classics.
Food and service was terrible.
We arrived for a late lunch and the place was close to empty. The staff was attentive and the food was great. While we did not try dessert the big cup of fresh brewed coffee capped a very pleasant meal in a comfortable sitting. Probably more energetic other times of the day, but our business lunch it was great.
Food was good. The bar was backed up a bit and I had to wait ten minutes for drinks. Extremely noisy. Menu is not big but there is something on it for everyone.
Server and service well above average---warm, attentive and efficient.
Food was B+ to A- and portions were decent to large.
Nice beer list.
Clean, very attractive and spacious dining room.
Asked for large table, and got one--thanks!
Great food. Sorry I waited so long to get there. Can't wait to go back. Food and service excellent. Thank you true north.
The service was excellent, but I did not care
for the menu. Lots of small plates mostly covered in french fries. It was also very noisy, and I was freezing the whole time.
Could not wait to leave.
Overpriced foods and drinks. The waitress was nice though
Didn't like the food at all.
Great food and service.
Went for brunch this time and food was great. We shared the beet salad to start, very fresh and delicious. We then shared the Breakfast Bahn Mi and the French Toast. Both very good.
Only complaints are that there seems to be a disparity in the sizes of the dishes. The Bahn Mi was an extremely generous portion while the french toast was two small pieces. Luckily we were sharing, but I would have been disappointed in the portion size of the french toast if that was the only thing I ordered. Also drinks were on the pricier side- a mimosa was $9.
Burger was pricey but worth it. Mussels excellent. Dessert over the top. Nice selection of craft brews on tap. Only complaint is that it was noisy. Needs more spun absorbing material. Of course when place emptied a bit around 9 seemed that all the noise was from one table!
Food was quite good - my husband loved the mussels. I do not like the compressed cantaloupe so much. Overall it was quite good.
I went here for my mom's b-day because we owned The Linden Tree Café which was that locations first restaurant . Anyway, in short, we ate good food, had a nice waiter and had great time. I would go there again..
Loved the ambiance!! The food was great!! Loved the unique drinks!! So refreshing instead of the old standard drinks.
Lila our waitress was sweet and knowledgeable. Grilled octopus was delish!!! Will go again for sure!!!
Great experience! Keeps me coming back!
Food was decent put presentation was just so-so. The restaurant was not very full yet it was quite loud, perhaps from the bar noise. The ambiance is just terrible...too bright and a dining room that could benefit from some decorating. Will not be back
This was our second visit in a week to share this find with friends. Everyone's meal was superb and the bartender knows his stuff too!
Very happy with restaurant. Service was great and food was prompt. Great menu selection and food was very good. Drinks and overall cost very reasonable. Liked the way that management regularly checked in to make sure we were satisfied. Restaurant filled up quickly for an early Friday night. Even with full house at 6pm, spacing comfortable and able to have conversation without feeling that someone is right on top of you.
The Asiago burger was out of this world, done to perfection with a perfect balance of flavor. Muscles were large and tender. I had to order more bread to get the delicious broth.
great service, food and menu variety. The soft shell crab was excellent.
Beware of the fish entre!! My husband and I have ate at True North over the last few months and have always enjoyed the food. We always order the burger and fries entre. But buyer beware of the fish entre. I was shocked at the portion for $28!!. It was a very thin filet with a small topping of veggies on top. Needless to say I left the restaurant hungry. So if you eat at True North don't order the fish- only the burger!!
The food was excellent and very unique!!!
Limited menu Small plates not bad but more of a burger joint
Sat outside on a gorgeous evening - love the inside as well but way too loud - wish something could be done about that! otherwise - new fav place
We are sorry to say we did not like this new Huntington venue. The menu selection was small and we all had trouble deciding what to order. The salmon was undercooked and the pork chops overlooked, dry and tough.
I absolutely loved True North. Everything from the ambiance, to the service, and drinks and food were all amazing. I will definitely be going back many times.
Friendly place with an interesting array of food offerings (great burgers and love the pork bun appetizer). Good selection of beer.
Was not totally impressed from all the reviews we heard...the Buns were the Best Part of the meal...and duck fries were good
Ribs were chewy... Chicken Wings were just Okay...Mussels took too long so we cancelled them...Meals came out too Sporadically and took too long in a weird order... Drinks were Mediocre...Service was Not the Best...we got there early when it wasn't Busy and I had to go to Bar to get my own drink...
Beignets were Doughy...
Really wanted to Love this Place but it's Unfortunately Not Going to Happen :(
Had a Mothers Day brunch for 5. Everything was great. Had four different dishes that were all excellent. Everyone loved the old bay seasoned bacon. The Bloody Mary mix was terrific as well.
The Cubano sandwich was terrible. The bread was too hard and the pork was so fatty. We couldn't even eat it and the waitress didn't even question it when we didn't want it wrapped.
The chicken wings were delicious, the beer was great and the salmon was good.
The food seems to get better every time we come to True North. It is inventive and delicious. It's nice to see the menu change and keep us interested in coming back!
Great small plates menu, extensive selection of Micro Brews and Wine list. The staff is very attentive.
The Spicy Clams and Thai Mussels were delicious! As were our entrees. Service needs much work. Servers should know menu and how food is prepared. A smile from the hostess would have been nice. Would not rush back.
Diana is such a gracious host and the food is consistently top notch. Try the ribs- perfectly cooked- or the beet salad- great flavors- or the trout- fennel onions and flavor!. Just had the burger and fries and they were the best I've had at any restaurant in a long time. Medium rare and you will be very happy! Joe the bar manager mixes some amazing and original cocktails like "the last word". My wife and I have a new favorite restaurant.
They need to work on the AC ventilation. It can be uncomfortably cold and then too hot within 10
