   Enjoyed the food. Only disappointment was our waiter offered us one free piece of the vegan pumpkin pie which we accepted and split amongst the four of us. When the bill was delivered from another employee, the price of the dessert was included. We didn't want to question it but better communication between staff would have made this an excellent experience.

   Took my husband here for his birthday dinner (it's one of his favorite restaurants). Food was amazingly tasty, cocktails were balanced and delicious, and good service. We ordered one appetizer and a main for each of us and ended up in the loveliest food coma, haha. Would definitely come back!

   Discovered on a trip to LA, with 2 of us gluten free, this was a great find. Dined in twice and had a delivery, too. All thoroughly delicious. Planning to seek a True Food Kitchen in our home area.

   Love True Food. Usually try to find one when we travel. This one was really off. Brussels and cauliflower very over cooked. Main dishes just not the usual yummy. It was a rainy, quiet day. There was almost no one there as we had an early dinner before a concert. Service was totally fine. Disappointed because it’s a restaurant we rely on to consistently have good food. Oh well. Something off in the kitchen at this one.

   Everything was fantastic, the food, the wine and the waitress. The only problem, which was not your fault was the gentleman at the table next to us, never stopped coughing.

   We were screamed at by a crazy homeless person who threaten to kill my husband. Nobody from restaurant came over to move us away from door or ask if we were ok

   Just had the best poke bowl I have e er had. Just the right amount of spice, very flavorful ingredients. My friend had a marvelous burger, also very well spiced. Casual and welcoming with great service. True Food is a find!

    Pleasant, lively vibe for a nice evening out with friends; open atmosphere but not too noisy to hear (our party included some older folks and they did fine with the noise level). Service was great. Food was nicely presented and enjoyable.

    The ancient grain bowl with shrimp was very good, but the Forbidden Poke Bowl portion was small and looked more like an appetizer.

    Great food selection for healthy and delicious dinners with good service. We went on Valentine’s Day with our two teenage girls and they had a special menu in addition to the regular one, which was nice. The atmosphere is casual with good energy and attached to the mall is convenient.

    Understand we came in early on a sunday, but the staff was pretty terrible. Waitress looked disgruntled, overheard the hostess complaining that people were arriving right when they opened. Brunch menu was not good at all. Nothing inspiring at all. Food met the expectations from the menu. Would not go back. Should have had brunch at our hotel, the Oceana...down the street.

    Overall it was great. Sat outside on a beautiful day. Food was fresh and delicious. Appreciate the options they have for all kinds of dietary needs. Our server was nice, but took a long while to come around. Because of this, we had to eat our food quickly once it arrived and leave in a hurry to get to an appointment. We quickly paid the bill, but then realized later we never got some of our ordered (and paid for) food! Also, we specifically requested outdoor seating in the OpenTable reservation special request section, since there was no option to reserve an outdoor table. They first tried to sit us indoors. Would be nice if restaurants would read the special request information provided when the reservation is made. Again, food was great. Not in Santa Monica often, but would definitely get food from here again - just maybe when we aren't in any rush. :)

    Came to celebrate a friend’s birthday and watch the Lunar New Year celebration at 2pm at the Santa Monica Place Mall. Nice that this restaurant comps bday desserts. Our wonderful server let our friend choose among several desserts. Food was delicious! I had the salmon entree. Another friend ordered off the menu to accommodate her dietary restrictions which not all restaurants will do. Great service. We sat in the dog friendly patio on a sunny day and to avoid the din of all the people chatting inside. Nice to see people were able to bring their dogs in the patio. On a Sat, 12:45pm, this place was packed! Good thing I made reservations. The restaurant (#172) is located on the first floor outside of the mall.

    This was a perfect place for a small group for brunch. Great choices and everyone was pleased with their selections. Wait staff was terrific, friendly, accurate with special allergy accommodations, attentive, and lovely! Restuarant has a wide range of healthy choices that do not compromise on flavor or taste (quinoa pancakes were terrific, breakfast tacos, sweet potato hash, eggs, avocado toast, and some bowl that our cousin ate at the end of the table). Just know you are not getting a soda from there but the coffe drinks were awesome.

    Ordered the curry bowl and arrived with only sweet potatoes, carrots and 3 tiny green beans. Another waitress, not the one we ordered from, came to see what was wrong and we told her curry bowl is supposed to have Bok Choy and snap peas, she said we must be looking at wrong menu and finally believed us after we showed her table scan menu, online menu and finally paper menu. I returned the dish to receive the ingredients that I actually ordered and manager came over to apologize and we told him the waitress argued with us that we were wrong until we showed proof on 3 different menus (online, table barcode, and paper) that half of the ingredients were missing before finally agreeing to take the food back. My daughter finished her meal and then I finally received mine back with sweet peas and a few tiny pieces of possibly Bok Choy? The manager never came back to see if everything was ok and I was extremely disappointed that the curry was not comped on the bill.

    I love True Food's cuisine. Everything is presented artfully, and tastes delicious and the cherry on top is that it's healthy food. I wish they had more vegan/GF options, but what they do have won't disappoint. I have fallen in love with the Teriyaki Bowl and the Chocolate chip cookies and ice cream.

    As a vegan (and gluten free) it is always a challenge dine in a restaurant with non-vegan friends. True Food is the perfect location to solve that conundrum as they have items on the menu to meet everyone's needs. Everything is presented beautifully and healthy, "true food".

    We reserved on Open table and when we asked for a different table they said we didn’t have a reservation. Noisy with two little kids running around our table out of control.

    Our service was swift and our server made great recommendations. The hostess lowered the blinds for us so the sun was not directly in our face, which was much appreciated. Food and drinks came out pretty quickly and it was not too noisy!

    Delicious food, but it was quite expensive. It was $126 for 3 of us including 20% tip and no one had wine or alcohol. Great location though- we took a walk to the pier and along the Palisades. The food was healthy and there were lots of gluten free and vegan options.
