Unlike other times, we had a bad experience this week. The appetizers took forever, and then they were cold. Roasted brussel sprouts and charred cauliflower should be warm. We ordered two curry bowls and a kale salad. I asked for an extra side of dressing. Again, it took way too long to get our food! The waitress came and apologized for the wait, and then the manager came over and apologized. I asked for an extra side of dressing. The curry was thin, very watery, and the vegetables in it were not thoroughly cooked. I had to ask 3 times for my side of dressing. The waitress and manager tried hard to make it up to us (we think the kitchen forgot our order) by giving us each a gift card. That was a nice touch, and we appreciated it, but if we had been in a hurry to get to an appointment, we would have had to leave without our food.
I have always loved True Foods, made a reservation and brought out of town guests. I talked it up and was anxious to share it with them. Our food came, pizza was sort of warm, the spaghetti squash casserole was not even luke warm in the center and the shrimp was so fishy and did not taste at all fresh. I would have had the server take it back and have it heated and take the shrimp off, but by the time our server was able to get back to our table my guests had to leave to catch a flight. This used to be my favorite restaurant in Cherry Creek, but I don't think I'll go back because it was such a disappointment and an embarrassment I might add. Such a shame to see the integrity of such an amazing one-of-a-kind restaurant with an amazing menu. Hope this review helps to bring them back to a higher standard and not just to fill tables.
This was a nice change from our normal Cherry Creek restaurants. The service was good and waitress was more than willing to answer questions. The food was OK. It is not cheap as a vanilla latte was $6.00 and avocado toast was around $11.00. Would go again.
Thank you for your honest review. We work hard to hit high marks on all categories. Next time you are in I would love to get some additional feedback on our offerings. See you soon. Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
Excellent, healthy food and an amazing variety of choices. Interesting mixed drinks with creative ingredients, both for the kids and adults. This restaurant was recommended to me by a fellow Western Colorado resident and it did not disappoint. Loved the poke bowl and the Brussels sprouts appetizer. Will be back for sure.
Thank you very much for the high marks! Look forward to seeing you and your guests soon!
If you could see my history, we frequent this place for a reason. Its Outstanding.
Thank you so much Ralph for being a return guest and the high marks! Its always a pleasure having you and your guests in to dine with us. We look forward to the next visit! Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
Absolutely delicious food! Our group of four had the steak tacos, curry dish (one with beef, one with shrimp), Korean noodles (with tofu), and then the ice cream, flourless chocolate cake, chia seed pudding and squash pie...holy moly....WOW! Will definitely come back.
Thank you very much for the kind words. Our team works hard to provide flavorful and healthy offerings to our guests. You also seem to have had some of my personal favorites. Look forward to having you in again! Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
Delicious but very very loud. Unable to converse. The food is great with lots of gluten free options. The service was great too.
Thank you very much for the review. We are indeed a poppin' place and noise levels can be fun. We do have spots in the restaurant that tend to be more settled. Feel free to let us know the next time you are in and we will do our best to accommodate you. See you soon. Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
Our experience was fantastic! Ashley was very attentive and so personable. She’s a great asset to your team and I hope she gets recognized for her hard work
Thank you very much Robin. Ashley is not only stellar at her craft but a great person all around! She appreciates the shout out! See you soon! Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
I’ve been to TF three times now, and it has not disappointed. They have a good wine selection and plates for all tastes. I personally like their clean eating approach. We had a couple of pizzas last time. Flavor was great but without the greasiness from other places. I would recommend their chicken and sausage pizza. We also had the poke bowl dinner platter and it was delicious! Overall, I think it is a good place for everyday dining and special occasions.
Thank you very much for the kind words Tatiana. We love hearing about "newbies" and the return visits. We are a seasonal menu and our new winter offerings are coming up soon. We look forward to your next visit with us. Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
One of my favorite restaurants! Have many food allergies and restrictions and can always find something and it tastes amazing to top it off!!!
Thank you very much for the shout out! We are glad that we can and do accommodate your dietary needs. I feel its something we do well and can hang our hat on at the end of the day. We appreciate you! See you soon. Nathan Brodbeck General Manager

Delicious!! I seek out True Food every time we're in Denver and it's never disappointed! You can't go wrong with anything you select on the menu, especially recommend the blackened fish tacos or any one of the salads. This place is the best!
Kate- Thank you very much for the high marks. Love hearing about out of town guests coming to join us when they can. See you soon! Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
Always a fav, extraordinary service and wonderful clean food every time.

The food is always amazing at True Food Kitchen. The hummus appetizer is a must.
Good morning Patti- Thank you very much! I do have to say, I 100% agree with you. Our hummus is the best for sure. Hope to see you soon. Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
Food and service is always consistently great.
Thank you for the shout out! Hope to see you again soon Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
We dine very frequently at True Kitchen because they have a diverse and wonderful selections of food and drinks! The food is consistently delicious. It could be as simple as basic Cheese pizza ( a favorite of our 12 year old) to gourmet Edamame Dumplings (yum). What I also like about it is that they are also accommodating to our family’s odd request (like substitutions). The host and the servers are very friendly which make it a pleasant, warm environment to enjoy.
Good morning Mimi- Thank you for the kind words and extremely happy your kids enjoy us as well. Giving a great experience and offering healthy awesome dishes to all ages is our goal. We appreciate it and you! Hope to see you and the family again soon. Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
Anytime we go, Its a great meal, Period. Reservation process is fine, inside or outside seating and the staff is very good.
Thank you for the kind words Ralph. Goes a long way with the team, truly appreciated. Hope to see you again soon. Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
This place has become my favorite restaurant in Denver. It’s in a great location and I just feel good walking in. Tons of natural light, an open kitchen, clean and comfortable seating, and all the servers have been knowledgeable about the menu, personable and generally on top of things. The menu is plant-forward which is great for me but they have something for everyone. I’ve been four times now and can’t wait to go back. I am looking froward to exploring the menu further.
Thank you very much Orlando. Open and transparency is our middle name, not only with our menu but how it is prepared. We do have a nice selection of proteins that can be added to any dish that are also health forward thinking for any guests you may have that enjoy that diet. We look forward to seeing you again soon and please let me know when you are in, would love to say hello! Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
Server was friendly. Food was just ok. Noise level was higher than normal.
Thank you very much for your review. We work hard to exceed our guests expectations and want to ensure we do that with you. We do have a few spots in the restaurant that tend to be tamed down on the noise level as we are quite busy the majority of the time. Feel free to request that on your next visit. If you can also drop me an email at nbrodbeck@truefoodkitchen so I can gather more info on the menu aspect that would go a long way with us. Talk soon Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
It is never good to find a long dark hair in your food. It is even worse when it is in your mouth before you realize it. Poor.
Good morning Ann- Very sorry to hear this and I promise this is not acceptable to us. If you can drop me your contact info at nbrodbeck@truefoodkitchen or call me at 720.509.7661 we would like to turn this around. Look forward to talking to you soon. Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
Molly is a fantastic server and made our lunch experience perfect!
Thank you very much! Molly will be excited to read this. Ill pass it along and look forward to seeing you again soon. Nathan Brodbeck General Manager
Great food and passionate staff. The wait for food was long and the staff seemed flustered to have to accomodate fetching items. My food came out incorrectly but I just stuck with it as I didn't want it sent back having to wait another long wait to get the fixed order. To get attention for help was almost impossible and difficult. They should have checked in on the table more to see if we needed anything.
Everything couldn't have been better. My credit card got stuck in the parking meter & the manager went out of his way to pull it out of the meter for me.
Busy day at TF and I come here often. The service was terrible it took just under an hour to get our food which was unacceptable and cold. The waitress was in another world. And
Pretty noisy at lunch on a Friday afternoon. The server delivered the wrong drink to me and then comped it. I didn't like it that much. Mediterranean salad good but it lacked a center. Maybe it was the presentation.
Healthy delicious food!
Still a hip and trendy place to go for lunch. Crowded, busy, and a bit loud but not enough to make conversation difficult. Portions and prices are reasonable (not oversized). Definitely recommend this for lunch - but don't expect to find parking in Cherry Creek North!
Molly was our server for a birthday luncheon/celebration. Very welcoming, came back frequently but not too much and delivered a flourless chocolate cake for me to share with my friend. Except for the loudness - I think because of the high ceilings - it was a great place to "birthday!"
Ate here two consecutive nights. Excellent food and service. So nice to trust what you get in a resterant.
Actually, took quite a while to be served drinks... then a first course & second course came very close together..
Also, having encouraged our guest to order the sweet potato hash as a dose fish( having had it several times) it was dry & not at all up to normal standards!!
Too bad... first time for our friends & Jess than a stellar first impression!
The food is fine and the menu offers quite a few healthy selections for all kinds of eaters. I had the fish tacos and my friend had the roasted cauliflower, which is listed as an appetizer but is big enough for a lunch entree. The restaurant is casual and usually very crowded at lunch. It's also very loud. My friend and I had trouble hearing each other over the table. Service is fine. Tables are a little crowded together. The restaurant is not particularly warm or charming, but it's okay for a Cherry Creek lunch.
Love the foof
Love the food here! Always fresh tasting and a delicious healthy spin on an array of choices. Can go vegetarian or add meat.
New to Denver we are at True Food night before last. We enjoyed it so much we returned tonight.
Both nights everything was wonderful. Cocktail, food , service...all exquisite!
My daughter enjoyed the lasagna so much the first night she got it again tonight.
I wish True Food Kitchen was in New Orleans!
The food is so good and the menu so varied, that I went 2 nights in a row. Portions are large, as well.
Excellent food and service. It was a very unique and memorable experience.
It was a great dining experience. The food was healthy and interesting and above all delicious!!!! It was a little loud but the place was very crowded!
Our server was outstanding. Very sweet and eager to do good. The grass-fed burger I had was sublime, however, the sweet potato hash, a bit cold and over cooked (burnt in places). Almost done as an afterthought with no respect or attention to detail for it. My daughter's curry dish was raved about as well. Squash pie, not so much. 4 stars given due to a couple of accountability issues that knowing True Food's integrity, would be happy to hear of. The table sitting next to us had two bowls of butternut squash that they had to send back due to lack of flavor. This took me back to a visit 3 weeks before, wherein, we were so pumped to get in to taste the new fall flavors, starting with the star of the show, Butternut squash soup. What a large disappointment. What was an even bigger disappointment was the then manager on duty's response. He was more concerned with defending the soup and his opinion, than that of the only opinion that mattered, the customer. The consistency was more that of baby food, than soup, as well as completely void of any flavor, other than maybe the flour that was masking any flavor attempting to come forth. The manager was an older gentlemen with graying clean cut hair. The manager's in the past have been so welcoming and appreciative. There is a true problem of lacking that's currently taking place as of late within True Food. The butternut squash dishes are unfortunately not the star of the show this season. Quite disappointing. It's been a true hit or miss lately. Our breakfast sandwiches at brunch at a recent visit were cold and lacking the flavor we're all used to as well. Not to mention there was no toilet paper in the women's bathroom whatsoever yesterday. As they say, a restaurant's bathroom is indicative of the culture of the restaurant itself. Time for a bit of accountability True Food. Please don't become complacent. You've been too wonderful for too long. I'm shocked quite frankly. We expect way more of you.
