With countless toppings to choose from, every pizza is prepared before your eyes with fresh ingredients and a level of ingenuity only found after years of family tradition and tireless effort. The last link between the chef and the customer is the genuine wood-burning oven, rarely found in modern restaurants.
The chefs at Trio restaurant work tirelessly to provide you with the best. They will go out of their way to create the delicious meals, made just for you. It this personal approach to dining that makes Trio a memorable evening.
No matter how many times we go to Trio, it never disappoints. They always seem to come up with some great twists.
We always feel like VIP's - the staff, quality of food, presentation, service and atmosphere are great for business, family, or guys/girls night out.
Still the best wood oven pizza around !
Food was good, very tasty but a bit over priced. I think they put us at a temporary table added in for Valentines Day, making it a bit uncomfortable.
Great restaurant, with nice ambiance, laid back, attentive service and quality food. Staff came around "just enough" and were not intrusive. Very polite and professional. I had pizza, and the others in my party had pastas and a lobster special. Everyone was satisfied. My small issue was their could have been a bit more dressing on my ceaser salad.
We always go to this restaurant whenever we are in town. Very quiet, service really good however it's good to have reservations . Only issue is that they change their menus at times and some of my favorite dishes seem to disappear ! Not the end of the world but the food is homemade and fantastic. There's always other dishes I like to try. But I do miss the Eggplant Parm and Chicken Parm. Awesome dishes !
One of our faves! Walkable and delicious.
Truly enjoyable experience. The grilled calamari was one of the best I ever had. Definitely a great value.
The service upstairs level was terrible. We received our appetizers in time but had to wait an excessive long time for our main dish. No apologies were made nor explanation. We should have been given a repeat of our drinks as ours were all gone by the time our dinner came or at least offered a dessert. It was our friend’s first time. They will not come back. Very disappointing
Service and food amazing!!
We love this place!!
It was terrific. Food is always good and the service wonderful.
I have been going to Trio for several years but have not been this year. It was so nice to be reminded of how great the food is at this restaurant. Great night with a friend!!!!
So to start, they got our order wrong and the food was lukewarm. My husband ordered the special - a $50 steak that was full of fat and no flavour. I had the veal that was so coated in sauce that all you could taste was sauce. It used to be really good. This meal and our last meal (we went last month, cold food then too) were both terrible.
It was our second time in this restaurant. We were given a table on the second floor. Not the same experience as on the main floor. Service wasn’t as good and everybody’s dishes were very disappointing.
Lovely neighborhood spot. Service on Saturday night was atrocious. No explanation given for 2 hr 45 min dinner, 2 courses no dessert or coffees.
Went back to Trio for the second time and it was equally as good as the first.
Everything from the antipasto, salads and mains were fantastic.
We can’t wait to go back!!
It was my first time at this restaurant and I was pretty much blown away. The food was excellent and the service was stellar. Clearly I’m late to the party because the place was jampacked as of 7 PM with people waiting to get in. Don’t miss this one, it’s a gem.
This is my usual neighborhood restaurant choice when meeting friends for lunch or a night out. The ambience fits any occasion and the food is so yummy! Service is stellar. Would totally recommend!
Great neighborhood restaurant second time for us and enjoyed both times
Great server. Erin
We have been to Trio many times but Saturday night will be the last time. Service was poor. We asked for more bread when our salads came. It arrived 40 minutes later. Two of us ordered the beef special medium rare, one fish & one a veal chop. My beef was over cooked so I sent it back. I was told it was the last piece of meat. The other meals were not hot. My husband’s veal chop was also over done. He didn’t send it back. The manager came over & told me the beef was pink inside. I tried to explain that it was not medium rare but medium well. She did offer to make something else but by this time everyone was already finished. This entire situation took a fair amount of time. The owner never came to our table to even offer an apology or to find out what happened.
We ordered one ice cream & one chocolate mousse. Our bill came & we were told my dinner was taken off the bill like they were doing me a favour. We all felt they should have not charged for the dessert or the one coffee. Customer service was awful! The owner then went into her office so I couldn’t talk to her. VERY DISAPPOINTING!
Service was very slow. Reservation at 7:00pm. Drinks 7:45, Got appetizers at 8:00. Main course at 9:00pm. Kept asking where meal was & they kept saying it was coming.
Every meal at Trio commences with the best bread plate in town....small slices of baked pizza dough with an oil and garlic topping. These bare pizza bread slices could be a fabulous meal with salad and a glass of wine; however Trio’s pizzas are fabulous too. Our favourite appetizers are the carpaccio of beef and a carpaccio of beets. Nice atmosphere. Great service. Our neighbourhood gem for 2 decades.
Great neighbourhood spot with consistently wonderful food.
The food was delicious & our server, Erin was delightful. We enjoyed interacting with her. Great dining experience!
We have been here 5-6 times and always loved it YET this night just went sideways. Essentially we were seated upstairs and forgotten about the whole night. Kind of disappointing as we know they can do so much better. Service was mediocre at best when they did pay attention.
Great as always
This is a neighbourhood restaurant that excels in all things Italian.. including prompt professional, service. It's always busy. Pizza and Veal chop are outstanding.
The one drawback is the noise level on the main floor since tables are close together. Though the quieter upstairs area is an option, it is quite spartan and void of any character. Investing in an overhaul upstairs, would no doubt make it a preferable option to those who wish a .
One of our very favourite restaurants. So friendly but professional and simply an enchanting place to have lunch or dinner.
Service was friendly and prompt. Meals came quickly (almost too quickly). Food delicious. Choices on menu excellent. Will definitely go back!
A long time staple in our neighbourhood. Had a couple of hiccups after Eduardo left. However back on track. A v enjoyable evening.
On open table website we confirmed special occasion, our 45th wedding anniversary. There was no acknowledgement but staff. Suggest they review all reservations by open table.
We found hair in our food , were charged for the food , bad service overall
Food was great. Service was amazing. Our server did a great job explaining the special. We enjoyed all the food we ordered, taste and presentation were great. Cozy small restaurant, good neighborhood settings
Used to go regularly. This is my last time there. Food was average. Service was atrocious.
It’s always a special occasion at Trio.
Great food and excellent service.
I'm sorry to say that our experience was very poor. It started out well with charming wait staff and good starters that were delivered within a reasonable time frame. But then...we waited well over an hour for our main courses! When we asked where our food was, as all the tables around us (who arrived at the same time as us) had been served and the diners had left as we waited and waited, we kept being told our food was "on the way" . Once it arrived (without an acknowledgement or apology for the delay), the food was very nice but we were all upset by then and ate quickly and left immediately afterwards. Not much of a dining experience... and although the food quality is fine (when it arrives) and the wait staff seem pleasant (unless there's an error that they can't figure out how to fix) that doesn't make up for a very frustrating evening. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone else. There are too many restaurants in Toronto that do everything right without giving my money to one that doesn't seem to care.
We stopped in for a quick lunch and only ordered salads but the server kindly offered we could add any protein, "no problem". Very friendly service, we will be going back soon for a full dinner, can't wait.
We loved the authenticity of the Italian food. Great specials and great menu.
No, the appetizers were very good. Three of us had fish, which we routinely order. It was meh, no taste very bland. We thought the value was poor.
Great service by Erin--had terrific food that was well prepared and served in a timely fashion.
Trio never disappoints! In fact, each time we go there is always that same excellence and we are all so delighted to be there! Every dish we tried was outstanding! A wonderful evening!
Chef Andrea always surprises with some off the menu specialties, pizza is the best in town, and service is outstanding !
