Food was wonderful, however we had two different servers at the same time and were often left neglected.

every month ,a few of us [and by few -i mean we are down to 5] from the 1952 grad class of old O'Donahue school go out to luch and trio's is our favorite place--the staff is wonderful--the food delicious- excellent price value and we can hear each other talk without shouting.1 outstanding feature is we are made to feel important and appreciated---and this must be a big plus because we have been getting together for quite a good many years and our 1st choice is trio-and because of the positive experiences, all of us come here for other occasions too

I was disappointed in Trio. I thought it was a upscale restaurant however it is a family diner. Perhaps if I had gone in knowing that I would have not been as disappointed. I had the meatloaf, dry and over cooked. My friend had the salmon which she enjoyed very much. so, all in all, Trio is a family eating place, not one to impress a date!

A tried and true laid back restaurant near I485 and convenient to surrounding shopping areas, but out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the malls and main streets in the area.

I worked with the staff to set up a surprise 75th birthday dinner for my wife and they did a great job of seating us in a quiet area, helping with the surprise. Our server was attentive, took pictures, respectful and competent. The food was excellent, although not quite foodie level but neither were the prices! Great value and it was a perfect experience.

I chose Trio for Sunday brunch to celebrate a family birthday. Excellent food. Great variety on the brunch menu. The breakfast pizza was a creative choice and was fabulous.
Service was very good. Will definitely be back!

Trio is our favorite restaurant to go to. They have great food for a good price. The menu has something that everyone in our big family can enjoy. We go out to eat every Saturday night around the Charlotte area and out of all the restaurants we have been to, we still love Trio best.
Thanks Trio,
Carol Van 7

Stephanie our waitress was a great server, french onion soup is flavorful and everyone fought over the puffed pastry that comes on top of it, this is the only place I ever order it .
Our table liked their entrees, literally menu has something for everyone. I prefer the main dining room, has a more open feel than the booths up front by the hostess station.

The service was outstanding very efficient and friendly she did not hover but was available when needed. The food was very good, the salad small greens was fresh and tasty, the filet mignon that the four of us had at the table was very tasty, flavorful and tender although it was a teeny bit oven-cooked in some areas. The smashed potatoes with Gouda cheese we're really delicious and asparagus were cooked to a perfect point. The brownie was also moist and nutty, with icecream (not vanilla but delicious ) and cream, really yummy. They don't play loud music so we could actually have a conversation but this is not a place to dress-up more to be comfortable. We will return.

Always go to Trio for Queensfeast, was a little disappointed that for the first time a glass of wine was not included in the beverage selection. The filet selection always had a crab cake with it and that was not included this time either, but I do realize Trio I'm sure is trying to keep the cost down to $30.

Heard many wonderful reviews but had never gone. I hate that I have missed at least 20 years of Trio's. Not sure how long the restaurant has been established but now I know I'll spend much more time there. Exceeds all the reviews I have heard!!!

We visited Trio on Thursday, July 13th with another couple from our neighborhood. We have been to Trio on several previous occasions and have always enjoyed ourselves. Dinner for four, including 3 glasses of wine and 2 ice teas, came to $104. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Having been a repeat customer at this restaurant, I can tell you I have never been disappointed with the food or service. This restaurant, conveniently located on Pineville-Matthews Road just about a mile east of I-485 is a neighborhood favorite. I'm sure you will enjoy the atmosphere and the reasonable prices. They have the best filet mignon in Charlotte!

We went on a busy Friday night but the service was still top notch. Food was served in a timely matter and as nicely presented. I had a shrimp, sausage and angel hair pasta dish that was excellent. Jusr the right temperature and it was very flavorful.

We had a terrible start to an otherwise fantastic experience. We were seated outside the patio and asked for the heat to be turned on. On the other side there was a party that didn't want the heat turned on and proceeded to throw a tantrum , slamming hands and glaring at us. I immediately went to management and requested a relocation. Management was compassionate and acted swiftly in relocating our large party. From then on the experience was fantastic. The food was delicious: definitely try the quiches and the collard greens with the shrimp & grits were seasoned well. I would definitely suggest a reservation via OpenTable or the phone for weekend brunch. Trio is a very popular place and rightly so.

My husband and I ate at Trio about 8 years ago and the atmosphere was the same. Not really noisy but still okay so that you could laugh and talk with your family. The appetizer selection is great. The food amazing the Mediterranean dishes are perfectly seasoned and portioned. We will definitely returning!

We had a group of 10 and we sat on the patio. It was great! We could actually hear each other and carry on a conversation. The waitstaff was very efficient and no one rushed us to finish, so we had plenty of time to visit with old friends. The almond basket dessert is wonderful!
