Very busy. Very noisy. But delious food. Birthday dinner with whole family. Took a while to be served.
3 of us had the fish sandwich which was barely 2.5 inches in diameter. Very disappointing since this is not the first time we have been there.
Our waiter went out of the way to accommodate our meal request (splitting a dinner) food was excellent. Always a great experience
Awesome as always!
Tri-color chips, Shrimp and Grits, and Almond Basket!
Love this restaurant. The latest visit was a family birthday dinner so I chose Trio because: 1. Prime rib Wednesday special; 2. Great for larger groups and kids; 3. The baked Alaska. As always, the food was delicious and the staff was fabulous. Everyone enjoyed their food, from the prime rib to the fried chicken sandwich.
We had not been to Trio's in several years. Why I don't know but I am really glad we decided to go. The food and the service was outstanding and unlike many locations it did not break the bank. We generally do not go out during restaurant week however my good friend was celebrating his 75th birthday and was on his way up north so I took a chance to see where we could get a reservation and Trio's had an opening @ 7:30. While it was busy, as expected, the service and quality of food was outstanding. We were able to get one seat at the bar and the bartenders could not be more friendly and accommodating. We will be back very soon and will definitely recommend Trio's to all of my friends. Thanks to the entire staff for a great evening.
We have been to Trio's 15 to 20 times in the past. The service is always great. The food is always great. The last time we went was for Restaurant Week in Charlotte, NC. We also went to 2 other Restaurants during the week, but of the three Trio's stood out. If you want to have a good time, good food, and good service, this is the place.
Great deal for restaurant week. Wife had seafood, I had steak. Both were great. Will definitely go back for regular menu.
Casual yet refined. Nice dinner options with a great price. Will be returning.
Trio has been our favorite, south Charlotte restaurant for over 25 years. It is our kitchen's annex ...
My friends and I came here for Restaurant Week. I had the Lobster/shrimp ravioli . It was delicious. All courses were great! The only complaint I have is that my Almond basket was burned on my dessert. So overall I was happy with experience.
Everyone enjoyed their entree and the appetizers were a hit!!!
Overall a great dining experience. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.
Had a great time. Enjoyed everything. Each course was fantastic, even the soup and I don't like soup! I really enjoyed myself.
I ordered the Farro risotto this time and it was delicious. I will order that again. Trio's is a great neighborhood restaurant. You always know that you will find something that you will like. It is moderately priced, but it is not fast food. Everything is cooked to order, plated and well presented. Fine dining at an affordable price.
I think an $11.00 salad should have more ingredients and be larger.
My favorite Charlotte restaurant. Always good with excellent service. Try the specials - you won't be disappointed. I recommend the jambalaya.
We really like Trios and it always comes thru good wise! We both we pleased with our entrees—-lunch specials
We love Trio’s and always enjoy the food and service! It is our favorite restaurant!!
Food was very good and accompanied with very good service.
We were a group of 10 with 2 children, we all enjoyed our food. I had the lobster ravioli with some extra parmesean cheese grated on top.... If not in a restaurant, I would have licked the plate! The calamari also was some of the best I've had. I was visiting Charlotte from NJ, but next time I'm there I will definitely go back to Trio!
The food here is great! The kitchen is accommodating to special needs. My favorite place to meet a friend to catch up. It never gets too loud for conversation.
We have been going to Trio for about 15 years. The staff is largely the same. What does that say? This locally owned gem beats those chains by miles and miles. Their specials change monthly, so check the site under "menus" to see the specials each month. Always something fantastic on there for most tastes. The bar is usually busy with locals; a lot of times the same locals! But they are happy to include newbies into the group and are friendly and welcoming.
We like to sit "in the pit", where there are just 3 booths across from the brick pizza oven.
Brunch always offers faves like pancakes (only on Sunday and different each week) and benedicts, but I love the breakfast pizza with spinach, fontina, scrambled eggs...yum! Michelle makes the best mimosas and poinsiettas (champagne and cranberry); it's like she just whispers "juice" over the champagne. If you like curry, you've got to try the Mulligatawny soup. WOW. And the quiches are succulent no matter the fillings. Delicious.
Lemon salmon with creamed cauliflower and grilled asparagus is my go to for lunch or dinner; you'll never miss the carbs, promise!! My husband loves the Trio meatloaf and it looks delicious, but so much food! 2 full meals' worth at least. If you're a salad person, the Killer dressing lives up to its name!
Service is friendly and never rushed. Servers are knowlegeable and can answer any question on the spot. Just after church lets out there's a wait. Always. So go early or after 1 unless you don't mind waiting. Or just go on Saturday!
We went for Sunday brunch on Christmas Eve to celebrate a birthday. Service was fast and the food was delicious.
Salad I ordered with salmon - needed more salmon and a LOT less stalky green. Part of money I paid was for tough stalk that no one would want to eat. Disappointed in the overall salad = have had much better food there in the past.
The restaurant was very crowded so it may be that just my meal was not very good for some reason. I ordered the Trios salad and it tasted and looked like it had been sitting around for quite a period of time.
We had a table for 6, and even with the Holiday parties, our food was done to perfection. Our waitress, was attentive but not over bearing. She was always there to respond to our needs. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the food was yummy.
Pleasant atmosphere, good for conversation. Service was a bit slow even though they weren't busy. The staff were friendly and polite. Food was delicious. The place is a bit worn but the menu is solid and is a good value.
Good fun and service. Great location. Reaonanly priced and balanced menu offerings. Would go back!
Fabulous as always. Tremendously fresh and creative dishes and great value. Such a nice atmosphere too. A Charlotte-Pineville treasure!
