Trio - Puerto Vallarta Ratings and Reviews
By far one of the top three restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. Fantastic service and a great bar with some of the most sought after tequilas as well as great Martinis. The food is allways spectacular and varied. Most with an European flare and a touch of the sea. This is a not to be missed Restaurant. The wine list is espectacular and the sommelier knows his stuff. Special wines from a hidden cellar on request. Reservations on weekends a must. NO TANK TOPS ALLOWED.
We have been eating here for over 15 years as one of our special nights during our annual visit. This trip didn’t disappoint. Delicious artichoke soup and calamari appetizer (a rich broth of calamari). Fish superb. Martinis cold and crisp. A little warm inside from the weather but nothing to complain too much about.
One of the best restaurants in PV. A really fantastic cuisine always innovative, great wine list and a fantastic somalier, A very special K bar with some very old authentic expensive tequila’s. Trio is not a restaurant to be missed. Reservations on the weekend recommended.
Fantastic restaurant!!!! This is a new restaurant for us. We had made 8:00 pm reservations but came about 7:15 pm. No problem with arriving early.
The food is superb! My wife had lamb chops and I had a pork dish. We liked the menu because for some of the dishes you can choose a small or large position. Our waiter was wonderful.
My wife and I both liked the ambiance of the restaurant. It is an old building with beautiful decorations. This is a very cozy restaurant.
We highly recommend the restaurant and look forward to dining there in the future.
My wife and I had a fantastic dining experience here again this year. My steak was large, cooked the right amount and the veggies and spices were delicious. Her stuffed chicken breast was also delicious. The service was prompt and friendly while not being at all pushy. I only wish we could come to Puerto Vallarta more often to be able to enjoy dining at this dining gem.
We've read the great reviews everytime we're in Puerto Vallarta, but had never made it to Trio. This time I just couldn't let the vacation go by without eating here. There were 2 other couples that joined us for dinner and everyone not only had a great time, but really enjoyed the food. The foie gras terrine was melt in your mouth perfect and the lamb chops so tender. We will go back as often as possible.
We visit PV often and Trio is always at the top of our list. We were seated at the front window as requested. Everything on then is delicious. We are light eaters and really appreciate many have the option of half-siiz eortions. I had the half size of lamb chops and had two superbly lamb chops ehich ws the right amount of food. White table clothes, superb service, upscale. Never been disappointed.
This was our second time at Trio over the last two years and it was excellent in all respects both times--there are few restaurants anywhere I can say that about. The value here is outstanding--the meal we had here, back home in the US, would have cost twice as much (I realize this relates to the exchange rate but still).
We absolutely loved the food at Trio (our first time in PV). I have celiac disease and other food sensitivities and communicated that when making our reservation and when ordering. I was reassured everything was fine ( I speak some Spanish), but I did get sick after eating here. :(
Trio has a very relax atmosphere. Even though it has a live group of guitarists (hence the name Trio = 3) playing Mexican romantic tunes in a very soft tone, just perfect to hear it in the background. Most guests respect the smart casual look, so it is nice to dine with people not wearing flip flops or t-shirts! Service is great, bilingual waiters. We tried the 7-course meal, plus had an appetizer, it was too much food for us. The food was great too. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting PV.
