Trio New American Cuisine
Great choice of meals, and nice wine list. Prices were a great value. Small room and very cozy not to noisy.
Trio never disappoints!! Love our little neighborhood gem!!
This farm to table is sure to please with it's seasonal changing menu and friendly staff. The lamb is marvelously tender and is served with a tart juniper and cherry sauce.
I always dine at Trio for lunch but this was first time for dinner and truly enjoyed it. Everything was so good and we loved bringing our own wine. The server was so accommodating by aerating our wine in one of their decanters, which made it a lovely evening. Will definitely return...........
We don’t get to come to Trio as often as I would like. It was great as usual!
Wonderful food and friendly, knowledgeable wait staff made for a very enjoyable dinner.
We love Trio. It’s the best restaurant in the area, in our opinion. Everything is delicious and the menu changes every few months to keep it interesting.
Wonderful evening, wonderful food, wonderful service!
Fantastic meal! We will be back soon!
Thank you so much for staying late, beyond your regular business hours, to accommodate our table! Service was remarkable!
Our entire party of 4 loved the food here. This was a first visit for all and won't be our last. Not much in the way of ambiance but the food is the star of the show. Wine and beer only which works for us. Great find!
Very good food, outstanding service. There is absolutely no noise dampening in this reataurant! It is extremely loud & it is difficult to converse.
Excited to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of this special place. Great food, service and overall experience. Thank you to all!
Great food, service and atmosphere
It was amazing. It is ALWAYS amazing. We traveled in our RV. This is the first restaurant I go to when I return.
We had a wonderful evening. Loved the guitarist and everything was excellent.
The 10th Anniversary celebration was absolutely perfect in every way. The new menu items are remarkable. If you haven’t eaten there yet you are missing the best food in the Mid-Cities.
We enjoyed a lovely 4 course chef's tasting menu to celebrate Trio's 10 year anniversary. Everything from the lobster tempura deviled egg to the cereal milk bread pudding was utterly delicious and memorable. Many meals I eat are easily forgettable, but all everything at Trio was expertly seasoned and prepared. Service and the wine pairings were great as well!
Always top quality for of and service. A bit pricy but hard to find better meals.
We really enjoy Trio every time we go. Food is always excellent and service too. Highly recommend.
The food is so unique and everything is amazing. Love that Jason always comes out to speak with us and share our wine. Love that this place being BYOB!
Trio is one of the best restaurants in DFW, in my opinion. If you like Grace, Lonesome Dove, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle, Waters, Chefs Point, etc... none are better than Trio. Th Chef’s creations are fantastic. Don’t let the modest setting fool you. Give Trio a try and you won’t be sorry.
Y’all I cannot express on here how much I love this place! The food is exquisite and made from scratch, ambiance is low-key and romantic, I absolutely recommend it! Valentines dinner was a set menu and I had a very hard time choosing each course. I had an amazing barramundi fish filet that was crispy on the edges and served in a rich, flavorful broth that I literally wanted to drink from the bowl. Every course was paired with a perfectly timed glass of wine, chosen by the very talented sommelier. The service is excellent, they are passionate about the food they serve and it is evident in their delivery of the menu. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants! Go now and make a reservation, because it will be full. You will not be disappointed, support our local chefs!
Overall for the price that we paid the Valentine's Day deal was nice but not worth the money. The food options were ok, but I would personally not pick my choices to eat again. All of the dishes were plated well and had a sense of being up scale to high class but they weren't. A BBQ spare rib is always a BBQ spare rib, I liked it but was not impressed. My wife had the duck which was very tough and a tad undercooked.
For a couple hundred dollar meal my main issue was being a restaurant in a strip mall. These strip mall restaurants have a really hard time not looking like they were once a office or Vap store. Sound and decor are typically issues in these restaurants and this fact was true throughout Trio. It didn't help that everyone was sitting on top of each other.
The last expectation that was not met was the wait staff. One gentleman was well trained and polite and noticed that we were not given water or been visited in 5 minutes since we sat down. He apologized and gave us water and notified our server. The hostess was useless and told us what corner to sit in by pointing at it. The staff was nice but they were the same caliber as a server at Applebee's.
Excellent service from the owner and his staff to accompany the exceptional cuisine.
Wonderful wonderful wonderful! Food was fantastic!!
Normally like this place but the Valentines fixed menu was disappointing
Overpriced as well
One of my favorite places to eat lunch ! Food is fabulous! I have used Trio for catering and was perfect! Valentines dinner was wonderful. However, I thought $100 a person was too much for the set dinner menu. Our bill was $400 . We did not have any wine or alcholol.
We always love the friendly staff and the outstanding food. Trio is our favorite restaurant for a weeknight supper or a special occasion night out.
We've been to Trio several times, with mixed results. This time it was very good. Creative menu with each dish well prepared.
The service was exceptional, our waitress did everything perfectly. The one less-than-ideal experience was with the Kimche Burger - ordered Medium, my wife's meal was clearly Rare. Not one to complain, I didn't realize until after our meal was completed - she was able to pick around the edges, but for the most part left the rest of the meal untouched. Our server noticed, had the meal removed from our tab, so thank you.
The special was bacon-wrapped scallops and risotto, extremely tasty. The biscuits they serve pre-meal are a treat in their own right; Gumbo was ordered spicy, but still didn't pack much of a punch.
We'll return, great ambiance and menu.
Food was fantastic! Noise level was too loud for conversation.
Attention to detail was missing. Shrimp and grits served without tempura fried okra and then dropped on table in small ramekin and definitely not tempura fried. Ginger sweet potatoes warm at best as were brussel sprouts. Service lax and no one asked how it all was not what we expect from this place
Great food. Dishes are unique, tasty and one of the best. Local chef that is terrific, pastry and desserts are exceptional. It is pricey so it is a special occasion place.
Food was fantastic!!!
Staff made us feel a little rushed while enjoying such a nice dinner.
HIGHLY recommend a face lift to improve the ambience to warm up the stark atmosphere.
We went to Trio during restaurant week. The food and service were very good and the wine list fairly extensive but a little pricy. The entrees were creative and tasty. We enjoyed the experience even though the noise level is a little loud for normal conversation.
Always wonderful! Chef Jason and his wonderful staff never disappoint!
The food is truly first rate. Everything we ate was made with high quality, fresh ingredients and was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. A great local gem.
